- The BEST Crappie Catch and Cook I've Ever Done!!
In this episode I head out kayak fishing for Crappie in South Alabama using a new Bobby Garland crappie jig I've never used before. The action was tough but we were able to catch us a nice crappie to do a catch and cook!!

I always keep a peg float in my life vest pocket. Alternate between casting and dragging under a float
Right on!
Nice to see you doing crappie fishing. Some good eating fish there
🙌 🙌
Tough day fishin' Nate. You're fun to watch even on tough days! Next time toss the noodles in the pan with the sauce so that they all get coated, plate them and put the fish on top.
You bet brother!
MDLR cooks this meal a lot. Good video as usual.
Thanks brother!!
From what I’ve learned winter was my best crappie time and then spring. I caught my biggest about 3 1/2 pounds it was huge crappie favorite fish catch.
I caught two of those
Great video and that jig looked really good! Keep on having fun Bro!
Thanks brother!!
I love your catch and cooks and this one was a good one bro
🙌 🙌
Looks good! I hear ya with the Stagg, Weller SR, OWA, Blanton’s, and Rare Breed in the cabinet! Good choices! That Old Elk is 🔥 too!
Good eye lol
@@southernsalt you should do a catch clean and cook with a bourbon pairing!!!
Well I was trying to write something else as the video was coming to a close, and unfortunately when it ended, I lost what I had written. I was just wondering though, do you think you could maybe make the pasta with all that sauce in it including the fish juices, etc first? I love me a good fettuccine Alfredo! One of my most favorite Italian dishes ever! I guess it wouldn't really matter either way, it's probably more of whatever works type deal. Can't remember exactly what I was saying before it got removed, but, I'm a transplant from Pennsylvania to Florida, so I'm a Florida resident now, but I would say that up north, crappie is probably one of the best tasting freshwater fishes even so. They do have rainbow trout, but they're stocked for one thing. Anyway appreciated the video greatly! God bless in everything you do brotha!
Cant wait to get on those next weekend! I ordered my Old Town AP 120 this morning! Thank you for your opinion on the AP, can't wait to get out!
Nice!!
👍👍👍👍👍great 🎣and cook video
🙌
Just now getting to this video but dude you’d catch more crappie with a bobber above that jig. Shallow water crappie you can’t beat bobber and jig. Love the channel bro
Thank you!! I
Man I've caught more crappie this month than I have in my entire life. And it's a short month.
Take me with you 😂 😂
Awesome stuff as always, keep em coming brother! Just uploaded a vid myself trying a new crappie bait that's absolutely killer. Its the Zman baby BallerZ!
Nice!!
Nice to see some Croppie hook ups
Man it was tough lol
Hopefully that's just for you brotha. Only reason I'm saying is, because I don't think I would have filleted just one crappie of that size. You might have gotten more out of just scoring the meat and picking the bones out. Just my thought.
We want JET SKI FISHING!!!!!
The wind has to calm down lol
Man I'm excited bro crappie are the best freshwater fish meat
To eat bb!

Absolutely. I hope to be down there soon!
Did you get those crappie jigs online I would like to have the link thank you
Found them in a store passing through Florida
Hey Nate I was wondering if ur lures are good in Florida
They are. I did a full series in December down in Crystal River catching redfish and snook on them.
@@southernsalt awesome I bought a bunch of them thanks
You might not be a chef Nate, but doggone if I don't wanna copy this recipe.
lol it’s a good one
is it a law in alabama to have to wear a lifejacket while kayaking?
The law states you have to have one on the kayak not on your person but I highly encourage anyone on a kayak to wear one at all times
