But still, he could not cover the truth... Even though he loves Dong Yi, this is definitely not right. It could bring upon corruption if a criminal by governmental standards is forgiven solely because the king loved her... I really like Dong Yi, but I think she was right in that the king should not lie to his people.

Its a beautiful drama showing the lives of royals in the Joseon Era and those who comes from low clsss family but despite that they strived to have a better life for the good of their country just like DONG YI and the King just looks good together because they have the same sentiments for making their country better and the King is just and a good ruler of his people...
Me as well, I watched it at hundred times,same with Jumong,Great Queen Seondok,Gyebaek,also the reigns of Dong Yi's child and great grandchild (just forget the title), Jang Yungsil,and many more...

The king in real nhistory was quite a strategic man. He was smart enough to have the political forces under his rule because he made rotation in power.
Now I know the true meaning of LOVE IS BLIND. All wrong must have a reason to be right and all errors seems perfect. Wish I could have this movie compiled in one disc.
Makes a person angry when being honest for crimes your father committed in the past, but it makes a person mentally insane when that honesty drives a person to take responsibilty for something she never committed and she ignores the advice from the king who is helping her to see sense.
사극에 조연 배경으로 등장하는 궁녀는 그냥 보고 지날칠수도 있지만 알고보면 사극의 스케일을 좌우하는 신스틸러들인데 이병훈의 사극은 허준이랑 대장금 빼고는 궁녀들의 사회의 모습과 패러다임을 섬세하고 고풍스럽게 그려내지못했음. 어떤 측면에서는 묘사 자체도 잘못되있음. 여기 등장하는 상궁 나인들 모두 그냥 한복입고 궁녀놀이 하는 느낌.

wow even i felt a little sorry for heebin in this episode she finally realize the king never loved her, he only lusted after her and used her to enforce his political power by using her supporters. at least the queen has the king's trust, sympathy and even respect, but for heebin the king could care less, he never try to understand her when she was framed by her own people or when she expected him to trust her and believe in her.
