@C.e. W Hello. I am having a barium on Tuesday. An endoscopy on June 5'th. I'm on 80mg omoprezole daily. My fundiplication slipped after only 2.5 years. I have a 3cm hernia now. I feel fine on the meds. I was told I was close to Baretts Esophagus. I'm very hopeful though. Thank you for asking. How are you doing yourself?
be careful with this procedure bc there are some most recent lawsuits on this device . It was offered to me bc i have a large 3 cm hietal hernia and its a type 2 or 3 . im going with nissen fundoplication bc it has the highest success rate and longest lasting . I hope all goes well with your device though and hope you make a speedy recovery for sure .
Thanks for your input. I'm fully recovered. Everyone has to make the right decision for their own bodies. I liked that this procedure was easily reversible if there was an issue.

Thanks for the video. Im going in on the 14th of December to get a hiatal hernia repaire and the linx procedure done . Any advice. And how do you feel about now that some time has passed? Thank you.
I’m really in a bad way. I can’t take PPIs due to allergic reactions. I have a small sliding hiatus hernia 1cm. I’m a flight attendant so nervous about the linx on the plane. Are you able to eat normally? Are you back to normal. How long before you could go back to work the gym etc.
My hernia pain is gone. No PPIs. I eat absolutely normally (including the weird first class pasta and/or rolls that get served lol) - no problems at all. I took 8 weeks for recovery but probably didn't need that long.
Nick D I had the procedure in June 2018. I was 18 at the time. I’ll say the gas pain is definitely the worst and the pain meds didn’t do a whole lot to help. But yes heat pads do help a lot. As for eating, I lost a decent amount of weight but gained it back after a couple of months. But I will say that my eating still isn’t normal. Food still gets stuck if I eat too fast and I think I will deal with that the rest of my life. But it is well worth it for COMPLETELY stopping my unnecessary heart burn.
Hey, can I ask before you had the surgery. did your hernia give you pain below the sternum? and did it also give you discomfort in the esophagus and chest area?
