When I’m looking for safe and sanitary drinkware I always seek out places where barefoot dudes sit on the dirt and hammer out “glasses” made from mystery metal, soldered with poison lead, and polished with oily rags!
It's not a big deal, when I was a kid we drank water from lead pipes, the amount of lead exposed here is minimal, and if you wash it before you use them, as you would any now tableware no problem.

Is it copper or glass? Looks copper to me. The finished product looks like a copper cup or a water goblet.
