What kind of moronic idiot tries to get somebody to smile while they were in the middle of painful labor. That mother-in-law was really unbelievable. She shouldn’t have been in there at all. And filming for social media to me that’s not something you put on social media pictures of somebody giving birth. And the husband the husband is a total jerk slapping his wife because she wouldn’t smile. And what did that get him? it got him a divorce, and it got him limited visitation with his daughter while supervised. And I think supervised visits were too much. He shouldn’t have been allowed to be anywhere near that child he’s violent.
I don't understand why OP didn't instruct the staff to exclude her MIL and SIL from the delivery room. It's every pregnant woman's right, regardless of what her husband wants.
