It needs saying that the way you film, edit & produce your videos is first class, particularly the intro section, as for the exhaust sound well it is almost impossible with todays technology to properly capture sounds from exhausts, I've tried many times! I'd love to hear that car for real one day - best wishes - Roger - oh and full marks for being brave and showing your out take!

I think the GTS sounded better at idle. Would have been nice to hear them running.
The recording dose not make the sound justice. My son actually laughed at stock. Perhaps you have honoured me with your subscription.
I think the GTS was still in the cold start and revs were higher.
That Spyder is one of if not THE most beautiful Porsches in at least the last 50 years

Great video as always Janko! I unfortunately cant hear a huge difference on the recording. Probably because of the editing or my beats headphones. The caragraphic should be at LEAST 5 dB louder, it would have been nice to see a measurement as the sound meters are cheap on amazon. A good trick is to film from really far away and then filter the audio. Some fly bys or bumper footage would also be helpful. The new tips were a must and look great! Also I dont think you will enjoy the 992 GT3 as much on the street. And tracking a 200k € car is going to be expensive and nerve racking. There were times in your videos of you driving the spyder it looked like you creamed your pants 🤣 its a great package

@@JankoLind upcoming GT3 should be exceptional as always, so whichever way you go, we viewers will follow :) Can not argue that the newest GT department's car has always been the greatest and has atracted the most attention, views and excitement. Still you could do a road trip or a track sesion or both with the Spyder before you send it off. We need more content with that new sonorous exhaust.

I’m puzzled as to why you haven’t put out a video review of the 718 GTS 4.0 yet?
At first I thought it was a matter of availability, but that’s obviously not the case here.
I think we all know the Spider and GT4 is better on track, but It would be really nice to get a comparison of the usability and road driving experience of the GTS 4.0 compared with your Spider.
I recently had the chance to drive a GTS 4.0 on track, and it was really fun....I’m still smiling 😁
Is the GTS 4.0 perhaps so good on the road, that Spyder owners are avoiding the comparison 🤔

Janko very surprised you would sell the car only having just received it. I understand it’s a video recording but can’t hear a massive difference between Spyder and GTS4.0 on recording. Spyder slightly deeper but still underwhelming I’m afraid. As always enjoy the videos.
I have had the car a year and for me regardless RUclips channel is a longtime. But I have not sold the car jet. I'm very happy with it but you know how it is, always striving to get the best better. IT IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE between the cars in real life. Perhaps I shouldn't published that part.
Love your appreciation of the engineering as art . Having gone from the 991 GT3 to the Boxster T , I get the principle of your dilemma on the 992 GT3 v spyder but what about the outrageous looking Gt4 RS to confuse the mix .?

It’s nice to have those as options, I’ve been on a waiting list for 4 years for a new GT4 and have been told there’s no hope I’d get allocated a GT4RS. I’ve been loyal to the Porsche brand as well with my local centre maintaining my 911 964 for years. I’ve expressed interest in GT3 also and have said the only car I stand any chance of getting is a GT4, hoping the next round of allocations will see me in one 🤞

I see you're still going back and forth between the Spyder and GT3. How did you feel in the GT4? Perhaps the feel in the GT4 will be the same but with a lot more power on the GT3.
GT4 is not for me, the Spyder gives me much more.
My gts 4.0 will be of the first ones with PDK.. i will Inform you about the gear ratios..

How is the gearbox on the GTS4.0 in comparison to the Spyder? Same ratios? How do they compare to drive?
You need to loose the GPF’s to really unlock that sweet sound.

The tailpipe dose not affect the sound. If you are not already please consider subscribing

Thanks for another enjoyable video! Curious as to why you couldn't sell the car incl mods at PC - they don't allow it or you think it will be too big loss in price, that they won't be able to sell it for "the right price" with the mods on?
As for the 992GT3, I understand your situation. I am also on the list for one, but at the same time I am still sooo happy with my 991.2 GT3T, specced to perfection... :) I think the trade up to the 992 would set me back 250-300KSEK (I am sure the list price will go up substantially) and I seriously doubt it will be worth it. I also like the relatively analog feeling in the 991 interior, the 992 doesn't "do it" for me yet. So my plan now is to sit still in the boat until 992.2 comes at least. But who knows, when the 992.1 finally is revealed in January, I might change my mind. Sigh.
Keep the 991, and yes to all above. I am not allowed to sell if from Porsche unless it is stock and will not get paid. I don't think anybody will pay for a car like mine but if there is...

No manual "Spyder RS" with a GT3 engine. You will get the Safari next week and we all ready know about the upcoming 911 s/t

I totally understand the allure of a new 992 GT3. However, what's rather hard for me to understand is: Why would you invest so much money, time and energy to modify and individualise your Spyder, just to sell it after one season? Wasn't the whole point of all those mods to build a car that was truly yours? (In addition, I love the Spyder and it would be sad to see it go)
I do find it pleasing to actually do the modifications, kind of like the journey. But you are right I'm having a hard time to decide what to do...
Hmm wonder when the 992 can be ordered...

This day is a no sell mode. I have NEVER in my life had such a hard time to make a decision. I even told my wife the I regretted putting that part of the video in and she ruled her eyes and said: Here we go again, this week its a no sell argument.
Janko Lind makes sense. You have probably the best Spyder on the planet...but RUclips and all makes it a hard decision. I feel for ya!
Janko - hope you don’t sell it and get the 992 and end up disappointed and wish you would have kept the car you had a deep connection with. That would be hard to live with!
