The lady has a fantastic voice, her diction is crystal clear & she sings it with so much passion, emotion & individuality. But if only she did scream like how Deep Purple scream that would have been the icing on the cake.

This interpretation has a beautiful, melancholy feel. It's certainly quieter than the original masterpiece, as acoustic versions intrinsically are. Like some other commenters here, I was waiting for the characteristic "scream" but it never came. No doubt, our expectations are flavoured by our familiarity of the the original version and so we can't help feeling a bit disappointed. A powerful, desolate scream would have been very effective and would have added a great contrast in this otherwise understated representation. It's a shame they didn't capitalise on it because it sounds like she might have the ability to do it. Gillan is one of those vocalists that has a rather high pitched voice that is relatively easy for women (who can sing) to emulate. Still, kudos for taking on one of the most revered and classic rock tunes ever!

This is an absolutely fabulous version of the song. I really loved the guitar work from both players and also a fantastic singer. I really like the way the the acoustic mood shifts to more of a rock sound. There's great dynamic and variation in this sign in my opinion. Really well done better in my humble opinion than the original
