  • HiDive just revamped their platform and I kinda felt like just going through it. Not sponsored by the way.

Looks better but they took away the feature that let you rate the whole show. Also, it does a have a terrible way of keeping track of what you watch.

Totally agree. The cosmetic uplift was really needed but it feels like it’s still lacking some features

My major problem with HIDIVE is the lack of keeping taps with what episodes and shows one has seen. A little bit clunky in the user front.

I was JUST thinking about that lol I skipped some weeks on I Parry Everything and couldn't remember the last episode I watched. It's just a series of "Coming Soon" banners, which was so misleading.
And then when you do click on an episode it takes you to a new page where you can select play instead of just taking you to the video player

Soooooooo I don't think Hidive is gonna be having their own award show or anything like Crunchy, but it's nice to see a website understands the needs of an anime fan and can operate as an alternative source to watch these shows.
    But what do you think?

This looks better than how it was before. Also, did they made changes for the apps as well or just the desktop?

HIDIVE has made this UI, and I hate everything about it. I typed like 3000 words into this comment box about how much I hate it, but no one wants to read that. I will try to summarize.
Why does everything flee from my mouse, pushed away by whatever show it happens to be hovering on?
why does it not remember what episode I last watched?
why does it not put my favorites and que at the top of the home page?
I don't care about dub releases but I cannot sort the schedule to remove dub episodes.
My continue watching page has decided to fill itself with every new and pending episode 1 of the only 2 good shows In this entire anime season.
WHAT I REALLY HATE IS THAT EVERY *SINGLE* SEASON THIS *_PLAGUE_* OF A "SERVICE" GETS 5$ OF MINE FOR SCROUNGING UP A SINGLE SHOW I DONT WANT TO MISS
I have finished my idiotic rant and will proceed to feel better about my day, thank you for suffering through it if you actually read it, and I hope you have a great day as well.

Haha All very fair points. I don't mind the uplift since it's a lot better than what I remember it being like, but after using it for much longer now I totally agree that it really needs some shifting around.
I get really about how scrolling through episodes works. You have to click on the arrow icon (which also happens to cover up the first and last episodes) and then instead of shifting one at a time to navigate the list, it shifts the entire row over which feels very inconvenient. Just have it in a list format so we can scroll the page, which we're already doing anyway. It'd be much easier and more organized.
And I'm totally with you that the front page should be catered to your interests with the updates for shows you actually want to watch
