Any group that places its cultural norms and practices as superior to the laws of the country in which they live is dangerous. This is obvious. America has problems right now with groups that have misinterpreted various religious writings (no names, but say child brides as an example). Enforcing the law is not as problematic as ensuring the law is being observed without the violation of civil liberties. So then how does America do it? Depends, it used to be not only the person who wanted to have a child bride, but also the people facilitating such an arrangement were punished to the extreme extent of the law. This is a good demonstration of what is going wrong with the mainstream media. It made me feel frustrated listening to the questions that were trying to lead you into a more confrontational outcome. Unbelievable.
Yes, George Orwell experienced the Spanish civil war firsthand and how the various factions were lying, demanding others conform, and then creating fictions when they didn’t. He fled the communists, who had gone from being allies to being the oppressors, and then he watched the media collude with them in creating a narrative about how anyone who left their folds was a fascist. He, a fellow socialist, got labeled a fascist and was to be hunted down like his fellow comrades who were shot in front of him. He saw and experienced the reality firsthand, and how the media lied. To this day pro society communist people still lie and call him fascist for experiencing reality and writing about it. These current day journalists are doing the exact same thing. Evil.
..well he didnt in 1984. There were no "journalists" in 1984. Not even in spirit is this the same or even remotely the same. I will always pick the world where questions can be asked (be they misleading, stupid, disagreeable, attempting to frame a perspective etc..) this grinds my gears but most people, i think, miss the broader point of 1984, certainly the ministry of truth in this context.
I’m not familiar with hitchens and I’m a big Peterson fan but when it comes to calling bullshit I vote for Kisil. However since im typing I was disappointed with the interview with Basam Yousef who is also incredible and would like to see a second round of that much like Piers Morgan did.

Democracy is a fragile thing and especially so in Russia. Following the Russian Revolution democracy emerged from centuries of absolute monarchy for barely a few months before it was brutally snuffed out by a small clique of fanatical thugs. Once the thugs had seized the levers of power democracy died. Political violence usually leads to a worse tyranny than what is claimed it will replace.

Respect to Mr Kisin, a Saint of Patience. Thank you sir for confronting these so-called journalists and exposing their complete lack of intellectual honesty and integrity.
Incorrect. The initial leaders of the Republican side were in power when Franco and co attempted a military coup. The Republican side were considered the defacto government by the UK, USA etc.
Not only the Spanish Civil War. In India they had a war between hindus and muslims(well, gangs killing people en mass). Is the war of arabs against israelis in Israel against the government or between ethnic groups? Civil war is any large armed conflict in a country. The journalist knows the definition. He just tried to make Konstantin somehow say something against a group or show some form of being on a side. Just targeting him to arrest him or cancel him. He was brilliant and as expected won the game.
I agree that the journalist's thesis that every civil war by its nature involves a legitimate government is completely untrue, and there are plenty of historical cases to support this. But I disagree that the Spanish Civil War is a good example here, the republican government maintained institutional continuity with the government elected in 1936. A great example here would be the Russian civil war, although of course the royalist forces considered themselves the successors of the old regime, they had no formal basis for this. Of the more recent conflicts, I think the final phase of the Colombian civil war, AUC vs FARC is also a good example.
His entire line of questioning was very formulaic and preposterously obvious. I was so pleased when you directly called him out near the end of the call. Great call.
Mr. Kisin--you handled this masterfully. This person was fishing for a "gotcha" moment and was trying (ineptly) to get you to say things that he can then use to label you as far right. It's so transparent.
@danvain "That journalist" is trying to get Konstantin to give him a plausible scoop; he has yet to learn how to research. That type used to be called 'cub reporters'.
Used to be, countries like yours would lose their best and brightest to migration - we call that phenomenon "brain drain." But the last decade, it's just been "drain." Anyone who can make it to the Mediterranean and on a boat is doing so.
@peterbassey9668 I'm Indian, and I'm against migration into the West from the Indian subcontinent. It has to stop, and even be reversed. Wise words! Thank you for expressing this. I share the same sentiment.
I am quite sure that the weather in Nigeria is better than in Europe. On a more serious note, what I find reprehensible about people saying we should do immigration if it benefits the host country, is that they totally forget that that implies a huge brain drain and keeps impoverishing other countries. That said, from what I know, Nigeria seems to be on a good overall trajectory. Hope you lot can keep it up!
Migration will stop when the west and israel stops bombing middle east and Africa to make sure they stay under the west colonization so they can continue to steal resources and land from the middle east and Africa now when all that stops people won't need a reason to leave and start over after losing everything to western backed terrorist or false flag wars in order to steal the resources of the country so they remain poor and under the west control.
Well, with 2,500 comments I doubt you'll read this, However, Konstantin, as a philosophy graduate I found that a joy to listen to. Quality, logical, responses to some very obvious and shallow baiting. Even if we assume that it wasn't 'shallow baiting' what does that tell us about the standard of NBC journalism? That's the kind of rubbish I'd expect from a school debate.
Thank you for posting this. I am an attorney, and it is frustrating that people do not answer the question asked. I note you pause and ask the questioner to clarify what they are asking, instead of attempting to answer a vague inquiry.
These people are being taught in college, in journalism classes, to "creat the story you want to write". They are literally taught to be the producers of narratives rather than to report the facts.
Good thing that Constantin holds a copy of this interview, as proof of what was asked and said. Most people would not have the foresight to cover themselves from being misinterpreted or deliberately misquoted.❤
Brilliantly handled that conversation! The fact that some supposedly serious journalists would entertain the idea that Elon wants civil war in Europe is absurd.
That journalist was so weirdly ill informed and robotic. Like someone had given him a bunch of questions that he has no context for and was floundering. So weird.

