  • I WANT TO SEND YOU MY BEST RECIPES EVERY MONTH. cook.theelliot...
Truth be told, I get pretty tired of living in a digital world. Do you? I find myself hungry for community and the reality of life in the kitchen. There are many times I have to step away from the computer… step away from the phone… and get belly up to the stove. I’ll bring out my favorite cookbooks and flip through the tattered and stained pages to find inspiration and, even if it’s through the pages of a book, community. Recipes have a way of doing that. They connect us - as we use the same ingredients and follow the same instructions - and enjoy eating the fruit of our labors with others.
That’s why I want to invite you to join The Elliott Homestead Cooking Community. I want to share fresh recipes each month, directly from my homestead table to your kitchen.
You can choose to either join us as a digital member, in which you'll have access to a private, VIP members-only area of the blog where you can access the recipes, cooking instructional videos, and Q&A calls digitally, or as a physical-shipping member (USA only) where you can have everything listed above PLUS physical delivery of high-quality, printed recipe cards to your mailbox every month.
    WHAT DOES THIS SUBSCRIPTION INCLUDE?
    RECIPE CARDS
Each month, you’ll be sent five, printed, cardstock recipe cards. Recipes will range from entrees, to side dishes, to desserts, to breads, to breakfast, to vegetables and salads, to soups - and everything in between.
    MONTHLY LIVE STREAM
Each month, you can join me LIVE online. I’ll be cooking through a recipe or two from the month, troubleshooting tricky parts of recipes, sharing techniques and basic recipes, and answering any questions you may have - from food photography to kitchen gadgets, this will be our opportunity to talk!
    A COMMUNITY OF COOKS
My most treasured resources are those that cultivate a community. I draw great inspiration from watching what others are doing and celebrating in their victories! Our online community of cooks will be a place to gather together, dialogue about dishes, share menu plans and more.
    GUIDED RECIPE VIDEOS
As a cooking community member, you will also receive a guided recipe video each month that has been recorded and produced to help walk you through the recipes! It’ll be as if you were sitting at my kitchen counter and preparing some of the dishes with our family.
    WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
"I have been a homemaker for over 40 years and for the majority of those years I have been swimming upstream because I LOVE TO COOK and I believe in using whole, ethically-grown foods in season. I followed The Elliott Homestead for years after stumbling onto this blog while I was searching for real food blogs. Shaye (and Stuart) are the real deal! They live what they blog and this Cooking Community has been a wonderful experience getting to know others who believe the same things I do about food and life. If you are just learning how to cook or have been cooking for 40 years like me, you will love this Community! Stop what you're doing right now and join our tribe!"
"I feel empowered in the kitchen thanks to Shaye and her cooking community. There is never a silly question and there is nothing but support and love in this community. We are a group of home chefs who truly enjoy the company of each other and cooking delicious food."
"The cooking community has been a huge inspiration to me in my current phase in life. It has broadened my skills as a home cook and has allowed me to branch out and try meats and vegetables I never would have given thought to. The tutorials Shaye does each month allows us to see exactly how a recipe is performed, which is incredibly important for us cooks that learn in a 'hands on' approach. This cooking community has given me lifelong friends and the confidence to blow guest's socks off! This is real food cooked in a way that lets each ingredient shine. Thanks Shaye, for providing us with an amazing cooking community!"
    ABOUT THE COOKING INSTRUCTOR
Shaye Elliott is a passionate homecook and food blogger - if you’re looking for a formally trained chef, well, you certainly won’t find that here. Her greatest qualifications are an overwhelming love for real, delicious food and the large family that she feeds three times a day from produce, milk, and meat grown right here on their family farm in the Pacific Northwest. Even though Shaye loves tending to her gardens and milking her cow, a farm is certainly not necessary to enjoy such fantastic food. All that’s required is a love for good eating! Shaye’s dishes are designed to be simple, nutritionally-dense, and a joy to eat.

I have learned so many skills from this community. It has expanded my palette and pushed me past my comfort zone! Im so happy I joined 2 years ago! I was tired of buying cookbooks and only doing a few recipes out of them. My cooking community cards are used constantly!

I don't have the money to sign up rn however I want to say what a great idea! I love your videos and cooking style. I'm fairly active on RUclips and you are the only one I have found that presents living this way with clear quality content. I learn a lot from you and I feel encouraged to start my garden. (Grew up on a farm but my specialty was animal husbandry so I've been nervous and unsure about growing foods for ourselves.)

I started using dates that i cooked and blended. It creates a smooth sweet paste that is so versatile! My fave is to whip it with cream cheese and cocoa powder and vanilla. Makes something like a sweet chocolate mousse.

What a beautiful offering! I am creating a similar virtual community round table because for me the kitchen IS the place to connect and share and pass on rituals for intentional living. I live in an intentional community in Colorado and my friend/neighbor/farmer turned me on to you. I am so glad to be a part of this movement.

Shaye, I love your channel and appreciate your content. I was really interested until I saw the prices on your website. I was shocked. Hundreds of dollars for some recipes and videos? I think I will treat myself to a couple of new cookbooks and carry on...🥴😟

It's time and effort and creativity. The hours and hours that she and her husband put into producing these videos and products are worth something. If it isn't your cup of tea, why not just scroll on? Too much negativity in this world.

@@jodyparr5399 I get that, I just think they would get more customers and make more if the price was lower. I appreciate their talent, but I’m a homesteader too and most homesteaders are frugal by nature. If I got more recipes a month maybe, like a cookbooks worth, because that’s basically the cost.

    • @JenniferoftheSea
      @JenniferoftheSea 3 года назад

Yep. Not being negative, just honest. I'd be happy to consider it at a more reasonable cost. I love Shaye's content and channel.

@@jodyparr5399 her comment wasn’t negative at all. Content creators need to hear what the people want as we are their customer base. Her customers are telling her that they appreciate her work and would love to take part in helping themselves but also to help her business thrive but unfortunately cannot do to the price being a little extreme. That’s not negative and scrolling on wouldn’t help the channel figure out how to get more interested.

The elliots are very rooted in meat and animal byproducts. I would say no. I would recommend gittemary or sustainably vegan for simple yet good food.

@@cameronfamtube5992thanks. I am able to substitute milk but I want to know if its heavy on butter, cheese and cream. If a lot of the recipes call for it then it's probably not worth it. We dont eat processed foods so I dont substitute with dairy free options on those.
