I'm Doll maker and puppeteer. Good job! Pro tip: soak the hair into water with hair conditioner. The reault will be like brand new one! Cheers from Brazil! ;)
fabric softener works better with artificial fibers, though with how old this looked to be i wouldn't be surprised if it was horsehair(looks to have about the right texture)
@@prcervi if it's horse hair I'd try to use the hair and mane shampoo or whatever it's called from walmart. Has a horse on the bottle and idk if it's true but my ex used it for her hair and she said they used it on their horses at their farm.
I ended up with some antique puppet mannequin dolls that were my grandmothers. She got them from Denmark. I swear they would move at night, lol. I put them in a box in the attic. 😂
One of the reasons I subscribed (apart from your obvious skills) is that you don't show the final result on the video preview presentation. Most restoration channels show the final result before you even start watching the video. Great restorations and superb editing!. Keep it up.
I bet she feels a lot better. When you sew with a machine, you can make the job a lot easier if you insert the pins at right angles to the sewing line. You need to use more, but you just pull 'em out as you sew and you can go really fast if you want to. Thank you for uploading and see you soon.
I love the new hairstyle! I think the braids and bows were a big part of what made her “creepy” before. She has an older woman’s face but had the hairstyle of a child. She looks great and I bet she feels a lot better! Looking forward to more great content!
Wow, the editing did it to me! Also i liked how you really "restored" rather than making it different and better/modern. you preserved a piece of history so that now people can see what entertainment was like before. Thank you! You got a sub from me for sure! 💪🏻
I love this channel so much. You're absolutely my favorite restorer. Not only are you skilled at cleaning and repairing stuff, but knowing how to do leatherwork, sewing, painting, etc. make you miles above everyone else. Thank you for bringing us the best content!
Oh this was wonderful! It takes me back to my days as an art student in NY. I had a couple of puppets that I got at FAOL Schwartz. Mitzi and Fritzi. Haven't seen them in years. I might have to go in search of them. Love that you left the old hags hair loose. The pigtails are what made her look creepy in the first place. Truly enjoyed this. Thank you!
Upper thread tension needs to be loosened a bit. It's pulling lower thread out on right side, making the stitching unstable (but it's good, if you want to make some tiny frills). Nice job as always, i hope that puppet lost her will to scare people :P
I was so scared you would throw away her clothes and make new ones (since the fabric looked in good shape). That was a great hem for a first try but the tension on the sewing machine wasn't right. I think it was too tight, you shouldn't be able to see the bobbin thread from above (just from my humble experience with sewing machines). I loved this video to the last minute~ I really like marionettes!
Oh my gosh, this is the coolest restoration. She turned out so fresh and wonderful. I love her little dance.I was totally on the edge of my seat watching this. Kinda hated it ended.
She looked so creepy before with that old woman face but girlish hairstyle. She’s much better now. I thought for sure you would use the shirt and shawl (poncho?) as a pattern to make completely new clothes for her. It’s what I would have done. Bleaching and re-dyeing the shirt and shawl wouldn’t have even occurred to me. Great job saving those original pieces!
sir you really surprise me. You maker.. You tailor.. and you good are with technology.. Feel the inspiration and passion just by seeing 'this'. Please don't stop and excuse my simple language, thanks.
OMG the intro! OMG the outro! LOL! What year was this made? What kind of monster creates the creepiest old man puppet face on a little girl puppet? Nightmare fuel! It’s amazing though. Pretty work!
I've watched all your videos, and they just keep getting better and better. Is there anything you can't do? I can't wait for the next one. You, my friend, have amazing talent.
I love this! I’d love to get into restoring dolls. If this doll was haunting before, now she’s FLAUNTING! If these puppets etc were to be haunted, I wonder if the spirit would appreciate getting a restoration and refresh…
Looks great!! Excellent job restoring it I would have left the hair together but still washed it. Sure didn't think you was going to leave original but very glad you did!! A great job on cloths as well and painting it!! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
I can't decide, within the set, which is better: if its restoration work; if your shooting method; if your edit; if your soundtrack; or if your video script. Congratulations, I love restoration channels, but I've never seen such a complete work for youtube. I'm commenting on this video, because so far, it's my favorite, I loved the moves you made with the puppet. And I have to add, it's just wonderful when you move the camera, or rotate it 360 degrees; the effect is incredible (Brazil here!).