When he "tried" to give a discription of what a civil war was and failed, you know he's trying to push a particular ideology, good on you Konstantin for calling him out on it!.
There is no one way what civil war is and what it looks like, that is usually defined afterwards. E.g. When WW started it was not called as World War until later. Civil was in general is violence between two or more factions within same nation. What those factions might be can be almost anything. In theory government might not be even involved but usually it picks side.
A long time ago, NBC interviewed my father after he retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. The slant of the interview was that it was unfair that anybody should be able to retire and receive a pension after only 20 years. My father calmly replied 'if it's such a great deal, why aren't more people doing it?' Not surprisingly, this segment was never aired on NBC's broadcast.
I had the opportunity to see a "live CNN panel" in action once. It was a lively and apparently heated discussion on some "outrage of the week." As soon as they went to commercial, the conversation stopped completely. The apparently outraged panelists just turned off and looked at their notes. That was the moment where I really understood that this was all just professional wrestling. Cable news is cancer.
That doesn't necessarily mean it's fake discourse. People watching it probably don't want to come back from commercial and have no clue what anybody is talking about because they missed a few minutes of the conservation. CNN is still fake and dishonest though 😅
They have to fill the void of the 24 rolling cycle. Why? No-one knows. I never engage with their content, don’t know anyone else who does. Except, “follow the money” is generally a rule of thumb. Many broadcasters with clown mouth-pieces on the payroll need to justify their highly-salaried, professional bloviators. There’s a reason it’s called a media circus.
Paid actors. Reading from a script. It’s no different than a Hollywood movie script where the actual reality is not really relevant. Sometimes it ‘may be based on a true story’ but that’s about as close to the truth as it’s gonna get!
Listening to this interview was worst than someone trying to sell me a time share🤦🏾♂️ It’s almost as if they are incapable of true journalism anymore.
The long meandering, drawn out struggling efforts by the short attention spanned, "looking forward to the weekend", journo is as irritating as explanations to a toddler's questions (that activist reporter is incapable of rising above,as being prepared for an interview, w/ready questions). The hairsplitting over the "Civil War" definitions was like sleeping thru my H.S. history class w/the clueless that couldn't pay attention while awake, only with sounds of exasperation escaping from instructor missing
It’s because very few smart people go into journalism anymore. The smart people who do steer clear of mainstream media because they know the mainstream media cares more about an agenda than truth, they're drastically losing viewers/trust, and you can create a better product going direct to consumer on platforms like this.
This wasn’t an interview by definition. This was an interrogation as the interrogator was pressing the same questions from different angles to gain the answers he wanted to fit his story. An interviewer will create the story from the answers received. This so called reporter already knows what he wants to write and is looking for answers that fit his narrative. I can guarantee that nothing CK said will be in the released report.
I believethey only react when someone makes a casy, like a group of activists. If I steal something and nobody says anything, no court can ever react to my wrong doing, but if someone sues me the court has to react. To make a long story short, there is no linertarian lobby for freedom of speech, which would make a case at the inter ational court.

