Salomon is an excellent brand of high quality in my opinion. I have a pair of Goretex Salomon trail shoes that I used for training (walking an average of 125 km per week prior to trips). I have walked over 2,500 km in them over several years without any failure. Still plenty of treat left on them. Never any blisters or rubbing. Excellent grip. Very stable. I usually wear Scarpa boots outdoors bushwalking. No damage except one plastic end one of the laces is starting to chip away. Just amazing.

2,500km in one set of shoes is impressive! I have quite a few pairs of Salomons and use them a lot!
