Also I had never understood the concept of 'Anumaana' until now, but you NAILED it in my mind. Thank you.

We were and are weak physically and mentally. Physically because there is nothing that unites India. We have no common language or a communication medium. We use a foreign language called English to communicate. From the mental point of view, we happily forgot our ancient wisdom generated from Veda's and Upanishad's.
The British and Muslims saw a weak India with great knowledge and material treasures and helped themselves.

Daily poojas were performed with highest bakthi . Apart from this the entire empire was destroyed . What God was doing , many peoples were killed , harmed , stripped , looted etc
02 How can we help poor with these philosophical thinking . When i compare with European and western we are really still in developing stage with many chronic problems . Then why should we concentrate on such philosophical thinking rather working strongly towards progress of country so that all peoples are rich at least basic requirements are fulfilled and happy

@@bhimraos2864 good points. What God was doing? the answer is god doesn't do anything he simply motivates people as per their kharma. Being in India doesn't automatically mean you should be protected by God. He doesn't do any bias. Satvic souls might be born in foreign country already. When you are commenting this message you may be Indian. In your next life if you are born as foreigner you might reply to your own comment in a different way (hypothetically).
God has given us intelligence and power to protect ourselves we should not sit behind closed doors praying god. We should fight keeping God in mind (this is the essence of Mahabharata). Krishna made Arjuna to fight bad evils. Indians dont learn lesson, many people fall In blind belief that God will help and they close eyes in this blind belief. This is dangerous to the country.
Philosophy is not understood properly by rich people so forget about poor. Rich have always and continue to exploit poor. This is unfortunate.
Philosophy can never be fully understood by reading books it is only through experience and God realization. So rich/poor/caste/gender doest matter.

  • @AlarteAscendare
    @AlarteAscendare 8 лет назад +1

Great effort, sir! Heartening to see that you have gained such elevated level of knowledge from the great Bannanje avaru.
With unalloyed intent to gain knowledge, there's one thing I would like to differ with you on - at 30:38 in the video, you mention Shrimadacharya says that the "Supreme Person IS the Universe". However, my atom-sized store of knowledge of Madhwa philosophy says that this is not the case. Shri Hari "manifests" as prakriti/ jada/ Universe but is not Himself the prakriti.
Indeed, every particle of matter, every bit of consciousness and every bit of everything there is in Creation and beyond, is His manifestation, however, from our own Madhwa philosophy, we know that there is a difference between jada and the Supreme Being, as encapsulated in the Pancha Bheda. In fact, even jeeva and jada are distinct, so there's no question of jada being the same as the Supreme Being.
Again, I question with an intent to clarify this doubt I have and not with any malific intent - anumaana, as Shrimadacharyaru would like to put it!
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Best,
    Shyamu

    People in Sweden ride motorcycle
    Women in Sweden ride motorcycle
The only statement I can infer according to theory of predicate logic is this:
    "Women are people."
How can it infer "All people are women"?

    • @dr.purnaprasad1179
      @dr.purnaprasad1179 10 лет назад

Excellent point. The intent was to show the limitations of logic in deciphering the truth or the ability of logic to cloud the truth. The statement 'people in Sweden ride motorcycles' includes the word all not some. I will intentionally add the word all going forward. Your take on that sentence proves the ambiguity logic creates.

At that point in the video, the speaker is talking about knowledge of I in the absolute sense, which only God has 'independently'. That is the key word. Every other being is getting this knowledge through Him and by His grace.
Currently we just have the knowledge of oneself as 'I', nothing more. But with our sadhana, we can reach a point where we can actually experience what the spirit 'I' is made of, which is actually same as oneself.
I don't have much knowledge on Sri Ramana Maharshi's explanation. So I cannot compare and contrast.

I is different from what Advaitins think. They think I is same as Brahman so there is only one I. But Madhwacharya said I is identity of jiva it remains even in moksha. Even Brahman has I. The only difference is he is independent and infinitely powerful while jivas are not and are dependent on Supreme. I existed since beginning of time and will remain eternally and cannot be merged or destroyed. Visistadvaitins say I in jiva will be merged with I of Brahman in moksha. So as per them you lose identity in moksha and become Brahman. This is the essence.

