- Let's clear this up right now. The Black-Capped Chickadee (Episode #4) and the Eastern Phoebe (Episode #15) need NOT be confused.

In this episode of Learn a Bird, Dan helps you better understand the two groups of songbirds (oscines and sub-oscines) and their biological vocal limitations/abilities.

Watch & Learn, friends!
Amazing skills.
My wife just told me about this YESTERDAY!
You married wisely 😂
Phoebe! Phoebe?😂
I made this very mistake when I first started and thought I was surrounded by phoebes for a time. Great video!
Totally....mistakes are great learning opportunities, right? Happy learning.
You Rock thanks for that great info.. I am listening 🎶
You're so welcome.
My favorite RUclips channel !!
That's very kind
Thanks for another great video! Two of my favorite birds!
THANK YOU FOR DOING A PHEOBE 🥰! I’m still trying to get their whistle down with the vibration involved, that’s the tough part!! Are you placing your tongue behind your teeth? I’m making the whistle just not the vibration
My pleasure. The learning never stops. Enjoy the process.
There is a bird in Eastern Ontario who's call sounds like Kiwi kiwi... Any Ideas? Almost like the 1st half of the PEWEE, TWICE...
Could it be the begging calls of a juvenile hawk? (see episode #50)
@@LeadwithNature Thanks, but no. I am well familiar with the call of the Red Tail...
I like my Black Capped Chickadees. They're very brave and I think I can call them.
