Glad there was no scrappers. Glad you brought the 86 it's a special truck
Hubcaps Tim . Thanks for sharing . Good stuff !!! God bless you!!!! Eddy
Love the Chevy transformation! The grill and hubcaps bring it up beautifully, beats the wagon type wheels any day. Thanks for great content, as per usual👍
Agree about the caps and steelies and yes, another excellent video. Those grills are $$ if a guy has to buy one. The chrome was peeling off mine so I took all the loose off and hit it with some black rattle can. A good look for around two dollars
I really like how you know your cars. There was a time I knew all the cars models and years. About 1980 I lost it.
Looks like you got the best truck there. I think that the original wheels and caps look better.
Hey Steve, did my email show up?
@@Marius_vanderLubbe I'm Dan, not Steve.
@@danielulz1640 Sorry Dan. Did I also post you an email address on here?
@@Marius_vanderLubbe not that I have seen.
No problem, we all dial a wrong number once in a while.
I like the original hubcaps Mr. Goodpliers.
Color matching, very cool. Hubcaps for me. Glad to see you got it.
The blue 62 grain truck with sign on the doors, somebody wanted that one really bad at $4k.
I like the look on the drivers side with the Chevrolet hub caps. You got a great deal man. Ausome truck.
You may well have picked up the deal of the whole auction w/ this one! I too like your transformation and, in this case, go w/ the hubcaps. As long as you have the wheels and caps anyway, it really is a nice vintage look. Go with it!
I vote for the stock caps!
It is a shame that you are finding all these auctions that people never get to work , enjoy, or sell them and enjoy some of the years of work that these people have been saving for decades of their lives. God bless you and their family and have a good morning this morning.
That pick up will make you a nice flip. Thanks for sharing! 💯👍
You for sure got the buy of the day, that truck cleaned up will bring big money
I think the hubcaps look far better!
love your intelligence about classic cars , very informative thanks kurt...
best truck for sure. and my vote goes for the steel wheels and hubcaps. great find.
I'd suggest the aluminum hubcaps on steel wheels. I've always been more of a fan of hubcaps and it helps protect the lugnuts and threads better than open to elements.
Especially in places where they use road salt in winter
C30 was very well bought, nice truck. Similar to my 73 C30 that has the single rear wheels. I got a set of aluminum dog dish caps from one of our fellow cruisers here. My truck was a cab and chassis that they put a Stahl utility box on. I like it as it’s not any wider than the cab. I like the steelies with caps on the big truck and like the wagon wheels more on a small truck like my 87 Ranger
You got the best truck there. Keep the hubcaps
The good thing about crank windows is that they usually always work no matter how old.
little oil, wd 40 doesnt hurt before trying, but agree ,manual windows great
@@jeffclark2725 ,
Exactly.
@@freedomforever6718 Yes, me too on the manual windows..although a power passenger window is nice when you need to roll it down a little to talk to someone outside, without having to scoot across the seat to roll it down..they are a pain when they fail, tough..usually down position when it's raining. I always wished they would have included a manual crank backup/override with power windows in case you needed it...
I like them on non-running project vehicles especially - dead battery, no problem
Agreed, I’m not a fan of power windows
Thanks for meeting the winning bidders and asking what the plans for the vehicles were. They will have a chance. It hurts to watch the scrap man win with so many great parts still on the cars and trucks.
Good Finds Buddy. Love the Pontiac Wagon
its just amazing the difarance between what would sell here in Canada and in the United states?? that pontiac is in WAY better shape then we could find here so I think it would stand a chance here?? I do know as a TRANS AM freak that 455 is a very desirable engine and getting harder to find..
That engine here in Kansas is worth more than what the car sold for no matter what code the block is for.
Keep the steel wheels with dog dish caps! Those old 427 tall deck truck engines was a steal!
I prefer the spoke wheel look on the truck you bought. Thanks for taking us along with you !
Mr. B. Here ! Very cool old iron ! That Pontiac wagon & car great fines ! Hope got something to your liking.
my plowtruck here in western NY is an '84 K30 single wheel, the poor this is so rusty I strapped a 5 gallon paint thinner can to the passenger door for a fuel can,but the old girl runs great and pushes snow like a champ!
you got the best deal of the day
Great buy on the truck!👍
Keep everything original, including wheels, for sure!
