This is the best of any instructional video on Ikebana I've seen. I especially like this style of flower arranging as the finished bouquet radiates peace, calmness and tranquility to the viewer. I have only a few flowers and shrub branches available to me from my yard year around, and this is a perfect combination of art and beauty for me to enjoy. Thank you

It depends upon the flowers. Some last only a couple days, some last over a week. Of course you can use synthetic flowers, but real flowers have their own charms!

Normally you simply cut from the same branch that you use for your arrangement. You might want to keep it if that works for you.
Im glad you use Japanese words and names and stick to tradition after all the ikebana was created by a zen monk who composed ikebana for the Buddha