Konstantin, one of the most powerful shows you have done to date exposing the extreme bias in the left wing media (which of course the left wing denies exists). I was really blown away by the nerve of that so-called "reporter" with his open, in-your-face and unapologetic bias - up-front and center in every question. He clearly came to you not as a "reporter" but someone with an agenda. Thanks for allowing the interview to transpire and sharing it with us. It was an mind-altering experience! You handled the situation with your usual grace, certainty of position, articulate and appropriate responses, and unbelievable restraint...you are a master at what you do.
My high school social studies teacher asked our class what the main objective of a newspaper was. We answered that it is basically to inform and educate the public. He said that's incorrect. He said the basic objective of a newspaper is to make money.
Basic objective of a newspaper is to make money AND sometimes also produce propaganda to benefit owners. In general you will not see media investigating or attacking issues that are connected to interest of owners while doing that on issues that are against the owners interest.
Excellent interview responses to not just biased but also partisan "journalism." Kisin's intellect, clarity, and analytical-thinking skill are amazing and important to incorporate. Thanks for sharing!
These journalists want the story to be about race. No matter how many times they are told it's about incompatible cultures.... Constantine is a rock star.
It's not even about "incompatible" cultures. It's about people who fight for truth, human rights, justice, liberties, arts, etc. while others blatantly hate all of the above.
So, personally I’ve always been racist but from the outside looking in it’s not racial because people from the exact same country/continent such as Hindu’s for example have integrated exceptionally well I’d say, making me not as racist. It’s beautiful, but ya, the Hindu race is welcome, happy and appear to be thriving as well.
Exactly. Military vs parliament. Crown vs military. Lords vs parliament. All these are possible. Even in the US civil war the South were part of the government
Civil war most often occurs after the legitimate government is perceived as having failed leaving a power vacuum. While it _can_ involve government forces it doesn't have to.
You won't. I'm genetically descended from those islands and if need be would willingly "recolonize" the UK and there are many people of similar mindset. Your culture is very special to the point where outsiders value it more than the natives. You (the UK) are our (the US) closest most stable ally, we're not going to just let you collapse. Evil.

Neither side of the Spanish Civil War was the incumbent government. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Also the English Civil War, where it remains debatable as to which side was the actual government?
I agree that the journalist's thesis that every civil war by its nature involves a legitimate government is completely untrue, and there are plenty of historical cases to support this. But I disagree that the Spanish Civil War is a good example here, the republican government maintained institutional continuity with the government elected in 1936.
A great example here would be the Russian civil war, although of course the royalist forces considered themselves the successors of the old regime, they had no formal basis for this.
Of the more recent conflicts, I think the final phase of the Colombian civil war, AUC vs FARC is also a good example.
I think one side of the Spanish civil war actually was the elected government. The other side was a military coup. Then non-government forces joined.
Why didn’t he just call Elon??
His entire line of questioning was very formulaic and preposterously obvious. I was so pleased when you directly called him out near the end of the call. Great call.

A long time ago, NBC interviewed my father after he retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. The slant of the interview was that it was unfair that anybody should be able to retire and receive a pension after only 20 years. That was the moment where I really understood that this was all just professional wrestling. Cable news is cancer.
That doesn't necessarily mean it's fake discourse. People watching it probably don't want to come back from commercial and have no clue what anybody is talking about because they missed a few minutes of the conservation.

So it's not gonna be that hard to find out in time... At some point they cross the line of bad behaviour that earns the name and shame...
Konstantin is good at asking clarifying questions and using silence (not filling the uncomfortable silence). Bravo!
Thank you for this.
