I'm surprised they made this dialogue impossible to get, considering how finished it seems.
It wasnt exactly a bad decision to disable it considering the bruteforcing torture testers/devs had to go through each time they wanted to see it
@@griddmeirax To be fair they could just do something to edit their inventory to test dialogue working - the same way I’d imagine it’s done in the video

I spent about five hours brute forcing it with my friends on call because I completely forgot how to have items selected

How TF did you spend 5 hours on a 4 digit code?
Started by doing 0000, then 1000, then 2000, and so on. Then I did 1100, and 2100... I think I gave up and tried looking it up at 8570 or something ridiculous like that. Everyone in the call felt incredibly stupid.
@@KelpHair since there can be only one of each number on the remote, code should consist only out of unique numbers, so there's only 5040 or (10 * 9 * 8 * 7) possible codes instead of 10k, you could have skipped numbers like 2000 2200 or other with duplicate numbers

Love how many little interactions there are in this game. Niko happily explaining they brute forced a code and it's better than nothing is adorable.

Thanks for all these interesting facts. I've watched all of your OneShot videos, and I just want to say that I love that people still make OneShot content. It's such an amazing game with a lot of hidden things; I've honestly never heard about this hidden TV Remote dialogue - really cool! Your channel is seriously so underrated, but you got a lot of great stuff.

That's interesting, so the conversation with Plight implies that you just guessed randomly on the computer password which would explain that you didn't need the remote. Would be really funny if Niko just kept the remote until she actually used it instead of throwing it away in multiple points without ever finding use.

@@rapesquad It's ambiguous. I don't think Niko has a canonical gender (intentionally so I believe). Gendered pronouns are never used in reference to Niko and the matter of their gender isn't really brought up. Lots of fans assume Niko is male because in many regions Niko sounds like a more masculine name, but not all regions have that association and assume Niko is female due to their mannerisms and dialogue seeming more feminine to them. Some people think Niko is nonbinary, but Niko doesn't ever identify themself as such and I don't think having a character's gender be ambiguous automatically makes them NB. Personally in my playthrough I thought Niko was male and I still find myself using he/him pronouns by default unless I am specifically in a conversation about Niko's gender.

I think the 2nd one may have been a joke for people who cheat to have the item at that point in the game.
1:22 I love how Niko moves towards the text here, Reminded me of when Jolly wangcore used to put a ton of effort into making captions fit into the environment (like the captions of a character speaking following their head and even the direction their facing) Kinda stopped watching his videos when he stopped as that was sorta the thing that made his videos stand out.

No kidding,i started to play OneShot just a week ago,picked up an remote (then checked for everything else because i am a dumbass) then somehow got accidentally teleported into an author's room (back then i didn't had any clue so the 'X' part really had me look like an idiot) and that got me into an solstice ending (no footage because i did not had any recording system in my pc and i had no idea wtf is going on ☹️)

Its impossible, safe code is simply 0 before you get the document. And the game checks your input only if code isnt equal to 0.
