  • The 4th boss of this game is also the final boss.
In order to reach him, you need all 22 Trophies up to this point, 15 Gems, & 12 Crystals.
At this point, as a good guy, Aku Aku now suspected that Uka Uka has been planning something with the Crystals your character has one. To keep them out of his reach, you MUST win this final challenge!
    ----------
Evident by its name, Oxide Ride's boss is none other than Nitrous Oxide! Looks like he's out for bitter revenge after losing in that go-kart competition in the previous year!
First, you use a personal spaceship to chase after him through an asteroid belt. Watch out for the mines and walls that get in your way, as well as the missiles and Nitros he may leave behind him.
And this is only going to be the first phase of the match!
Going through a warp gate, you'll chase Oxide to his home planet, Gasmoxia, where he then challenges you to a very lethal round of Ballistix!
What would be your goal points are instead your health, here, so you actually take damage each time a ball passes your goal. At least this applies to him, too!
What DOESN'T apply to Oxide, however, is that missiles that periodically get aimed at you at times. The red balls from Sky Balls' Crystal Challenges will also spawn in, too, so don't touch those.
On top of all of this, Oxide is much more skilled at keeping balls from passing his goal. The only mercy you have here is that you will restart to this phase if you died in it.
The "easiest" way to make Oxide's defense crack of this is to get as many balls into the field as you can.
    OVERWHELM HIM WITH YOUR BALLS!
    ----------
After defeating Oxide, the resulting ending is based on which character you use and who they aligned with for the mask's competition. In a 2-Player playthrough, if each player is of opposing sides, they'll have one last Crate Crush tie breaker to decide which side wins.
Since Crash is a good guy (as always), here's the Good Ending:
Uka Uka is ANGRY at his side losing, and planned to take his rage out on Cortex and Brio for their failures in the competition that HE plotted to have his side win this whole time.
As such, Aku Aku was able to seal away all of the Crystals that Uka Uka plotted to win, and then banished him from their little temple by flushing him out into space.
    ----------
After the fireworks credits... you get taken into Warp Room 5, the TRUE final Warp Room in the game.
This contains all of the remaining stages to unlock any play in the game. By this point, there are no more Ballistix, Polar Push, Pogo Pandemonium, and Crate Crush levels to find, but Warp Room 5 does have 1 more Tank Wars stage, 2 more Crash Dash stages, and 3 more Medieval Madness levels.
These are all unlocked under different conditions, such as collecting enough Gems, Crystals, or Gold Relics.
I'm actually not going to bother with the Warp Room 5 for a while, as my next step is to start collecting Relics!
Thanks for watching so far, and stay tuned for the Relic hunt!
