The whole egg thing and dogs actually really only works with retriever breeds in particular as they were bred to be gentle when handing killed prey, such as a duck, back to their owner.
My dad's dog Archer (English Cream golden retriever) recently had puppies and we did the egg test with her. She was careful with the egg, but she still had no idea what to do about the puppies- She's always been clumsy, but I think since she had the puppies she's gotten worse- She's healthy, don't worry, but I think it's because this was her first litter that she had no idea what was going on and why there were so many little gremlins trying to bite her- She's a total sweetheart, but we always have to count the puppies whenever she's feeding them to make sure she doesn't sit on one -
More people should recognize the difference between comedy and abuse with animals. It can be funny without putting the animal in danger Im glad you show the difference in good and bad behavior towards animals not only does it tell people what not to do, it tells them how to do better in the future.
I wish more people understood this. I remember one post on Tumblr where the Op was complaining about how blogs that rate whether certain animal content is cute. There is cute content out there regarding animals! It's not stuck-up to tell people that cats should not play with rabbits, because that ain't cute. What is cute? Feeding rabbits occasional treats, filming a bird singing to a song, cuddling an affectionate cat that wants to cuddle, chuckling at a dog that found a stick that's WAY too big- all of that is adorable!
Yeah like that chicken getting thrown video. That was really funny, since they used a prop chicken! Many harmful animal videos could be really funny using toy animals. They started with a real chicken, then after slamming it it turned into a toy one. It was so funny! We need more videos like that, using prop animals instead of real ones.
I noticed how long his crest was in the last vid!! I've never seen crest feathers that curl over so much it's so cute! My cockatiel looks just like Yuki though
I actually rescued a pigeon from the wild because it had broken it's leg quite badly and had a lung infection. Unfortunately we won't be able to release her. We are also going to get another pigeon to keep her company 💖
We had a wild albino pidgeon(basically a dove tbh) in our care for a few months because it had a broke wing. Then one day my dad was just like "Its time" and took them outside. And after a bit they just flew away. We had no idea how to care for it so im suprised it actually recovered but it did
i have a pigeon myself! he was starving and dehydrated when he came to us because he wasnt used to being in the wild, came all the way from los angelos as a racing pigeon (we think he really lost his way) for the first few days we tried to get him to go back, but he always ended up returning by morning, eventually i moved him to my room and here we are!
Skunks are pretty rare as pets, but people can have them as pets; the spray glands are removed so they don't spray. My old art teacher had one named Priscilla.
There's also people that keep foxes and mink, with licences :) they're not exactly cuddly 'pets', but can live a comfortable domestic life with certain care adjustments
The one about the mom and the children under 10 was pretty accurate when I was growing up haha! We always had a betta in a bowl! But if it weren't for that, I wouldn't be so passionate about betta-keeping now, so it was a blessing in disguise, I guess! My betta lives in a 5 gal show tank usually with his snail friends! Sadly, he's in a 2 gal hospital tank right now, since he's at the end of his life. He has a huge tumor where his dorsal fin should be, and he's developed both fin rot and columnaris secondary to it that he just can't fight off because his immune system's not strong enough due to the cancer. He's really struggling tonight, so if he hangs on until I wake up tomorrow, I'm probably going to be easing his journey over the rainbow bridge with some clove oil. This is for sure the hardest part of pet ownership, but I guess the positive side is that I now am so passionate about fish care that my fish are living long enough to die of things like cancer rather than poor water quality!!
I don't know about your country, but in America, while I wouldn't say that skunks are real "popular," but there are a lot of people who do keep a pet skunk. It's gotten to the point where we now have skunks that have grey and even light brown stripes instead of the common black. The most important step in for offering a pet skunk (other than the usual obvious) is to have the spray sacks removed while the skunk is still a kitten.
The trend is based on the fact a lot of retrievers have soft mouths so they won’t break the skin of the ducks they’re carrying meaning they won’t crack an egg
Hey soda, I got some unrelated ish cool news. Watching people like you made me decide to rescue an animal. I’m rescuing an Aussie water dragon and putting in a 2 metre tall bioactive paludarium.! Good day. Nz gang
4:36 sometimes, when i’m playing with my dog, he’ll just stop so i throw the toy at him, thinking he’ll catch it, and it just??? bounces off his face and then he looks at me like i should have known that was going to happen
The last one with the cone reminds me of one of our dogs. He shut himself in the bathroom (closed by pushing from inside). I tried to open it a couple of times but it kept slamming shut. Every time he could have fitted in the gap he charged to to get out…but the cone slammed it and bounced him back in. (It took less than 5 mins to get him out)
The rat momma ripping her babies into the bed is so funny, you can just hear them holding the edges shouting “NO MOTHER! NOT THE DARKNESS!” Then FWUMP!
My dogs have all tasted eggs fresh because we'd throw out the cracked ones from our chickens, so my dogs would definitely all crack/crunch an egg immediately 😂
The skunks stompy paws around the 7:17 is actually a warning that they are going to spray. Another type of skink actually does a handstand before they spray.
