Just did these exact mods to my 701 2 weeks ago. Runs absolutely amazing now and she scoots. It was a pain in the arse to install though and put a decent dent in my bank account. But worth it if your keeping the bike. Mine ran like shit without the tune. Cant wait for your review!

Moving along. Let me recommend the vanashe gas cap. Bent my key one day and had to bend it back to get it started. Never again.

Not bad, but instead of a jumper wire and heat shrink, they should have included a proper connector with the jumper built in.
Awesome video man! I saw that you removed the exhaust baffle, isn't it causing a lack of power (specially at the higher revs) due to the lack of back pressure? When I removed the baffle from my Arrow exhaust on my 690 it significantly reduced the power at the high rpm's 🤔

Its gonna be a beast with this kit! Im very curious to the sound though, should be doable i hope! The intake is connected with a rubber hose and is hidden under the seat so it should be not too loud
Not gonna gain alot of hp, but definitely the feel in the seat will tell another story. With a lil bit more punch from a freed up intake.
That sure is a lot of shiz they put on the bikes to comply with emissions. I'm so glad my YZ came with none of the bs but would be banned on the street in many states.
You do gain some horsepower, but the biggest difference is the power and torque gain is mostly in the low and mid range, which is where it makes this bike so fun to ride. I did all the same mods to mine and it was like a whole different bike.
You go up to about 83hp I have the dyno sheets but the big foam filter ain’t as good as the air box mod funny enough as it swaps mid range for high range

A question on the air filter.
A friend of mine had a 690 with the Rottweiler air filter setup. One day he asked me if he could borrow my KTM 690 Ergo seat to see how it felt.
I rode over there and we swapped seats and went for a ride. When we got back we swapped seats again and I noticed there was air filter oil all over the bottom of my seat that was on his bike.
It appears that there is no clearance between the top of the air filter and the bottom of the seat which makes me wonder how much effective filter area is actually available.
Have you seen any contact (filter oil on the seat pan) between the filter and the seat on your installation?
I am wondering if he has something a bit off on his installation.
Looks like some nice mods , I’ll be getting my Termignoni exhaust and modded air box plate and reflash tomorrow on my 698 mono ,extra horsepower and getting things light weight is never cheap!👍🫡

Sell the MT-07 and get a KTM 990 duke. You won't regret it. I have an 890R and am eyeing the 990.
Man I know the wr250r is slow as a turd in water.. but I really like it. My r1 wants to send me to the booty warrior. The wr just wants me to go anywhere I want
lol But the WR250r is bulletproof, most reliable bike on the planet that can go anywhere. Cops love the superbikes, will tail you and wait for you to speed. You see I haven't been bothered by cops since I got rid of my super bikes. lol. I've even wheelied past a cop on my supemroto once and they didn't bother me.

Expensive mods for a couple hp gains

🤣 They say about 10 hp gain which is significant. I love that it removes some more weight and less bs on the bike. It amazes me that all the bs they out on a bike these days to make it emissions compliant which seems to get more strict every year, eventually, we'll all be forced to ride electric vehicles only so enjoy the combustion engines while you can.

Did you remove the baffle? I'm asking because whem I removed mine, the power at the high rpm's reduced significantly. I wonder how it can be fixed 🤔
I have one fitted and it don’t work without mine Europe version but you deffo need one with the baffle out you shouldent loose any top end in about 4mph off 130mph
Us version is EU4 so it works. Still an ecu flash is way better

@@user-fh4qe9yn2u I think euro 5 is like 22 above they have a new style of dash but I don’t find it as nice as the 2020 one all they added is a rev counter I believe why you need that on a supermoto is beyond me 😂

Another 690/701 taken by the crappy Rottweiler intake... KTM tuners in Austria wouldn't touch it with a stick. And stop raving about "insane power" when these bikes are proven to gain about 3% maxHP and 10-15% maxTorque on the dyno with a proper ECU flash, not some rinky-dinky, canned PC tune.
Agreed. These bikes only run great with a proper ecu flash. No piggybacks solve its emissions problem
I can never understand someone taking an expensive, engineered product and doing this backyard BS to it. You have destroyed the intake resonance and removed pollution controls. Troubleshooting in the future will be a difficult now that it is no longer stock.
Factory settings are aimed for efficiency and the environment. Basically nothing that is improving sound or performance.
So in a way, this does makes sense, unless you hug 🌳 🌳
