i hate laminitis RIP Barbaro. at least on the racetrack of Heaven you can run all you want and never be in pain you are severely missed and will never be forgotten
I was watching him from my country, and became a big fan. Every year i visit the Florida Derby, and 2006 was special. I remember i told my girlfriend 'can you smell that air, we are in the same air as Barbaro'. She laughed and told me i was nuts. That day Barbaro won ofcourse, and he gave me the chills... My adamsapple got squeezed in my throat when i heard the news. There was something about that horsey...
What most people don't understand is how horroble. depressing and painful it is to see your beloved pet, friend, family member suffer. Knowing you can't to enything to make it stop. This is the feeling you can't but in words bicause there is none for that. And how painful it is to have to make a decision like that. I know how the owner's feel and I wish that nobody else could feel that way.
I got into horseracing just a year or so b4 Barbaro began racing. I remember watching and betting countless times wondering if will see a great in this lifetime and Im glad to have watching Barbaro and was so heartbroken to hear what happened. He'll always be my favorite! RIP buddy
This documentary makes e cry like a baby. You can tell The Jackson's & everyone involved with this horse were devastated by his injury & death. It seems like such a waste to have to put such a magnificent animal to death because of complications from a broken leg. Something that can be a temporary setback for us can mean their life.
Is there even a cure for Laminitis? Great Story and this would make a great movie I definitely would see, I could watch this over and over, The Jacksons and Mr. Martz are all great hearted people!! RIP Mr. B.
This part of all of it made me cry an the ending was just so touching the things they said about him an what he could of became. I belive he would of went on to win and he would still be alive today. he was a true champion he loved eeryting he did an everyone around him. he will never be forgotten he truly was an inspiration an a nations hero. Long live Barbaro.
Nicanor already had problems with his legs... I just hope he wont fallow the same path as his brother.... Barbaro change so many thing, now we have more chances for saving horses... With Ruffian we all feel pain, but with him there is a hope... Thank you for this video...
Very poignant words in the last 30 seconds, "April 20, 2007...Roy and Gretchen Jackson welcome the birth of a healthy colt, He is the Brother of Barbaro, The 136th Kentucky Derby is May 1, 2010..." Bravo Lentenor for your amazing victory yesterday, Your Big Brother's are very proud!

Does anybody know anything about his brother? Did he at least participate in the Derby?

Does anyone know who narrated this? I can't think of his name and it's killing me!
It was Bob Costas.
