      You can take pics as you take it apart and just follow that in reverse to put it back together. That's what I did when I did a lot of work to my CZ75 Omega. There's also plenty of written guides on how to do it and probably several video guides online to follow if you get stuck. Plus once you work on guns for long enough, you start to learn how things work and can usually figure out what goes where with a little trial and error.

    Nice job. If you use something hard and flat to back your sandpaper, it will help your finished surface look more flat once you paint it. Oh and never allow the hammer to drop on a gun without the slide or upper part on. You can crack the frame, crack the hammer itself, etc. Put something there to pad it or use your thumb to gently allow it down, don't let it fall under full spring pressure like that.

  • @navywolf1753
    @navywolf1753 Год назад +128

    Hey I just wanted to say, you did a decent job with this, even if your methods aren't exactly "gentle". What you have is a 1992 CZ-75 "Pre-B" model, which differs from the modern version in a few ways, and parts (especially magazines) may not be interchangeable. If you haven't already, I STRONGLY recommend replacing the recoil spring (underneath the barrel) before ever firing this firearm, otherwise you risk bodily harm as well as damage to the pistol. I have to ask, did you fish this thing out of a river?

      i have an old pre B CZ 75 and have a shot few thousand rounds through it and different makes of ammo and reloads etc and not one failer but i have friends will Glocks that have had alot of issues because the gun dose not like the ammo or striker problems or frames cracking etc. The old pre B CZ 75 will out perform a standard Glock.

    Very good job. I would use an old newspaper on my work surface to catch all the crud, and small containers to store and group all the parts disassembled especially the tiny ones.

      Exactly what I was thinking 🤔 no mag in, but a cocked hammer with a stuck slider is a good indicator that there's still a round inside.. and to fire 1 time the slider doesn't need to work

    • @rusticrestorationsyt
      @rusticrestorationsyt  Год назад +90

      I stuck a rod down the barrel and compared it to the outside length to confirm there was not a round inside. So the whole time I was doing everything I knew that it was not loaded!

    If I read it correctly by the ejector it's a 1993 production 75. If anything, the finish on that gun is a testament to the quality of these firearms. Would of loved to see you drop a round in it and safely send it downrange.
