Seventeen is too young to babysit for a anyone younger than eight, especially for more than a couple of hours. I know this from experience. I was a 17 yr. Old babysitter. I made careless decisions and dumb mistakes. Fortunately nothing bad happened, but it could have. Later on I became a mother to my own children. I was a good mother because I was an adult. 17 is still considered a minor with much to learn .
