Thanks so much. Never heard the explanation about the pick tool AND the fact that ALL FOUR connectors can't be disengaged simultaneously! My first Knipex purchase arrived just before Father's Day. I'm very happy with these Twin Grips! Thanks for promoting them over the years. You inspired me to buy them.
I like to loop a couple zip ties together to make a big circle and hook it under the connector of the coil as far back and close to the coil body as possible, then I can apply steady upward force as I work the back part up with my fingers. Works every time with zero drama.
nice straightforward video. I always use a small prybar as well. But, I also add a small dap of dielectric grease to the coil prior to installation. These 2.0L TSI engines are some of the easiest for sparkplug changes.
I’m going to replace the plastic cover to the hardness when I rebuild my engine; hopefully this summer. And also put in new coils; I got some cheap ones in there from autozone.
If all my clips are broken can that cause a multiple misfire p0300. I’ve changed coils plug’s injectors chasing this misfire. I have a lot of carbon buildup wondering if that could be it too.
I followed this video as well as looked into 25 others and forums as well. The connector cracked where I tried to pry with the pick and still won’t disengage from the coil pack.
Anyone know what the plug gaps are for 2.0t fsi? I’m getting ready to change them in mine and I know they’re pre-gapped from the factory but I’d like to check them for peace of mind
Do you have any tips what way to get a clip on a rattling waste gate arm on my A5? It's between the turbo and the engine block, so I can't reach in between .... maybe from the bottom, the next time I got it in my friend's shop. Replace the coils, ignition cable holder and connectors since they were too brittle to my taste.

Genius initiative. I'll give this a shot.
Big big thank you! This video saved me in a village far from any cities. Car was frozen and only replacing hot coils helped me to start the engine

Here's a fun tip. Should the boot tear, you have to buy a coil to get the boot.
I highly recommend magnetic spark plug sockets helps a lot if you have oily plugs
Cool change with the background music. I’d love to see you change auto transmission fluid on a B8 A4
2 of 4 good enough for government work. 🤣😂🤣😂
Very nice idea to unclip the connector.. I tried.. And succeed in a minute or two✌ kudo my dear 💕
Gotta have a good set of picks working on these

What are the torque specs for plugs? 21 ft/lbs?
yes, between 18 and 22 ft-lbs
And I just did my GTI's Valve Cover Gasket, Spark Plugs, and Ignition Coils. Legit Info on that site!
I used a hard wire 0.5 mm instead
Hi, when it's necessary to change the ignition coil?
Every 100k miles or less only original equipment or equivalent
