Thank you for these tutorials! I have wanted to make an autumn arrangement with my artificial fall leaves, but didn't know what to do with them. They will make great Shin and Soy for my mostly orange Imari vase. I haven't chosen the flowers yet, but I'm thinking about something yellow. 👍😄🍁🍁🌻

Thank you so much 先生! As a teacher myself (but in foreign languages) I can really say you are a fabulous teacher : you are really talented at explaining things step by step with patience, benevolence and encouragement. The way you explain the reason for doing this or that is very valuable : I'm that kind of person who needs to understand the reasons and aims behind a rule, I just can't follow a rule blindly, I need to understand, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here ^_^. I'm so happy I've discovered your videos ! They are also really welcome in these times when all cultural institutes are closed. Can't wait to start practising ikebana thanks to you!

Hi Carol, thank you for your kind words.
Not only in teaching, but for every communication, I always think of who has a burden of proof. Especially these days, it is becoming all the more important to think about what to do to make yourself understood by the other party.
As teachers, let's keep on trying our best!

This is the best of any instructional video on Ikebana I've seen. I especially like this style of flower arranging as the finished bouquet radiates peace, calmness and tranquility to the viewer. I have only a few flowers and shrub branches available to me from my yard year around, and this is a perfect combination of art and beauty for me to enjoy. Thank you

      Hi Judy,
Thank you for your kind words. You don't need many flowers. Space between two branches is also an important factor for Ikebana. Please enjoy the flowers all year round!

Normally you simply cut from the same branch that you use for your arrangement. You might want to keep it if that works for you.
