I grew up with these cars and movies 10 years ago and seeing how some friends have child hood memories collections I want to make an acceleracers collection, thanks for posting these videos so that I can use them as reference
@giggleblaggle I don't believe that I have a Swamp Beast sealed in the box. I bought one for my son and we played with that but I had another one and I think that I bought that one on clearance I'm pretty sure that I opened that one too. I'm not sure and I'm not positive where it is either LOL!
All Metal Maniacs cars should have 5 spoke wheels just like in the movie . Why are some of them harder to find in 5 spoke wheels and why does some not even have a 5 spoke variation ? Are 5 spoke wheels more expensive ?
OOOOoooooOOO I thought the type of car didnt affect the car lol. if you saw I put a vid of the cards on my channel. ar they worth anything or are they just normal? wait, I had an international case piledriver and the cards in it said words and everything though.
So with the whole Rollin' Thunder thing I think is because of the movies. In Ignition where Monkey takes Rollin' Thunder into the Storm Realm it gets destroyed. Before the Swamp Realm, Porkchop brings another one in on the back of Old Smokey. I'm thinking that the brownish one was the first one and the Red one was the one he used after that. Just a theorey. And the 70 Road Runner wasn't released in the Metal Maniacs livery, nor was Slingshot or the Deora II. Sorry guys.
I'm 49 so the only playing I might do is give a car some downhill racing track time =) If you're a kid, enjoy the cars! Play with them because they are toys! All of my HWY35 and AcceleRacers were opened up just for display and I never played with the ones in these videos. I have extras that may make an appearance soon =)
@epicutubemembername It has been awhile so I have forgotten. But since most of the cars have 6 spoke, I assume that was the common variation. I believe that the tooling broke for Mattel to make the 5 spoke wheels and they didn't have time to wait to make a new tool so they just put 6 spokes on them because the tool to make that wheel was still good.
The AcceleRacers that were re-issued in packs like the Drone packs were mainly offered at Kmart from my recollection. They did not sell well and were put on clearance. I wouldn't say that they are very rare but they it is a fair statement that they are harder to obtain.
@SuperSaiyan3985 It is not unusual for Mattel to take promotional items that were destined to be in a package and then put them in baggies to be distributed via other means. I acquired my blue Ransburg McQueen from the Mattel Toy Store in a baggie as well.
The models that I showed were in the AcceleRacers single packs. I don't have all of the Team Colors Series 3-packs and singles where the AcceleRacers were recolored but released under the AcceleRacers brand name.
@georgeman21222 Nope, no time for customs. As for the Four-1, my table is a mess and I haven't done a Track Time video in a couple months. It has been very hot here in So Cal and I haven't had any parties recently.
Thanks. Another viewer let us know that there were four: Bassline, Nitrium, Rat-ified, and Flathead Fury.that were droned. I will have to look into it. And yes, I have the puple Spine Buster.
I have bought some AcceleRacers 3-packs that I haven't shown in a video yet. Some singles too. I can't recall any of them being models that were droned. Do you recall which cars were droned?
@teoweikoon Yes, that was me on Mythbusters. Everybody wanted Hot Wheels, even the Mythbusters. But the word from the production team was that Mattel would not allow them to use their vehicles.
@teoweikoon Your Piledriver is part of the series that was released after the AcceleRacers. It was the 2006 Accelecharged Series. There were singles and 3-packs but they didn't have the trading cards.
@CorvairGuy69 I see that now that I look at the HW Wiki but South Texas Diecast didn't have a 6 spoke listed. HW Wiki doesn't have a pic but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist - Thanks!
@beatdash102 If there was a red Power Bomb, it was released in the next incarnations of these cars. I didn't buy those because they were in multi-packs, 3 for $5 or something like that.
@Danfunnyman1234 SouthTexasDiecast doesn't have a variation listed for the burgundy version. Wiki has one listed but no pics so there is no proof that it exists.
@MongooseBikeRacer The batteries in the McD's Acceleracers won't last forever. I have a set of those Acceleracers too and I need to get them filmed by Friday!
Metal Maniacs cars that are my favorite: 1. Rivited 2. Hollowback 3. Spine Buster Note: Like the Drift Tech from Teku, the Power Bomb doesn't appear in the movie
@Hamzah Zannoun I am pretty sure that I acquired the Rollin' Thunder with 5 Spoke Co Mold wheels after doing this video. The Purple Spinebuster was reportedly to be a promotional item. I heard that the promotion was canceled but the cars were already made. One person acquired the whole batch of cars and has been selling them on eBay. I did buy a couple for my collection.
@Steven Schmidt After the iriginal run of Acceleracer, they were released in new packs, I believe called Realms, with a couple stickers. I remember the stickers being the different Teams and the AcceleRacers logo. I have very few of those packs.
@10h41 I checked Wikipedia(dot)org and it had these listed: World Race (120 min) Ignition (60 min) The Speed of Silence (60 min) Breaking Point (60 min) The Ultimate Race (60 min)
@efraim montenegro de mattos Me too!
If dom toretto exists in hw universe hes definitely with the maniacs

Oh, by the way, there is a NEW Spine Buster in a 5-pack called Attack Pack!
Thanks for helping with the discussion =)
Spine Buster looks cool
Ikr
Jaw Jammer wound up being Airy 8 in the mainlines. It was not produced for the AcceleRacers line.
I have not opened up my Ultimate Track set or my Acceledrome yet.
OK, I will try to make a video for them.
@Danfunnyman1234 In the future, these are the kids of cars that you will be seeking to add to your collection!
Thanks. Always looking for some potential racers with decent weight.
@giggleblaggle I don't believe that I have a Swamp Beast sealed in the box. I bought one for my son and we played with that but I had another one and I think that I bought that one on clearance I'm pretty sure that I opened that one too. I'm not sure and I'm not positive where it is either LOL!
@hotwheelsrule123 JackHammer would be cool to have a 1:1 version!
There were four: Bassline, Nitrium, Rat-ified, and Flathead Fury.
I have a 5 spoke rolling thunder with a dark reddish paint scheme and a 5 spoke rivited
@SuperSaiyan4985 I already have a purple Spinebuster. I don't trade for just one car an I never trade with kids. Ever.

