Madhvacharya-Bhimana bande 2

This is a place near kalasa in chikkamagalur district. The rock which u can c here is "BHIMANA BANDE" & it is belived that this rock was lifted up by the famous Religious Reformer SRI MADHWACHARYA in his times. Bhima is one of his avatara's(forms) out of the three namely HANUMA, BHEEMA & MADHWA .Hence the name of the rock given so.The rock is encarved with acharya's image.

Just wanted to let know , rock is engraved with " Acharaya Madhva eka hasta mathra stapitha shila" meaning this entire rock was lifted by Madhva single hand and placed there.

I feel climbing on the sacred BHIMA BANDE AT KALSA and worshipping it is quite unfair. A stone which is considerd most sacred and told roopa manny diva dhany matmana to be worshiped without stepping on it.