My Chihuahua/Brussels Griffon mix is terrified of bugs. (she shakes & hides) Like she might lunge at a fly on instinct, then she realizes what she's done and is horrified. 😂😅 Poor silly baby.
8:40 I feel this just scrutinizes responsible and informed parents who teach their kids how to actually care for fish. When i was between the ages of 5-12, my dad was an amateur aquarist and we had a huge aquarium with lots of fish, and it was very well maintained. My dad would take good care of the fish, and he even taught me things like how to clean the filters, how to properly feed the fish, and which fish can be kept together.
Im pretty sure the dog egg trick works when they grab it in their mouth, they're suppose to sense its delicate and will spit it out or gently hold it in their mouth
The trend most likely started with owners of retriever dogs giving them eggs. Retrievers have a behavior known as having a soft mouth which means they're naturally more gentle with things like eggs when they carry them. This behavior is popular in hunting dogs because their owners (hunters) want them to be able to carry the animals they've just shot back to them without causing any further damage to it.
From personal experience with many dog breeds. Only my retriever would not break the egg instantly. The chiweenie my girlfriend owns would just crush it in it's mouth because it loves food. My mother's pomski would just kick it around trying to break it open, and my dog would hold it in it's mouth until it found a spot it wanted to eat at, then break the egg. Dogs are predators. They love eggs too eat
My cockatiel died recently, and hearing your little potatoes chirping away really put me in a better mood. They all look so happy and healthy. Mine had his crest plucked out before I got him, and sadly it never grew back but I loved him anyway. He had a scratchier chirp and despite his age (he was three when we gave him the nickname) we called him an old man. He was a really sweet bird. He never wanted me to go anywhere without him, and I nicknamed him my little Scootmin (his name was Scout) because he would just follow me around the house on foot and screech at me. I remember when I got him he stepped up right away and started chirping. His voice honestly sounded horrible, but I thought it was cute nonetheless. Whenever I would leave the room and not open his cage door, he would start making this crying sound (sort of like a dog whimpering, but higher pitched) until I came back. My brother called it his tragic monologue. I had to go live with my Nana due to family reasons and couldn't bring him with me. He died at age five due to a minor sickness I'd been pointing out for a while. I don't blame my dad for not taking him to the vet because it is really expensive and he didn't have the money for it, but it was still really terrible knowing that my little Scootmin died of something that could have been easily taken care of. I kind of feel guilty that I wasn't there when he passed away. Every time I visited he would act so energetic and sweet, and would follow me around as usual, and when I left he'd start doing his special call (a five tone whistle I taught him when I got him. If I couldn't find him, I'd do the whistle, and he'd usually respond to it) and his tragic monologue. I just feel like I could have spent more time with him before he went, and I'm worried he felt like I abandoned him when he was sick. I know it isn't my fault, but it's still hard to ignore thoughts like that. Rest in peace my little Scootmin. I hope you're stealing citrus spray millet from our rosellas in heaven my grouchy potato.
When I was 10, I had a pet beta, she lived for 2 years. I took really good care of her. I loved her so much too and when she died, we buried her and everyday for a week I would go to her grave and cry
That video with the dog slipping on the egg As someone that has a cattle dog I can vouch that they can and will slip on everything my dog sleeps on thin air😂
one time, we had a basket full of eggs sitting on the floor (from our chickens), and I looked under the table and there was an egg there- my dog had taken the egg out of the basket and just left it under the table lol and there weren't any cracks in it either-

The video of the dog getting hit on the head by his toy reminds me of the time I was playing soccer in the backyard and one of my dogs was in front of me, and when I kicked the ball it ended up hitting her butt. She turned around and looked at me, tilted her head, and made a confused sounding bark and walked away. I don’t think it hurt her, she was just confused on where the ball came from since she was looking away. I didn’t mean to hit her, she just happened to be in the way. Said dog loves playing soccer with me. She’s a great dog.
in the us (not in all the states but a good amount of them) its legal to have skunks and they can get deskunked (the smell gland removed) so they cant spray theyre cute but are nocternal
The whole egg thing and dogs actually really only works with retriever breeds in particular as they were bred to be gentle when handing killed prey, such as a duck, back to their owner.
Ya it was basicly a way to show off the soft mouth trait of the retriever breeds!
The trend started off with this in mind and was made with retrieving breeds but at some point it got twisted into "all dogs are gentle with eggs"
I tried it with my mastiff and it worked, but my Doberman smashed it and ate it
Even then, I've seen some retrievers who don't have much of that instinct and just immediately chomp down on the egg or drop it lol
My dad's dog Archer (English Cream golden retriever) recently had puppies and we did the egg test with her. She was careful with the egg, but she still had no idea what to do about the puppies-
She's always been clumsy, but I think since she had the puppies she's gotten worse-

The music 3:38 is from Donkey Kong Country SNES (:
