HOW TO ICE A SUPER TALL CAKE! | THE FLOUR GIRL

Here’s how I iced this super tall cake (with a butter knife 🫠😂)! I left my cake tools at my parents house for our last cake class and all I had was the butter knife… and a palette knife! We got the job done!
💚Smooth the cake in parts (I did bottom first, then top)
💚 Use a central dowel for support
💚 Sharpen bottom end of dowel with pencil sharpener
💚 Carefully guide your dowel through hole in the central board
💚 Use the trimmed off dowel to help hammer the long dowel into the baseboard
💚 Patch up the dowel hole on top
💚Don’t forget to wipe your board!