This is the kind of editing and content you expect from a channel with +1 mil subs not 25k! You sir deserve a lot more subs
They will come soon...
Totally agree 👍
He's at 55k now!!
208k
A year later, 250k, imagine another yr, 2.5m
During the disassembly I was thinking "please be gentle with her"! Puppets are awesome and you gave her a faithful restoration.
I'm shocked by how well you moved the marionette in the end, when she came out of the box it scared me haha!! Wonderful job restoring it!!
Yes, l am too shocked😱
I ended up with some antique puppet mannequin dolls that were my grandmothers. She got them from Denmark. I swear they would move at night, lol. I put them in a box in the attic. 😂
My heart skipped a beat when she sat up in her box.
I'm a conservator (restaurator) - in my professional opinion, your colour-matching talents are off the scale! Fantastic work on the paint job!
Yes, the paint matching made me wonder if this guy is an actual professional at this.
One of the reasons I subscribed (apart from your obvious skills) is that you don't show the final result on the video preview presentation. Most restoration channels show the final result before you even start watching the video. Great restorations and superb editing!. Keep it up.
I'm glad you kept true to her look and just gave her a freshening up! That's how you avoid being haunted 👍
When you made the puppet give a sassy hair toss like in a shampoo commercial I died 😂💀⚰️ More videos please, these are seriously my favorite! ❤️
Wow, a real Spa day for that marionette lady. The result looks amazing.
I bet she feels a lot better.

Agreed. Also, the tension was wrong. That’s gonna haunt me😂

The dancing in the end SENT me !!! This is so funny and cute and adorable thank you for this! hahaha

Exactly what I was thinking. That was definitely the wrong hairstyle 😅

Wow!!! The wicked witch's sister has hit the big time!!! Lady GA GA hasn't got a chance! Swing it, Sister. Awesome 👌

That thumbnail is not something you wanna see when you just woke up! Perfect for Halloween though 😅
I love how you treat her so gently.... like rip old marionette, you^re in good hands now...
This vid was proof that old things never die. Wonderful resto. Keep em comin'.
Soooo many emotions!!!!
I went from "please burn it immediately!" over a hundred other feelings to, "wooow, awesome dying and printing!".
Crazy!
She looks like Bob Newhart! Bravo! Great job.
Who else is not surprised that this is his Halloween video? 😑
Great job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I do miss her braids, but she came out amazing at the end!!

When you took the plaits out of her hair I thought 'He'll never be able to do those again!' 😁🧡
Most people would never attempt this restoration. You are a very brave and skillful restorer! This video earned my subscription!
Fantastic job! Better than when new. Love to restore old things! Love the title. 👏
Wow. What an interesting video. The restoration was first rate but the quality of the video production is beyond fantastic. Thanks.
Я всегда с улыбкой смотрю ваши ролики, но здесь вы рассмешили! Спасибо!!!
You did a really great job with her, when you took her braids out I was thinking she looks better without them, I'm glad you chose to go with that.
I avoided this since creepy things creep me out HOWEVER this was so wonderful thank-you a lovely transformation.
I considered not watching this one…puppet restoration didn’t seem interesting. I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed this! Nice job!
You are a true artist in all that you do. Jack of all trades. Very impressive.
My aunt just sent me a pair of marionettes to restore and I had no idea where to start--this video was so helpful, thank you!!
J'aurais essayé de la rendre un peu moins moche, mais bon. Bravo pour la technique, vous savez vraiment tout faire !
I like that your restorations are diverse. This puppet is optimal for this date, The job was perfect, and it has a new look in her hair 😁👍👍🌹
dude you are a Jack of all trades... Your skills are incredible and I love the quality of your work.
This channel editing skills are underrated, not sure why it has less than 1M subscribers
She looks so cute. Very endearing.
The hotest sneakers when you get to the sewing machine had me BALLING MY EYES OUT! Amazing video as always, I'm a huge fan
Bravo 👏, excellente restauration, tu respecte bien les matériaux et l’époque de l’objet et tu filmes bien les détails. Vraiment agréable à regarder! 👌
I agree with Mufasa I Am: your editing skills, and imagination, are off the charts! Very impressive resto and film.

You have tremendous skills, I am in awe of your work
Watching this with The Cleaner from Toy Story 2 in the background makes this 100x better
The dance sequence at the end. I literally was so into it

That doll looked cursed when it came out of the box but the little daney dance ate the restoration was everything.

I love your work!!! What fine craftmanship! I wondered how you'd approach the clothes...outstanding!
Not gonna lie, that doll is a bit creepy. Looks a bit like a Witch. Very good detailing on the face though. Good job on restoring a creepy antique.
