That Derry panel was really strong, surprised they didn’t win at least one more All Ireland title. But it shows how strong Ulster football was during this time.
As a Kerryman, I was supporting Derry, as they'd not won it it, it was novel. The last All-Ireland Final with the old Croke Park, in which I preferred, way more atmosphere compared to the corporate, prawn and cocktail pacified stilt it is now. Hill 16 is still decent, but not a patch on the 1993 Hill 16. Look at s the colour, those airhorns and klaxtons. There had not been any cour nor atmosphere since it then, that's 30 year's ago. Way better atmosphere back then. People are too pampered and too well off nowadays to get anyway passionate. That's the problem.
Last big capacity crowd for the creaking & swaying old Cusack stand, as demolition work would commence the following day. Place seemed a bit dangerously overcrowded. Hard to envisage now what the old stadium looked like
I would recommend uploading Donegal v Dublin 2014 don't know why it was taken down again it was up only a few weeks ago and a few Tyrone Donegal matches
Could I recommend uploading the 1999 Meath vs Cork All Ireland Football Final Full Coverage the last time Meath brought Sam back to The Royal County also could you also upload Cork vs Mayo All Ireland Football Final 1989 Full coverage too the year Mayo appeared in their first since 1951 please if you have them somewhere
I seen this too, I think ppl flee it because corks nickname is the rebels and the confed flag is the rebel flag, Most ppl back then wouldn’t have known the negative connotation behind it
Rest in peace Teddy and Mick Mccarthy 😢
And John Kerins
The sideline where all the fans are sitting down would be a part of the pitch now because the new Cusack stand was built a good bit further back
One thing I wish that was present nowadays were the flags ,

I would recommend uploading Derry v Donegal 2002, it was played in a near empty Clones because of the World Cup game and was broadcast on RTE

Edward O Grady looked a bit wedged in the canel end.
It was bulldozed down the following day

Johnny McGurk kicked the two most important points of the match, coming up from half-back
Up Derry
Awful referee decision to send off Tony Davis
Yeh he was making up for the earlier decision, and I am a Derry fan
Very poor although you can’t say that without also saying Niall Cahalane should’ve been sent off.
Who here because they won 2022 ulster final?
Me

The referee really was absolutely terrible !
Shocking decision to send Tony off, ruined the game
Cahalane boxed Enda Gormley in the face and didn’t even get booked? It was karma
When I saw the Confederate Flag, I flipped.
Early
1st
Why did they fly the Confederate Flag? Deeply insulting to most Americans.
It doesn't have anything to do with supporting the confederacy, only because cork are known as the 'rebel county.'
@@GustavofLPH Burn that flag. Fuck the Confederacy and their descendants.
My ancestors from Ireland fought for the Union. Get rid of that Confederate Flag shit.
I seen this too, I think ppl flee it because corks nickname is the rebels and the confed flag is the rebel flag, Most ppl back then wouldn’t have known the negative connotation behind it
Why are they flying Confederate flags? Does it mean something different in Ireland? In the US, it's a symbol fraught with division.
Na Cork fans have always flown it along with a bunch of other national flags with red and white. Means nothing
Cork are know as the Rebels thats the Link
Just cork fans having to do things that little bit different like
tecphobe rebels need hole they only had one proper rebel & they went & shot him
Typing error, rebels ‘me’ hole i meant, although I imagine rebels do actually need their hole too
