- The ministry of Jesus was controversial for the religious leaders of the time. How was healing controversial? Fasting? How did Jesus view Sabbath observance differently? Why would the religious leaders try to restrict the ministry of Jesus?

A 24 hour fast is the sweetest thing I've experienced, even when those hours have passed I wasn't hungry, I was fasting for the power to speak health over myself who was sick and also others in the time of persecution, because I know now is the time to put all our trust in GOD and not doctors who I've gone to several times and no cure was happening and my SAVIOUR step in and make me whole in spirit and truth

We will live with Jesus for eternity and feed on His words for the rest of our lives. I love Hope Sabbath School program and I pray for the members to stay healthy to continue this wonderful program.

I love Hope Sabbath School. This week I was following the scripture song in my Bible and I noticed it includes verse 4 of Psalm 34.
I'm so much touched always whenever I roll in to study with the group. May God continue impacting His knowledge through you. Amen
The nearer we come to Jesus, the more we discover how dirty and unworthy we are. Surely that's what happened to the paralytic. As he went down before Jesus I can imagine the thought in his mind full of doubt "I'm not worth. I didn't think He will accept to heal me." Jesus seeing the heart says Your sins are forgiven. This brought hope in the paralytic and faith also.and his faith (a gift he received in that moment from Jesus) saved him. I believe all siners can go as they are and He is so compassionate that he helps us to believe in Him.
This story is so amazing. Jesus saying don't worry about your sins that they may make me not to receive you and do for you what you can't do for yourself. It's my first time to understand this story in this way. Thank you Hope Sabbath School

Isaiah speaks about a continual fast from sin. Sin separates us from God. If we want to get closer to God and hear from him, it would be best to considér this type of fast.

Could Jesus have been angry at their condition and responses (sin) and not at the people themselves? Hence, he would tie up the 'strong man' and spoil his house by freeing his prisoners.

