    Awsome to hear you guys mention the Original Barber-Greene model 79 finisher. That machine started this industry world wide . Its basic design and functons continue in all paver/ finishers built today. Thanks for mentionng it Cat!

    What is the difference between the paver with the tracks vs the one with the large wheel in the middle?

      Tracks has more pushing balls and i guess the wheeled one can go in tighter areas.

    What is the average time to asphalt one kilometer or mile?

    • @CatPaving
      @CatPaving  4 года назад +3

      Hello! Paving speed depends on the material being laid, how thick you are laying it and which screed you are using. An average paving speed for a Cat(r) AP655F paver is 25 meters per minute when using a tamper bar screed and 64 meters per minute when using a vibratory screed. Vibratory screeds are used mainly in North America while tamper bar screeds are used in the rest of the world. Please visit Cat.com to learn more about our line of Asphalt Pavers. - Amanda
