    The female Snowy Owl returns to the nest. A pair of Long-tailed Jaegers are chasing and attacking her. The owl staunchly fights off numerous attacks of Jaeger. Lon-tailed Jaegers breeds close to owls. They also had chicks. They were unhappy that the Snowy owl flew through their territory

    Snowy owls are such great parents. Not having trees or anything to shelter them means the mother can never let down her guard. ❤😊

    I love their fluffy talons. I didn't know they could make sounds so similar to red-shouldered hawks 😕

    If she didn’t have to stand her ground to protect her chics, both long tail Jaegers are no match again her sharp long talons

      Thanks for the question! Snowy owls nest on the ground. At the age of 3 weeks, owls can leave the nest for the nearby territory. They need about two months to fledge
