It's been a while! It feels great to upload another official cover after so long, and this time we're going back to our J-Pop roots again to play what can be considered a standard in the world of J-Pop - Marunouchi Sadistic! Older fans of J-Pop, or fans of Ringo in general, will undoubtedly recognize this song as one of the songs that put the legendary queen of J-Pop on the map, and after many years, we've finally gotten to record it. Juna Serita is also an amazing bassist that's been making waves in the funk scene in Japan and around the world, and this song was actually her suggestion, so we knew she'd kill it!

I was just recently introduced Ringo Sheena via a random Spotify recommendation, and I am FLORED! A vocalist on par with any of the great rock singers, and a songwriter of legendary proportions!
Most versatile female composer of all time. Nobody covers so much ground, certainly not while being a legit mainstream megastar and at one-time pop idol with multi-million-selling records in their catalogue. Mad.
Oh yeah! Marunouchi Sadistic isn't only my fav Shiina Ringo song but one my favorite song of all time, amazing cover!
How does Pat make his sax sound like a super smooth voice with an occasional seductive raspy catch? Bass groove is great too. Very cool combo! 🎶💖

So smooth~ That slightly sarcastic but sweet jazzy feeling is so prevalent in so much of Shiina's repertoire, solo or otherwise, so this is a perfect fit. 🖤
Also I actually never knew this was originally by Shiina Ringo, I'm more familiar with the UNCHAIN cover of it.