Vedanta has both knowledge of adwaita and dwaita.. the question you asked is asked by dwaita siddantas in a different way: If jeeva is God only then who is suffering in naraka or in samsara due to the bad karmas? If we say God then it cannot be..God do not have e dukkha but jeeva has dukkha..and God is punishing himself in naraka is confusing isn't ?
....If we say that dukkha jeeva is undergoing is illusion there is still a question left...Even if the jeeva thinks that the pain is illusion and aatma is Amanda swarupa (which is agreed in dwaita also) the suffering jeeva undergoing is real...Because you feel that suffering and you cannot say that aatma is not suffering....So aatma is both different from God but qualitatively same

    Asdhadfa,
Madhwa Philosophy is based on experiential evidence. Evidential experience is a completely different concept. It begs the question of what evidence and how was it obtained? The a-priori knowledge of a snake or a rope is essential to distinguish the presented visual from the mistaken one. Once the intellect answers the ambiguity of the mind, truth ensues.
Paramatma is the source for the Jiva's. Monopoly exists if there is competition. Paramatma has no competition. He is the only creator. Everything else is the created. If one claims himself or herself or itself as Brahma, then one should be self dependent, self sustainable, and self evolving. Everything in this universe needs an external stimuli or the absence of an external stimuli to exist in some shape or form. God has no shape, no form, all shapes and all forms. God exists in the quanta and the mega. Everything owes its existence to the supreme energy.

One can argue that we see dream in our mind's eye, but that is a very weak argument. Actually real/unreal is very ambiguous criteria for philosophical analysis. There is a lot of overlap between them. I find using permanent/transient as criteria is much better.

what if the knower , knowable and known are same for ex: me knowing about myself. So I am knowledge. If I myself is knowlegde what else do i need to know in this universe ? isn't this interesting ?

If the whole madhwa philosophy is based on the evidentail experience, then assume that a person sees the snake for the first time and is been thought that is a rope, now when ever he sees snake he thinks it is rope. Even though the person has seen snales several times and had experience with the real snake, if he still goes by his evicential experience, he will always be wrong. I guess there is a role of buddhi and aatma in percieving and interpreting anything u see or hear. wat do u say?

You have learnt and interpreted madhwa shastra well but without Gopichandana,Mudra and Angara Akshate dharane you will not get the complete fruit for your hardwork.

No.The Madhwacharya himself never wore Angara akshate. Wearing Angara akshate is only for decorative purposes which was used in yakshagana by Sri Narahari teertharu.

Temporary truth is a meaningless concept. Truth means always true. Can 2+2 =4 true sometimes and not true some times? That is, can we say 2+2 is 4 sometimes and it can also be 5 sometimes. It all depends on experience....We cant. Its illogical.

    Observations and opinion
    1) The speaker seems to be an NRI who tries to switch his english accent several times from Indian to fake Western and vice versa.
    2) He speaks nothing about science in depth but just uses some text book terms like gravity, newton law etc and attempts to connect madhwa tatwa with some technical terms which a doctor or medical rep uses.
    3) He just refers to the presentation every moment and elaborates the points vaguely. He seems to have no in depth knowledge of Madhwa Tathwa but has accumulated some scattered information from various discourses and tried to offer it to the NRI audience.
    4) Examples quoted are simply spontaneous and mostly irrational but the flow or language has eclipsed the subject and make it look sensible. Eventually it was just a talk more on Medical Science and general stuff than exploring madhwa tathwa. Just seems to have by-hearted a couple of Sanskrit verses and quoted.
    5) Unless a person is completely well versed in a subject it is not sensible to sit on a platform and give discourses.
Please refer to videos by Bannanje, Prabhanjanacharaya and our Madhwa Mutt pontiffs who are very specific, learned and can explore Madhwa shastra completely.
The subject in this video is incomplete, vague and simply a medical talk. Being an adrent follower or Madhwa Shastra, I feel this video is not connecting with the viewers.

This happens when someone thinks he has better knowledge than others...such people instead of appreciating they will make it look like sub standard content...
This happens... happens with people who have developed false ego on the basis of their knowledge
      This happens....

I agree to all opinions. Videos like this will give opportunities for non madwaites to criticize. In depth knowledgeable gurus like Dr Bannanje is only eligible to give perfect discourses.
However let's acknowledge the honest effort made by this gentleman which is not to gain any popularity like our evil politicians. Everyone is a learner and all have some defects but our intelligence should be to filter defects and grasp useful essence.
