The story was *unbelievably* different. Apparently "where they're always told to hide" was the attic. But at the same time also, Scott...didn't know where that was? Even though it's where he *ALWAYS* tells them? The basement made more sense anyway.
The basement was more logical. It’s underground, therefore it’s more secure than the attic, which someone could easily climb to the top of the house and access. The basement ain’t so easy to get to. If the attic really was where Scott always tells them to hide, you’re right; he definitely would’ve remembered where that place is, unless he got disoriented after seeing and running away from Freddy, which caused him to temporarily forget that place. Then again, the Bedroom completion cutscene shows Scott going to the basement, where he found a tape recorder or whatever that thing is that reveals that Val took Nick to the Attic, claiming that ‘They can’t harm us there’, to which Scott says he should’ve known. The story in the demo was confusing to me. I’m glad Nikson changed it to make more sense in the full release
Correcting my deleted comment: I had thought they went to the attic because of the endos in the basement using the logic from the finished game, but I found more out about the development and the endos weren't a thing back in the time of this demo. So my theory now is that this "Unused Basement Cutscene" was created BEFORE the one with Freddy chasing scott, and simply added in there because its the only other cutscene Nikson had made at the time. Perhaps this "Basement Cutscene" was taking place in the "original story" Nikson talked about in the anniversary where Michael was a real person, and Val and the kids went to the attic to hide instead of the basement. Notice how calm Scott is acting in that cutscene, correlating to the story we hear over the strangely relaxed phone call in the original Living Room, also, which was made during the time the original story for the game was, before Phisnom joined in helping with the game. More about the Basement Level: Nikson obviously remade the basement from the ground up in Story Mode, which is why this map, which as Nikson has said on Discord, was really just meant for the demo, because if you look closely, it is made with the same objects from Bonnie's level in Reborn. Phisnom did not want Nikson to use old and unoriginal models, hence Nikson making the basement from scratch as well as the endos.
@Comment Spae - The kids didn't write that note, Michael did to mislead Scott. Michael wanted Scott to go to the Basement. In the demo, they went to hide in the Attic, but this plot didn't support the adding of more levels to the game, so it was corrected in the full game, to where the family left the house and escaped.
So wait, Michael WAS trying to kill Scott in the original story? Due to that unused voiceline where he says he "programmed them to only deal with him, not the others".
@@Mr._Tru3 I'd like to think them burning caused them to malfunction and just- become bloodthirsty creatures. Maybe originally, they attacked Michael which gave Scott an advantage to escape. Although, the house becoming a dilapidated labyrinth of rules that don't follow logic is... Out of place. You can definitely tell Nikson had no fucking idea what he was doing for the original story.
what is the strategy for the old living room i got to 4 am an even then freddy killed me even though i was hiding behind the couch, lol, i actually really like it IDK why Nikson got rid of it

@@Mr._Tru3 hey congrats are you the first person to complete the (demo) version of the LIVING ROOM"STORY MODE"
That little rainbow static when you beat a level is so satisfying
Finally! Someone talking about the static!
"*Sigh* God damn it, why are they doing this? They're only programmed to deal with him, not the others! *sigh*... Oh- oh, oh, crap."
EXPOSED! but seriously this could of completely foreshadowed everything
15:11 you can hear the message from Michael that was unused in the full game.
It is interesting and unfortunate that it didn’t make the cut for the full release

I didn't expect the bedroom demo to be pretty much the same unlike living room
The living room was only changed because of how buggy it was. I think the bedroom turned out pretty good
It will be cool if foxy stayed in the two doors before he was on the left door
what is the strategy for the old living room
i got to 4 am an even then freddy killed me even though i was hiding behind the couch, lol, i actually really like it IDK why Nikson got rid of it

@@Mr._Tru3 then why did he not just fix it and call it a day? i mean bugs can be fixed and i am saying that from experience since i know Unreal Engine myself
This was originally just a level made for an earlier demo and then put into this version. Maybe he wanted to create a better living room anyway
@@Mr._Tru3 yeah probably
so wait does it come with the phone call ?
Imagine what the game would look like in Unreal 5 like what we saw in that Matrix Tec Demo a while ago.