Love the 65 Catalina Station. I own a 65 Bonneville Convertible and a 65 Catalina 2 d HT. Unfortunately the car seems to far gone.
There's a few cool projects there!!😍👍👍
Nice catch ! Stock caps definitely.
At least they parked that big check grain truck inside so the wood is intact my '65 Ford was other way around. Family parked the cab inside and left wood body outside.
Was a factory Ford body. Every board on the bottom side had ford oval burned into them.
I really like the two-tone paint jobs for that era pickup. Gotta go with the factory wheel 🛞 covers.
The Siverado in the barn looks very promising indeed. I would be tempted by that.
Nice score! Hopefully it'll run.
I love that truck. I had a 78/454, and I loved the combo. I would stay with the stock wheels and the caps. I loved the blue Chevy c60 with the signage on the door, as well as the green 1953? Chevy. It looked like it had a later engine installed. Even with the 235, it would have been a great buy. People complained about those old 216 engines, but a buddy and myself, drove the crap out of one and it never let us down. I was a little surprised that the 63 SS convertible went for $15,000.
Hmmmm, I like the "dig bowl" wheel covers.
I think the Chevy Silverado was a smoking deal for $900. I like the stock look all around. It's a good-looking truck.
Wow that Chevy truck look really changed. Missing the grill was making it look ugly, like it trashed and only parts truck, but with that grill installed now it looks good enough to be a fix and drive project. Personaly I like it with the stock original wheels with caps on the drivers side. A good wash is needed.
Few nice bits there.
Love the truck
Good save.
I like the hubcaps on that single wheel 1 ton save those wagon spokes for another truck ! Like that’ll GMC at the very beginning Daddy had one with a V6 four-speed stepside long wheel base it was that strange pink coral color ! 15,000 for that SS wow ! I remember that auction you went to with the 59 impala convertibles and the 50eights were going astronomical on the prices who’d have thunk ?!
Awesome truck. Great price, too. Well done !
Always great to follow along on your acquisitions. I want your job! I vote for the stock Aluminum hubcaps. I'm tired of those white wagon wheels... everybody had 'em back in the day. ....
My buddy had a 1976 c/20 chevy Suburban. We went to alot of rock n roll events in that rig
The stock hubcaps are the best imo 😊
The 65 Bonneville: The white interior was called "parchment". My 65 Convertible has a parchment interior with bucket seats,.
Now at the end I see that you were not only tempted but committed.
Great buy on the Chevy p/u. Original caps, for sure! ('never liked those wagon wheel rims (coming from a guy who worked for American Racing equip, back then!))
6:25 Chevrolet and GMC trucks used the same colors as they where built on the same assembly line and went thru the same paint booth. 9:19 The Bonneville was built in Pontiac Mich. which didn't strike in 1972. The 1972 strikes were Lordstown and Norwood that affected Vega, Camaro and Firebird production.
Stock please stock wheels. I'm so glad you got it please get it going to drive whe don't have trucks like that in Central Ohio they're all gone from the rust. That truck is bad ass.
I'm from Georgia...not that many here, either, and people want a mint for very rough ones...we need to "import" some of these Western trucks to East of the Mississippi before they are gone there, too...
I like the hubcaps
$100 for that 79 mustang was a great buy, there is a lot you could do with that. Probably a 4 cyl car but you have a great platform for a race car.
Nice video
Looks like you got the deal of the day!!
Great 86...voting for steelies with factory caps! New grill looks good. Can you do a follow up on that 64 SS if you know where that went?
Been there... back in 88. Neat area.
Good buy. Stock caps
The stuff you guys call rusty there in Missouri cracks me up. I dont even live in the rust belt and most of that looks pretty good compared to cars that have been sitting that long here.
