i want so badly to say we're gonna win the league. picture is getting more blurry with each performance even when we win. saka is out, jesus is out, a number of players are looking goal shy even though we are getting shots off, the havertz conundrum is tiresome, odegaard's role is unclear, there are far too many dm's in the midfield rotation and a number of signings just haven't hit the mark. thankfully, with Nwaneri and MLS looking like elite prospects, we have less ground to cover in the market, but we have to cover ground in the market after the summer of 2024 all the same. i've said it for a while now, the players themselves needed to see real reinforcements come in. not backups, actual starters that will help push them on to the league title. it's like being in a war, you're down to your last munitions and rations, but there's a supply drop in a days time so you hold out. but what was in the supply drop? some cake and wooden swords. we needed guns and real food for soldiers. i can't expect us to win the war like this.
