I catch your point, but Francis is a freak of nature. He is skilled, granted, but he wouldn't have come this far - especially starting out so late - if it wasn't for his stature of a greek god.

You need a combination of lots of things, If Francis was 5'6 instead of 6'4, no one would really care about him, Francis has had a difficult past but has immense strength and power, both things he was gifted and developed through a rough childhood. Cirly gane is the adesanya in heavyweight, the most technical hw fighter but francis is not lewis so you have to be extra careful with defense

Ngannou's boxing has really improved. He's really looking good with those offensive takedowns. That cardio though 🤦🏽♂️ the way he keeps gasping for air after the ground work 🤦🏽♂️. Also, head movements evading jabs is still my concern especially for Ciryl Gane really good with his footwork and striking. I'm rooting for Ngannou to stop the hype of Gane in UFC 271 though

Man, we know you're a fighting phenom, but I'll say this- I'm much impressed by how your English has been constantly improving over the years. Some other guys should take notes, definitely helps on the mic and outside the cage.

Confidence and expérience make everything...hé was really Shy before and not confortable that was New for him...in Cameroun they speak french and english and for sure he knew some words in english from kid.. so no this is nothing spécial he live in USA take some english lesson why he will not improving?
shouldve sparred with a tallor or lighter guy just my opinion those guys dont move or imitate cyril much at all but still rooting and predicting francis to win.
I was thinking the same thing. These guys are way too stationary from the short clips ive seen here. Francis definitely needs to be training with guys who are light on their feet and hard to hit. Israel Adesanya comes to mind

@@mikehunt7586 Stipe been fighting his whole life, ngannou has achieved what he has in less than 8 years big difference. He has achieved something that no one, even stipe hasn't achieved.
Which is going pro in his late 20s, cleaning out his whole division and becoming champion in less than 10 years with a total fight time of less than 10 mins, who else as a fighter in any sport can say they have done that? I bet you can't find me a one person that has matched that sort of achievement.
Stipe is a goat don't get me wrong but it would be straight jealous hate to not admit that what Francis has done is nothing sort of legendary in itself.
@@tn5630 With his power? Wouldn't say that, he has the basics down (alot better than wilder in that aspect) but also carries similar power to wilder. The only thing that will let ngannou down is his stamina, I also feel he is too stiff in movement, so yh he will probably not beat any boxing guys (not that, that matters as he has achieved so much in his main sport of MMA), but he could give them all sorts of issues if he clips any of them. Especially if he can work on the things I meantioned to a decent level.
Jones is out of his prime now I doubt he ever plans on coming back, just trolling at this point 😂. Ngannou will leave the UFC regardless of weather he wins or loses to gane.

Basically i still think it takes one shot but gane is too much of a better fighter all around really has many backgrounds and see it as amanda nunes vs pena she beat amanda with a good jab and making her work and she got tired and submitted gane is a materclasss at keeping the fight at his pace which is a high high pace all 25 minutes while carrying a insane defense he hasnt even been hit cleanly often

My thoughts too. Maybe there are training partners we've not seen but what we see here are not the size and movements of Cyril.

At first he push you to hit hard and empty your tank . He's very good at foot movement and running back.
Once he see your energy is decreasing than he beat you. ..
Francis has improved on his timing as well. He doesn't swing recklessly.
But it's gonna be a great fight. What Francis needs to do is cut down the ring and pounce on him.

Salut Francis. Je suis un de tes supporters invétérés qui a mobilisé au Canada lors de ton fight vs stipe 1 une centaine de personne n’ayant pas encore de fibre avec le MMA. Juste un conseil ce fight ne se jouera seulement dans l'octogone mais surtout dans les pressconference et surtout lors de la pesée. Alors être focus exclusivement sur l'essentiel ne pas se laisser de concentrer et éviter les échanges et faire la sourde oreille à tout ce que Fernand pourra dire. Oublier qu'il existe ne pas le suivre ni écouter ses interviews si possible avoir une muraille de fer pour ne même pas le croiser du regard. se concentrer exclusivement sur le goal Ciryl sans lui faire du rentre dedans et sans être expressif les laisser chercher ce qu'il aimerait savoir.

This thing with fighter pay... Francis has been taken advantage of before - having to work in a damn sand mine at 4 years of age, and then to only get paid a pittance to go back home to poverty. A lot of people in the first world (myself included for a long time) forget that a childhood is a privilege not many are afforded. Only Francis knows what other terrible situations he's been in but it was his perseverance, determination and discipline - combined with a little luck (I only say that because many try for a better life, very few succeed unfortunately; they did not fail from lack of trying. I'm sure many a man more determined than Francis has died in his pursuit for a better life) that allowed him to become one of the most accomplished humans on the planet given what he has overcome and managed to achieve. So when he speaks - listen. He is a man that knows his worth and won't accept any less; not any more. This outspoken drive and will to better himself and his and his family's lives is what took a him from the sand mines of Cameroon to being the heavyweight champion of the world - Godspeed Francis Ngannou, you are beyond an inspiration and you have so many more incredible achievements coming your way!

In general, I am pretty open to spar or try to spar absolutely anyone, but there's some, some which in my current condition I cannot dare to contemplate even trying to spar and on that list is Francis.
I mean even jokingly, quarter-assed strike from him would go through me like butter. The man's a machine!

If you train hard, and focus on doing things which are hard, then the easy things will take care of themselves and things will be a lot easier because all the hard work has been completed ✅
These videos you've been putting out are great. The sparring partners don't seem to be too similar to Gane, but getting the rounds in is good nonetheless (depending on who you are @Max Holloway, lol).
Finding heavyweights that can mimic any high level UFC heavyweight is going to be hard. Guys like Francis, Gane, Stipe, and Blaydes are all great because they possess abilities and statures that nobody else in the division has. No MMA heavyweights besides each other can come close to the speed and power of Ngannou, the movements of Gane, the well roundedness of Stipe, or the wrestling of Blaydes.

I would like to see him bring in Alistar Overreem and Tyrone Sprong for sparring purposes
@@donnyj5805 Tom Aspinall would have made a perfect sparring partner for this fight. Stylistically very similar to Gane. Fast hands, quick feet and can fight out of both stances seamlessly.
@@jimjones8808 He would have been the best one on the roster, but even he isn’t Cyril Gane. Cyril is longer, more straight up Muay Thai, and has been primarily fighting southpaw recently with a kick heavy game. And something tells me he doesn’t want to give Ngannou any ideas since they could very well be matched up soon.

I wish I just saw more bounce in his step, more on his toes. More drills of him cutting off the octagon. Gaine will stay on the outside and use footwork. Francis needs to cut him off and use combinations. Work the body and the hands will drop.

@@isisdaddy1 so many people drill the pads stationary. People have to drill with the footwork. Enter the pocket and exit the pocket strategy or else you will be there to just get hit after you strike. It forms bad habits in my opinion.