We have a great lesson to learn from the book of Jude.
In Jude 9 a story in which the archangel Michael disputes with the devil about the body of Moses: But when the archangel Michael faced with the devil and disputed about the body of Moses, he did not dare to bring defamation of character against Satan, but said, 'The Lord rebuke you! '
Reason is Satan's dispute with God is all about God's plan to admit 144,000 first-fruits of redeemed men from Adam's family to God's throne room as the Christ's bride, which is the "Most Holy" in God's temple(Rev 3:21) where God's throne is.
Before Lucifer became God's adversary, he was the covering cherub of God's throne.
Lucifer disputed humans brought forth from mud in the earth are sinful beings unlike angels brought forth with spirit, therefore he claimed humans have no nobility to be sitting on God's throne with Christ.
Therefore he refused to continue in his role as covering cherub of God's throne because he was not willing to prostrate before the 144,000 "sons of God" when they occupy God's throne(Rev 3:21).
Lucifer at the time was 3rd in line of authority in God's family with God Almighty and His WORD and was the ruler over the Universe.
Lucifer was not willing to go down one rank below when the 144,000 redeemed sons of first-fruits as God's ruling family rule over the universe. Not only Lucifer refused to continue in his role, but had the support of 1/3 of God's angels on the same issue.
Both Lucifer and 1/3 of angels did not have problem with God's plan to admit redeemed men and women as "Levite" as a multitude in the "White Throne Judgement" to "holy" after Christ's Millennial rule.
The whole controversy was about Cherub Lucifer going down one rank below the 144000 redeemed men of first resurrection as kings, lords and priests with Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords and High Priest of God ruling over the universe from God's throne.
Jude tells us that Michael was sent by God to deal in some way with the body of Moses, which God Himself had buried after Moses’ death (Deuteronomy 34:5-6).
Jude verse 9 refers to this event which is found nowhere else in Scripture.
Michael had to struggle or dispute with Satan about the body of Moses, but what that entailed is not described.
Various theories have been put forth as to what this struggle over Moses’ body was about.
One is that Satan, ever the accuser of "our brethren" as John referring to the "first-fruits of men" in Revelation 12:10, may have resisted the raising of Moses to eternal life on the grounds of Moses’ sin at Meribah (Deuteronomy 32:51) and his murder of the Egyptian (Exodus 2:12).
Lucifer's fall was only on the issue of God's desire to admit "24 Elders +144000 "First-Fruits" from Adam's family to God's Throne Room(Rev 3:21).
The lesson for us today is that:
Satan is now confined to our earth.
He may be still disputing with God on the same issue about God is calling and electing His future ruling family of "sons of God" who will be the future Christ's bride to takeover the survivors of Adam's family from the last human war from "Great Tribulation".
In spite Satan's objection, God would still go ahead with His plan for Christ's bride.
Since Satan knows that he cannot stop God's plan, all he may be trying to do today as the "god of this age" is to wipeout Adam's flesh and blood in the last human war and end Adam's bloodline so that "WORD" became a human being in Adam's family become a wasteful exercise of God if human race is wiped out.
But Christ has promised in His word that it would not happen and God will intervene for the sake of preserving Adam's bloodline to which Christ Jesus and 144000 "sons of first resurrection" belong in Matthew 24:22 and Mark 13:20.
The lesson for the "false Christianity" of first seal in Rev 6:1-2 of Roman Catholicism, Protestantism that includes Adventism and all other Cult groups is to prevent God's judgment for them refusing to be part of God's "Little flock" who proclaim the message of God's kingdom where Christ leads today.
They are rebelling against God's authority during this age breaking the very law given to Moses by promoting women leaders and refusing to worship God's Seven Annual Holy Days and observing pagan holy days of Christmas and Easter introduced by Roman Catholicism.
When the time comes for "White Throne Judgment", Satan and his angels wouldn't be around and it will be God alone who will make His judgment on His "Levite" who will be admitted to His family to serve His Son, Christ and His bride of 144,000 God's ruling kings and priests occupying God's very throne.
If false Christendom continue in their rebellion with a counterfeit message of "salvation" in place of coming of God's kingdom(Luke 4:42-44) during this age, then, there is a good possibility that, they themselves will bring judgment on themselves and loose their chances of being admitted to the God's kingdom in the "White Throne Judgment" as 'Levite' to serve Christ and His Bride who occupy "New Jerusalem".
This is the time for their repentance because God will by all means avoid an another rebellion by the redeemed "Levite" from Adam's family to God's 144,000 redeemed sons of first-fruits who occupy God's throne to which Lucifer and 1/3 of angels objected.
Reason what made apostle John to write:
4 These(144000) are the ones who were not defiled with women(false Christendom), for they are virgins.
These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes(Christ's bride)
These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, being first-fruits to God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no falsehood, for they are without fault
(Revelation 14:4-5).
Today only a "Little flock"(Luke 12:32) preach the coming of God's kingdom to earth at Jesus' second coming(Rev 5:9-10) recognizing the duality nature of blessings that God promised to Abraham that was given to Joseph, the great grand son of Abraham with the "Blessings of the Race" or the "Blessings of the first-born" with unprecedented wealth of this earth and the "Blessings of the grace" or the "Blessings of the Scepter or rulership with their Messiah" to Judah, the great grand son of Abraham as depicted in 1 Chronicles 5:1-2.
The false Christendom continue to gallop on the "White Apocalyptic Horse" of Rev 6:1-2 with a counterfeit message of salvation to the whole world in spite Jesus had clearly stated referring to the blessings that was bestowed on Judah in Genesis 49:10 by saying to the Samaritan woman,
"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews"(John 4:22) that "salvation" as a whole as "Levite" will be made to the world ONLY after Christ establishes His Millennial rule on earth.