Thank you for the video 😊
Thank you
Great buy on the pickup , keep the stock wheels and hubcaps . 6 mpg is normal but them it's a real bbc and they love gas . It'll make a great trailer toter . 64 SS convertible sale price in my opinion was too high ??? The big tandem 427 truck sold really cheap , too bad I wasn't there as I would have bought it for sure . Great video .
The 64 Impala appears to have quite a bit of rust. Convertibles are noted for floor delete along with quarters and rockers
"It's worth 40 in Cali as is!" Someone walked with a bargain!
The market is very hot on these cars right now
That car needs tons of work to be anywhere near 40k. rusty doors, quarters, probably floorboards, rockers, bottom of fenders. I see 25k in body/paintwork alone and i do this for a living. Anyone that would pay over 12k for that car in that condition is nuts. Just go buy one for 30-40k that is in good condition and save yourself the headaches.
When I bought my 73 C30 I took it to the Golden Cruise and a half dozen guys wanted to buy it
caps sir good content
Go with the facTory hubcaps buddy. They look much better. Great video
Wheel and hub caps all the way
Another farm and farmers lost because no one wants to carry on what this country was built on.Its a shame. Real estate people love it.
Good buy on big block p/up. Always a market for big engine "business" trucks
More rare than the usual 350/350 combo we usually see in these trucks. My 73 is a 350 but has the SM465 granny 4 speed
Stock wheels & caps. Looks like you had the right Plan.
Hi tim good score on the chev an stock wheels . Cheers mate🇦🇺
Someone IMPAL-ed their bank account to get that 64 SS. So much work. Hope it’s worth 80 large at the end, otherwise a passion project.
It's worth double and a little more . 15k was a steal.
nice truck timi like the hub caps best would have loved that white pontiac don’t get many of them over here in the uk
You mean the 1965 Catalina?.......or was that that the Bonneville?
the bonneville love the shape and those headlights
Keep the stock wheels with the caps on. The vehicle looks better like that.
Been watching for a truck like this to come up. Not in the budget right now and that one is too complete and original for what I works do.
Original hub caps allways!
That old camper special is nice
Aluminum caps stock is very cool
Get some 24 inch spinners on that rig,
What the hey !
definitely a 366. i dont think you could get a 427 in a c/60.but anyways the hood only has 1 side scoop which means 366. the 427 tucks had one on both sides.
That was good prices on trucks here in alabama they go for more plus if they set here That long there rust bucket
Yep...seems to be true anywhere east of the Mississippi...
CAPS. I was hoping you would have bought the wagon or the Bonny.. Great video
That's an excellent score on the C30! Really, it'd be pretty hard to go wrong on that one. I guess I see the price point on that 64 convertible, just not willing to go there myself.
Kinda surprised you didn't do the 65 wagon.
I would have bid on this junky 65 wagon. Actually I need another project as much as a third leg. Maybe living in Switzerland prevents me from buying even more projects than I already have. But those cars are rare by now and I bet if you part it out you would get your money back easily. It is a wonderful piece of yard art if you like this kind of thing.
There was one for sale for over a year in California with an intact body for about 3500$.
I am still astonished no one bought it for that long. Silly people only buy shiny junk I guess.
well bought truck mmm big block , hub caps yes , if it were mine it would be factory rally s if they fit a 1 ton
Stock caps, for sure!
Hub caps all the way
Hubcaps. Thats the look i like. But not sure whats hot in your area for buyers preferences!
Old chev split window, push button door handle 52 or 53 think 53
The VIN on my C30 decodes as C20; I wonder if Tim’s truck does the same
U got the 'whats a few gallons between friends truck'...
Great video, always enjoy coming along on your adventures, some of those vehicals, lots of critters in them, was Adventures made from Scratch gonna be there?
Ran when parked makes me laugh every time
The guy who bought the Impala will need to be doing his own bodywork and paint if he plans on selling it for a profit.
I'm glad you got that truck I was thinking I would have went to 1500$
True, even not running and no title
My 86 has been a real workhorse. gettin time for a engine freshen up but it still hauls better than a cord a load 10 times a year. best truck ever made except the steering column sucks.
Fortunately there are guys who rebuild these columns
cows been doin body work on the poncho ...lol
I like the hub caps better
Leave it stock
