That came out SO good! I can imagine a couple of skelly's with eyepatches enjoying those around the haunt. And I love that you show us the mistakes too!
Those little jugs are so cute that you just want to make good use of them. They have a super tiny one maybe four inches tall maximum and I may someday make a teeny pirate jug of one.
The spout should probably be cut out to, to reduce the twist ofc top look. Now I have a use for my empties! These were usually pottery, not glass, rumfustian being such a cheap and lowdown drink. The bottom would be the colour of the clay, with glaze only used on the inside and around the top.
I was thinking of what kind of pirate brik-a-brak I could add to my haunt being islander/pirate themed, this may do just the trick. Love the trick with the EVA foam and foil, I've done something years ago like that for cosplay when I needed some leather bracers Something I'd add to completely sell the look is see if I could find a cork to add to the top as opposed to keeping it open, or perhaps add some twine around the screw lip o hide it if you didn't want to cut it off.
Hello, Im New to Your Channel. Got A Great Referral to Your Channel From Wicked Makers and Checked Out Your Channel. So Glad I Did. Aesome Videos. Keep Up The Great Props.😀😃
love it. might switch it up with a raven logo or something to use in our witch area. Large cork with one of those little skulls that come in a bag at dollar store, for a topper maybe. nicely done. and on a personal note, more than usual, started in august, I watch these videos on saturdays before I start working on the haunt.
That really looks great, Derek! Your channel has inspired me to create my first haunt this year. I just moved to a house off of a well-traveled road, and I don’t think we will have any trick-or-treaters since it’s not easily accessible. But I like the idea of creating a graveyard scene with lots of fun lighting and I’m going to put a couple hollusion ghosts in the yard for more of a drive-by haunt. Thanks for the great tutorials!
Been looking at making some of these. Haven't been able to find anything similar to those bottles. I have a 3D file but not done it yet. Might have to look for those syrup bottles now. Nice job.
Nice result. You could have removed the casting edges with a scalpel, which improves the appearance of plastic parts enormously. But otherwise a really good idea and execution.
@@VanOaksProps No offense. As I said, I thought the video was very well done and the result was great. I'm just sensitized to spotting mold edges from building miniatures, where they're much more distracting. But most people probably wouldn't even notice them :D
As always this is an awesome build man! What do you use for a vinyl cutter? I think the east India trading company logo would be awesome on the barrels that i just bought for my pirate haunt.
@@VanOaksProps I know all about it. My office and my shop are in my garage. I've got two AC's and an evap cooler running to keep it comfy out here. Fwiw I'll be hosting a pirate themed haunt the weekend of the 10/26 at the Academy Theatre on Van Buren and 15th ave :).

Thanks for the inspiration! And the empty jugs!
Well done, Mate!!! Next, I see a cannon build video. Love how the Syrup Jug came out!
Amazing. I think it needs a cork to hide the thin plastic walls.

If you glued that EVA foam down without the lacing and made it seamless I could see this as a old moon shine jug.
Nice!! I might just have to do this myself! It just needs a big ol cork in the top to complete the look hehe
Looks great and thanks for including the various oops from time to time. Shows us what not to try.
Nice and fairly simple. I think I might sand down the mold line on the jug before starting on the rest of the decor though.

Thank you and welcome!
Nicely done! Fun to see a unique “upcycle” and that EITC stencil is a great graphic for the overall aesthetic.
Big fan of your haunted mansion & pirate props. Would love to see more of your Indiana Jones projects. Great job man!

I’m flattered! You’ve been a big inspiration.

What town are you in?
The satin clear coat/glass effect sells it! Now, if only it were bigger!
They sell larger sizes!
Great as usual! I have one of those syrup bottles in the fridge!
Another cool tutorial! Amazing what can be done with some repurposing, techniques and some paint, great job!
Wonder how you make core look "aged" ?!

Syrup from Costco looks just like this.
@@Like_A_Hamburger_Bun That's where they came from. Vons/Safeway has syrup in the same jugs.
That’s awesome! I have the same syrup bottle and I think I’ll do this when it’s empty. Thank you Derek!
So cool! I was expecting you to Dremel off the seam of the plastic molding too.
It was too hot. Lol
I really like this one. Very direct and specific. plus excellent results as always.
Simple but effective. Nice!
Awesome🏴☠️ Halloween props, thank you so much for sharing 🎃💀🪦🦇
Wish I can find big bottles like this . So they look real.
Costco or Vons/Albertsons/Safeway sells them
excellent. I would love to try this.
I freakin' LOVE this one! Nice job man.
Love you're creations! I've learnt so much from you. Thank you 👍
I'm so glad!
Question- How many pancakes did it take to use up all that syrup 🤔 Very creative Derek!!
Hahaha. None. They were delivered without syrup or pancakes.
Actually, zero. Now if you want to talk Belgian waffles... :)
Nice result. You could have removed the casting edges with a scalpel, which improves the appearance of plastic parts enormously. But otherwise a really good idea and execution.
It was so hot that day, I wasn't even thinking about that seam. LOL

And what brand of syrup is this? Not sure I've seen this bottle on Canadian shelves.
I believe it’s Trader Joe’s brand.
Ours is from Vermont maple syrup. Worth smuggling in!
Do they make corks that big for the opening at the top? Or possibly make one?
I had the same thought, but with it being so hot out I just couldn’t bring myself to stay outside any longer.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Awesome!
Great project. Could you keep the text on screen longer? I had to replay those parts to read them.
Noted!
cool
Making hooch from the syrup first...
Hahaha

I use the Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutter
Cool
Do you have a video purely for glass weathering? Similar to your dusting effect here
I have one about aging mirrors.
Where did you get your hat with the pumpkin patch on it that you wear sometimes?
It’s a patch from Creepy Co. on a fitted New Era cap.
Nice💀
115? Sounds like Phoenix
Yeah, it was brutal. We've just started getting into the triple digits here and I'm ready to move! haha
