    Another great video. Clear, concise. Easy to understand. I hope you'll go into more depth with future DSL videos. Would love to see that.

    I noticed that the bandwidth is much lower than the data rate for each cable.How is this possible? In the case of category 5e the bandwidth is 1000 megahertz but the upper speed limit is 2.5 gigabits per second. What kind of modulation is used are multiple carriers sent over a single line?

      One 100 megahertz I mean for cat 5e

      The data rate depends on the types of modulation used. You could have 1 or 2bits per wave with basic modulation or 16 bits per wave if using QAM. I'll be doing a video on QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) soon. This video should answer your question on modulation and why the bandwidth would be much lower than the data rate.

    MDI = Medium-dependent interface

      Thank you for the correction. I believe that I referred to it as Medium Density Interface. Correction for viewers. The correct term for the abreviation MDI is Medium Dependent Interface. Thanks again for the correction.

      Gibt es eine bestimmte Frage zu geraden oder gekreuzten Kabeln?
