- In Airbus’s early days, they released their very first aircraft, the Airbus A300. It was a go or no go project, being an aircraft with technology the world had yet to see. Many were skeptical or the new European company, Airbus, nearly leading them into an unfortunate downfall. How did Airbus prevail? My apologies for the spelling errors at 2:26 and 3:47
It's alr
How dare you make a mistake
All good bro! I do not care about spelling errors your videos are crazy good!
aidbus 🚑☠💀
It is ok lol
I do that for my channel Airlineaviation
Could you imagine how much longer the 747 and quadjets in general would last had airbus not have been created
trijets too
I wish this was true.
well, Boeing soon responded with the 767, so I guess that just fueled a tit-for-tat response (which is always good in a free market).
A300 collapsing
Airbus: WE SEND EM A FREE AIRCRAFT
CS series collapsing
Bombardier: SELL IT!
Boeing: *schemes to forbid both planes sell in the US*
From being a small company to passing Boeing because of the whole MCAS situation. Heck, the world's biggest aircraft order was for Airbus planes! (IndiGo ordered 500 A320neo family planes)
Quite an impressive feat for an aerospace company that has only been around for about 50 years
@@ice711realand quite a big order for a low-cost airline xD
Meanwhile,Boeing fans are waited a quadrillion centuries for 777x and 797
@@MRT1XV1C yeah but not likely 797
I still like both airbus and boeing
Wow airbus has gone through a lot and come so far in not that long, great company
Shows to never stop coming up with good ideas even when times are tough I guess 😂
4:08 this music SLAPS
I, personally, am very excited to see which direction the aviation industry and your channel goes next! :D
Ice, keep up the awesome work! This video is edited so much and it looks like it took really long to make! I will continue watching your videos because they are awesome!
Thank you, it indeed took 5-6 hours like most vids, so I appreciate it!
I sent you an email showing my plane drawling and my model airport!@@ice711real
It’s great to see you’ve gone from small channel to nearly 100k in such a short amount of time, it’s takes many people a couple of years to do it! It’s nice to see this
Thanks so much for the support, it indeed has been crazy growth!
The A300 is truly a pioneering aircraft and the first of it's kind!
I didn't know airbus went through a situation like this.
You learn something new evry day!
Glad I could inform you on the lesser known story :)
0 A300's
another amazing video by ice711. as always the vid was very informative. I would love to see a video on the Boeing 767 (Boeings first twinjet widebody).
Thanks!! I was gonna mention the 767 in this video, maybe in the future I’ll do a more in depth comparison to the 767 and the A300
We makin’ it outta the Airbus factory with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯
One of my favorite RUclipsrs, nice vid as always
Thanks mate :)
I always thought airbus was really powerful from when it was founded, but this has changed my perspective
Always glad to inform people of true stories!
1 like, 1 reply? Let me fix that.
We all know its a good day when Ice uploads. Im looking forward to the next airplane drawing review!
I love your content! Keep up the good work!
Thanks ✌️
ayy these videos are back!! bruh I just watched this video and it was so good especially all the "mini stuff"
That is so incredible story! A300 was nearly a failure for Airbus and despite the fact they were built in 1970's it stayed in production line till 2006!!(but that is nothing in front of 747💀💀)
Great video as always
Airbus just went from 0 to hero! Wow. Also great video ice!
Thanks for the vid! Also, what day are you going to do the Christmas-themed aviation art rating video? Before Christmas or a bit after?
Likely a few days before Christmas, but possibly a few days after if the editing takes a while
0:26 That DC-9 pulled a Ryanair so hard it managed to disconnect the tail from the aircraft. Either way, nice video on the history of Airbus.
lol
and the front landing gear lmfao

What's the music btw??

Haha I wanna move from the states to Iceland, thanks!
It’s always a good day when Ice uploads 😃
Hello ice nice to see you again
Hello there
That's some quality info... especially on the Airbus. Never knew about it's near bankruptcy. It has some interesting story!
From the rough start to one of the greatest airplanes of modern era, there journey is truly revolutionary.
I have been waiting for this moment.
2:27 “It would proove difficult” had me dying 🤣
I literally acknowledged that spelling error, but somehow forgot to change it, my apologies 😂
@@ice711real There’s also a part where it says aidbus instead of airbus after that. Love your vids man ❤️
4:40 i think that Gaiety in the Golden Age is the perfect song for your videos. it really fits the rest of the theme of the channel
Interesting thought lol
Honestly listening to that song is relaxing in the morning

Good vid keep up good work
To be accurate, Korean Air played key role in A300 and Airbus' success. They were the first non-European A300 customer. This affected Airbus sales strategy which lead them to focus on Asia-Pacific market - and many Asian carriers introduced A300s and A330s later on
Ice you are the teacher i always dreamed about
I'm happy that they made the A300, it's such a beautiful and elegant plane and an A300 of DHL is based at my local airport too so I get to see this beauty everyday