Mixed reaction was also because of different interests for example the pharisees were feeling threatened by Jesus' gospel popularity and the the truth He offered as compared to the Jewish burdensome teachings.
An Important Announcement:
(1) I have no power to stop the "White Apocalyptic Horse" released by Christ since the end of the first century by removing the first seal(Rev 6:1-2; Mat 24:3-5) from Rev 5:1 scroll because God has spoken.
(2) I have also been brought to an immediate attention to the following warning words of Christ's to the Canaanite woman:
“It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
(Matthew 15:26)
(3) "As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly"(Prov 26:11)
That's exactly what it is when the demon possessed shouted "We know who you are the Holy One of God" that is because they want to distract the people from the truth they don't want to hear the truth it will ruin the illusion they had been building on people's hearts and minds. So they had to keep yelling or shouting while Jesus was doing His work or speaking about the Kingdom of God. They want the attention to themselves.

Thanks, really. How does fasting relate to Sabbath? They kind of have some similarities between them.
Fasting is not primarily about what we gain from it or its intrinsic value; it's about recognizing and focusing on who God is. By fasting, we create space for God to be the center of our lives, shifting our attention from our own needs to Him. During this time, we aim to focus solely on God, removing distractions and depending on Him for our needs and efforts. Fasting helps us recognize that our physical needs, like food, are merely shadows of a greater reality. True sustenance comes from God and His word, which is unceasing and eternal. By fasting, we shift our focus from temporary, material needs to the eternal reality of who God is. This practice allows us to depend on God for our needs and efforts, emphasizing His continuous provision and making His presence more visible in our lives.
Of course the demons recognise him. They lived in heaven with him, he is their creator.

What it means,is that the Sabbath was specifically made for mankind to Rest from all work and labour.
Let's give an example, what are our eyes made for? It's for us to see yes. The eyes are made specifically for seeing.
Likewise the Ears are made specifically for hearing and only for hearing.
The word Sabbath means REST. Therefore the 7th day Sabbath is specifically created for mankind to Rest. Amen.

@user-wo9vl2zq9z Read luke chapter 4 verse 16..It says, and he Jesus came to nazareth, where he was brought up;and he went to the synagogue (synagogue means church)as was his CUSTOM WAS, on the SABBATH DAY. It's holy day given by God the creator for us to worship together.
Hebrews chapter 10 verse 26 tells us: not to neglect the coming together, or not to forget the assembling together on the Sabbath.
It's a day where we focus on God. And not the world. Amen.

The Teachers of the Law wanted to find out whether Jesus is one of them😊 trying to measure/weigh⚖️ His speech, conduct and faith (sound doctrine) and Jesus was taking them further to deep waters. It seems the trap setters are an archetype of the Bereans. Both, are all information seekers with unique information needs and Jesus is the Information Inquiry Librarian, Jesus is the Answer to every question & doubt, He improved and perfects what we know, adds to what know and He helps us to find more information by making references. Lazy bones go to the ants, Jesus told Satan: "It is written" three times😊 in the desert. Jesus is a Reference Librarian too. Did Jesus mind how information seekers approached Him? Did Jesus mention anywhere that the trap masters are here again? He is a good teacher, a kind Library and a compassionate Librarian, who offers information liberally. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally" Jesus loves to teach us His Way and the Truth. He left to us the Holy Spirit to teach us, convict us, correct us, train us, rebuke and equip us 😊 for ministry. Jesus loved to engage with the trap masters, He started at 12 years of age. Paul did not find it easy with the elites but it is about the tares growing with the wheat. Jesus engaged with all kinds of weeds not with violence and not with lying lips (Isaiah 53:9) Jesus came to show us the way, we have to prove to the world that Jesus came from Heaven and is one with the Father as we also engage with each other (tares and wheat) Let us remember to publish the good news of salvation and that our God reigns and that Jesus lives.
Job had many questions to ask God, David, the trap masters, Hannah, Nehemiah cried out to God/Jesus (Holy One) and Jesus has gentle answers to us as long as we call on Him and show to Him our hunger (fake or real) He will trouble the water🧠once we come into His presence, He already knows our heart conditions😊and He is willing to help us
