I swapped the icepicky Burstbuckers out of my 04 Standard a few years after i bought it. Put in Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers after some recommendations and I fell in love with them such a huge improvement.
Those OX4s sound great for thrash playing, lots of edge but not a lot of sweetness, and will totally cut through a mix. The Mojos seem to have a more vintage blend of warmth and clarity. Nice work!
#OX4 makes a #Slash A5 Pickup and a #Page A2/A5 Pickup that aren't on their website. #OX4 has a Low Wind A4 Pickup that is highly regarded. #Dan from #TPS uses them in a Gibson #LesPaul 1958 R8. #OX4 has a generic humbucker that can be configured any way you like...Windings, Magnets, Covered, Bobin Colors, etc.. Also consider upgrading the wiring loom (pots and caps). #Montys
Tend to agree with you overall, I have 0X4's in my '07 Goldtop, they have good note bloom and cut through without being harsh... but tone is in the ears of the beholder... 🎵r0ck0n 🎵

Sounds good! I've never played the Seth lovers, what kind of voicing is the pickup (hi or lo turn?)
I love how much went into making this, I know changing those pickups out 4 different times in of itself is exhausting. I appreciate this
The guitars where fitted with the pickups already, there wasnt any soldering done in between the comparisons. Each pickup set was in its own LP
Awesome video as always
@@Yayeet3000 thank you!

@@kennypro5128 yea I agree! The Gibson and mojotone are more vintage voiced and slightly tamer
As per my previous comment, the box you show is from mojo in the UK not mojo tone in the US. Two different companies. @@squealingpigguitars2438
I voted custombuckers in your poll but I think I’m an OX4 guy now after this. Man they’re some great looking guitars in this vid
I’m a OX 4 camp too!!
Thanks for watching @danielryan2825 - yea it’s a Gibson fanboys dream this video! The ox4s sound amazing and the double cream look is the best
never thought id hear the A tout le monde solo like this but it sounded absolutely amazing! 🤩
Thanks man!! I hope you enjoyed the comparison 🤟
8 Bomb Custom Pickups is the Answer!
Wrong Mojo.
That box is from UK Mojo pickups, not the American Mojo Tone.

Thanks for your comment! I’ll make sure to look into them if I make a 2nd comparison 🤟
DiMarzio super distortion. The best pickup ever made.
EMG!!!! I know everyone hates me!
They say Bare knuckle are pretty sick

@@tooManywaystoFall nice one man! Yes the OX4s just have something special about them
In a mix you wouldn’t hear he difference.
@@xtravyx1 I can hear a difference. In the mix test the ox4 and slash cut way more. The custombucker and mojotone are more tame
OX4! It's not even close
@@joe_stepik yea the OX 4 pickups are on another level
Seymour Duncan Antiquities pickups are the best of the best
The best humbuckers for Les paul are made by Gibson! 😜