OOOOoooooOOO I thought the type of car didnt affect the car lol. if you saw I put a vid of the cards on my channel. ar they worth anything or are they just normal? wait, I had an international case piledriver and the cards in it said words and everything though.
At 1:37 that car look like a Ford Mustang..

Cool! Out of the ones that you have, I like Rivited and Piledriver.
Those cards are the internation version (non-USA)
Awesome! Spinebuster is one of my overall favorite Hot Wheels!
@marylourossi73 Power Piston is a great track car! Did you see him in my Hwy 35 World Race Roadbeasts video?
Spine Buster. Ooohhhh Ahhhhhh =)

aaronkristofer18 the Road Runner , Deora and Slingshot were repainted
aaronkristofer18 that sucks a lot cuz those were really nice looking until they were all destroyed funny right all the world race cars gone
Wonder why they didn't rerelease
2:01 i got this in my power
Rivited is the only car I need to complete my metal maniacs collection
I'm 49 so the only playing I might do is give a car some downhill racing track time =) If you're a kid, enjoy the cars! Play with them because they are toys! There has never been a Jaw Jammer released with the name Jaw Jammer on the card. The actual model was released in the regular Hot Wheels as Airy 8.
The '70 Road Runner was Highway 35 World Race. You can search my channel or RUclips and find my playlist and videos. He was Scorchers, correct?
@DaddyIvo Highway 35 took existing models and gave them exclusive deco's and Co-Mold wheels. All of the Acceleracers were brand new models!
For Pile Driver, there was never a 5 spoke variation. So my uncle who customizes hotwheels took the wheels out and put the 5 spoke wheels in .
@Autofanatic28 No, I do not collect them anymore. However, if I hear that McD's is releasing a particular model, I might seek it out.
The AcceleRacers with 5-spoke wheels were in shorter supply. As to whether they are considered rare or not, I don't know.
@ThunderBird6619 These cars have not been available for many years. You have to buy them from eBay or other sources.
@pippi459 I checked around and I didn't see any name of the person who drove Power Bomb in the Acceleracers show.
@SuperSaiyan4985 Sorry, i am replying on my phone. It was faster to say kid but I meant no offense.
I don't know but I will post a comment to see if somebody sees it and can answer your question.
@SwonzX All of these had plastic, Co-Mold tires. None were released with rubber tires.
Metal Maniacs cars that are my favorite:
1. Rivited
2. Hollowback
3. Spine Buster
Note: Like the Drift Tech from Teku, the Power Bomb doesn't appear in the movie
Nope, I'm not selling any of mine. You can find other people selling them on eBay.
@5nascarkrazy24 Search my videos for Jack Hammer to see him getting some Track Time!
@PrivateGun100 LOL! That's what happens when you make videos and start talking!
If you noticed from the other replies, I so not sell or trade. I collect.
@10h41 We have some of the DVD's but I don't recall watching any of them.
Cool I see that Flathead Fury is your favorite. Mine is Spine Buster =)
@Hamzah Zannoun I am pretty sure that I acquired the Rollin' Thunder with 5 Spoke Co Mold wheels after doing this video. The Purple Spinebuster was reportedly to be a promotional item. Man I love these cars so much! I have a few of these well u already know huh racegrooves? :D
@10h41 I checked Wikipedia(dot)org and it had these listed: World Race (120 min)
Ignition (60 min)
The Speed of Silence (60 min)
Breaking Point (60 min)
The Ultimate Race (60 min)
@Deathwishesh Yes, both lines utilized the Co-Mold wheels.
I doubt that it's worth anything unless it's a foil card.
@mariman7 This team looked like they could be real cars!
They never made Old Smokey into a toy as far as I know.
@jerryluis1 I think that the Piledriver is a cool model. I still haven't sent any of the versions through a booster yet though...
@ATB042 All of them are plastic-bodied, metal bases.
It's nice that the models are still being released.
@formulaonehotwheel Long live the Spine Buster! Mattel knows it is a cool model because it gets used in play sets and 5-packs.
@waspspray The Metal Maniacs were one of the two teams from the AcceleRacers that had models that could be real cars on the road!
I have no estimations as to when I can get to the Ultimate Track Set video. I need to make a bigger area to film that one!
@rocrorvig No, I only bought a couple of them.
@FallenStarProject Nope. Gotta buy a new one.
I have been collecting since 1998. I acquired all of these cars when they were originally released.
@mariman7 The AcceleRacers were from 2005.
I am not sure if I have the silver RD-02
@SSJ4VEGITO100 Thanks for letting us know who drove the Power Bomb in the Acceleracers show!
1:30 i got this in my power
