As an Oiler fan, I'm happy to see Yak so fired up and doing well. I always wanted him to turn out better than he did and I hated how we ruined him by putting that much pressure on him at the start of his career. It would be sick if he helped the Avs make the playoffs.
"we" didn't ruin anybody....he shot himself in the foot to begin with..i.e whining on social media and to local radio,tv on how his ice time dropped ( you earn it, it's not given to you btw) Larionov had to fly here from Russia to see why and to also tell yak to STFU...St Louis gave him ample opportunity to prove himself and he didn't..only reason he's doing"ok" now is he's gotten over being a homesick russian and the partying is out of his system...still a bust though.
He needed this. A team which is, like him, longing for a restart. They'll give him all the ice time he needs to succeed, just hope that he can bring consitency into his game, unlike he did in St. Louis.
This is perfect for Yakupov, all the ice time and PP time he needs to succeed, playing with Duchene as well. He won't be punished for mistakes, Yak might score 20 this year.
"This kids a bust he's so bad". No he was playing 3rd or 4th line apart from a few games with mcdavid. He needs to play top two minutes with other good players to be able to create goals and score
Is it just the overall lack of talent on the Avs that makes him look really good lol. Jk, I've been wanting this guy to breakout since he got drafted. Hope he keeps it up.
And you still act like you've never said anything remotely intelligent in your life. Cut him some slack. He's finally on pace to have a halfway decent season. He's earned the right to be happy.
@@captiankirkgames4385 hate to tell you but nail ruined his own career, Edmonton had nothing to do with his downfall...yak was an arrogant cry baby...he had ample time in St Louis and Colorado to correct his mistakes....he didn't. Read on what hockey writers said about his game that carried over from junior, zero hockey sense, lead feet and absolutely terrible on the back check. Mediocre draft year 2012 was...hence Reinhart going fourth 😂😂
and that will be the last goal he’ll ever score
There was no better place to go than Colorado, they'll give him every chance to succeed
Agreed
Yup....on the bench....face it the guys a bust
Khl noe
👌
That worked out well..

chargingmaniac it would Shultz redeem himself in Pittsburgh Yak can too with Colorado

Hooded he played fourth line in St. Louis tho.
Benny Bruschinsky fourth or second....doesn't matter....he was given a chance in Louis and blew it.
Or Edmonton.
And now he sits....ya that good.
nah he still is average
I really like the commentators for the avs they are good
Peter Mcnabb is a legend. Also some of the least biased announcers in the league. Always gives credit where credit is due.
It’s too bad that Yak didn’t pan out in the NHL, he’s a really fun player to watch
The kid knew how to celebrate when he scored.
All flash no dash
@@metzgerovI wouldn’t even call it flash. Dude was just passionate. Shame it never worked out
Crazy how mackinnon improved his skating
Love the passion!

Hes really good lol
The bruins are giving me crippling depression but good news is it’s only October
iBrxdleyy LOL
How do you think I felt as an Avs fan last year?
Then a healthy scratch on the KHL champ team, so I guess his career wasn’t all bad. But what could have been with this kid....
The team didn't ruin Nail Yakupov. It was Nail Yakupov who ruined Nail Yakupov
Rinaldo > Yakupov > Matthews > McDavid

Not a bust?
Vinny Cicileo no still a bust
He's a 3rd liner for life now.
2* liner
Steven Newton 3rd
Unemployed
When i see Yakupov i think of Galchenhyuk...someone save him...
Wow
Both are basically busts. Gally has played for how many teams now? Not everyone pans out unfortunately. That's just the way it goes.
Keep playing him with McKinnon
Imagine he panned out in colorado
NOT A BUST NO MORE
☹️
Scores his third goal of the season and is no longer a bust.
Boston Bruins on suicide watch
Yakupov>Crosby
adam house is on drugs
So about that
Wow
Nailnet
Edmonton no Saint Louis no Colorado yes good for him hope he can redeem himself
Hate to say this but it's pretty safe to say he's a bust
He's been on 4 KHL teams already this year, and now he's making $300+K. No more millions unless he learns to light the lamp again.
@@jasondashney yep
As far as first rounders go....a bust

Celdtrex TMcD Because he hasn’t.
Rick DiPietro > Nail Yakupov
He's still a bust.
He's a Russian agent, fyi.
He sucks on decent to good teams, but is a first overall pick on the worst team in the league???
The Hockey Enthusiast he isn't on San José. He's on the 5th best team in the league
Still a bust
Yuck those jerseys