0:26 Lol thank you for making me laugh Ice711
You should do a video on the a310 🙂
This is truly an ice711 moment
0:26 Average Ryanair Landing :
Can you make a video about flying-wing concept aircraft next? Like the KLM flying V concept.
Perfect balance between comedy and informatively (idk if that's a word ngl) Anyway I loved it
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I love this channel
Glad to hear it :D
Yo ice you should make a video about the twin engine Boeing 747 that might be made
0:27 smoothest ryanair landing 🥶🥵🔥🗿😳❗️💯

Thanks for the such interestin video
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed!
Fun fact: The first ever airbus flight was on my birthday
Question: what editing software do you use?
Btw my chair is orange (bit off topic)
I use inshot

We making it out of Toulouse with this plane!🔥🔥🔥
This man is soo underrated
I never knew that as an avnoob, great vid btw
Always glad to inform 🗣️
My favourite classic Airbus airliner. Loved to fly home on those A300s. Miss the old days
3:00 this conversation got me😂💀👍
Lol
Now we're just waiting for an A390
What kind of software do you use to make these kinds of videos?
inshot
@@ice711real thanks again
Was the music on the Iran air A300 not Iranian music but from different country in the Middle East?
4:15
Correction: Iran Air actually ordered A LOT. of Airbuses and one of them are a350 1000s, a330s, a321 and a320s, etc. And the reason why is that theyre stuck with the a300s because they rejected the huge order Iran Air made from 2016, which I still do not know why.
fun fact: i learned about the a300 when i was watching a theflightchannel video... (a crash ofc lol)
0:48 it was actually at first Charles De Gaulle.
03:46 BRUUUUUUUH This AIDbus got me crying ngl
I believe they were going to get the "bus" outta there!

That's one of the most epic villain origin stories i've ever heard 😂
Fun fact: the early A300 and A310 models from the '70s and '80s uses a YOKE, not a SIDE STICK.

Airbus: let's make the planes more fun, by putting JOYSTICKS in them!
Manufacturer: OK...
Thats crazy, a small plane company that turned into one of the worlds biggest aircraft companies
I like this video this was pretty decent and I liked it very much that I liked it😊
Thanks!
ICE I love your vids! (As an Alaskan, I’d love to give you some ice from a glacier and some snow fresh from Denali!🧊❄️)
Greetings from the Midwest, lower 48!
That ending was I think the biggest plot twist ever for airbus
I think I like Airbus a little more than Boeing, their a330 and a380 are my favorite and they are amazing, though I’ve never been on either 😅
3:50 aidbus 💀
3:47 Aid bus hands up if u saw it the subtitle said Aidbus 💀
This is basicly the story of how the Great War of Boeing vs airbus started
nice vid
3:47 i love airliner company name "Aidbus"
Quite impressive though, and also why is it longer than the a220???
Btw 11/11 story.
I remembered that Boeing CEO of that time back then kinda mocking the A300 just another failing government project. And that statement he made aged poorly since Eastern Airlines started using them. I watched Mustard's video about this.
4:15 Correction. They can afford new planes they are just heavily sanctioned such that they can't order any new planes so inorder to make money they must make the most of what they have by cannibalism of other aircraft to keep some in service. There was a point they ordered many a330s and couldn't get delivery of them before they sanctioned again so Airbus was forced to cancel them. That's why all Iranian carriers fly dinosaurs even though maintenance ain't cheap
Even the military in the country operates a F-14 when every single F-14 is retired
It is an incredible aircraft and company
imagine if eastern didn't take the offer
😳
They would probably get a dunce hat put on them
the day Boeing nearly won 😭😭
You gotta tell me where you’re getting that banjo music from dude
😂
@@ice711realcould ya tell me where ya got it? I wanna play it while I fly in my attack heli
@@ice711realhello?
I enjoyed an A319 flight from Fort Lauderdale to Regan National. Thanks to the crew with American Airlines!
Im glad Airbus survived. Boeing needs proper competition (seriously, that's what keeps massive corporations innovating, and also drives their prices down by stopping them having a monopoly. No matter what side of the airliner competition you prefer, both companies benefit from the others existence even if they don't want to admit it) And while i will always be a Boeing fan, a sky full of em would just be boring. Plus Airbus tickles my tech fancy.
Very well said.
0:27 that looks awfully familiar to a certain crash!
Hmm, can you try to review old airline commercial from the 70-90's? Seems interesting considering commercial is kinda boring now lol
Ice the discord server link is not working
Not sure why it would do that, but that’s not the first time I’ve heard of that. Try just searching up on google “ice711 discord server”
Hi Ice711
I triple dog dare you to do a video on a bedroom tour
The first airline to buy the very first Airbus plane was Eastern Airlines? Gotta remember that for the quiz
A300 one of my favorite airbus planes for style
We dont talk about the cockpit of both a300 and a310
Even though Boeing aircraft’s look slick, gotta say that airbus takes the cake in comfortability. I once had a domestic flight and it was the most spacious and the most comfortable ride I ever had in a plane, but the 777-300ER is a tad bit better of course.
I didn't really knew A300 did exist until around few months ago
Intresting
Ryanair be like 0:26
tbh, without the A300, we'll still living with the MD-11 or the DC-10, or maybe 707 or 747
