To me, the ONLY upgrades Cs2 has compared to GO is the graphics. There are more cheaters, less maps, less content, more bugs, doesn't feel as snappy or consistent as GO. Etc. This game to me is such a step back
and because the community split forced them to make CSGO better to get players from 1.6 and Source to play go. Numbers were atrocious at launch. took them 2 years to get people to join.
@@gaustafr8905 I can make the case that since fewer people are giving the devs feedback concerning CS2, or it's just more of the same, there probably hasn't been much motivation to work on it quite like other titles they got in store (or even TF2 for that matter). But then again, we never know what Valve might do next.
There is no case to be made, there is enough feedback on small channels that understand the backside of what we see on screen. Valve has a policy of not comunicating so they can scrap projects without the pressure of deadlines and community. Took them 2 years to make CSGO playable, we still have one year left.
I'm just wandering, how is this even possible, along with those wallbang noscopes across the map?? I wonder what kind of hack they'll manage to perform next 🤣
Uhh did you not know that was a thing in CSGO as well? At the end of the games life it was nerfed, but you could still manipulate the shots, at most 2 bullets in one shot if I recall on certain weapons like aks or slightly faster with autos (didn't work on scouts/awps anymore). And around the beginning when that tick exploit was discovered before any nerfs you could instant plant and defuse bombs, instant reload, instant switch weapons, dump all rounds of any gun in one shot, teleport a certain distance, etc. Common hack in a lot of games btw this isn't something only restricted to cs
@@Starchaser38 Generally I think what you're talking about is referred to as "magic bullet". It differs between games the way it's achieved but one way is if there's no server sided checking implemented you'd just tell the server I did x damage to y person. In CS2 if I recall they were manipulating the camera location to be under the map then shooting at players to achieve this
I saw a clip that Warowl shared during the beta of someone getting banned live and the match being cancelled. I really thought the anticheat would stay consistent. I hit up old friends and we were ready to hop back on CS, because it was the cheaters that drove us away in the first place. Found out soon enough, everything feels slightly off; the only thing that remained like the good old days was the rampant cheating.
Well I'm sorry but I have a very sad thing to tell you : I had this happen two times, saying that there was a cheater in MY team, the twist : we are a 5 stack and i know them all, none of them are cheaters. In fact, of all the members of the team, it's the worst who got banned. I mean, not banned, we just all got a 24 hour ban, but still. My point is that this is the most inconsistent thing I've ever seen. It stopped two matches, and it was because of a friend who had no cheats (smurfing included) at all... Edit : We all got the 24 hour ban, but it is specified in the description if you're the reason of the ban or if it's a member of your team. Also even if you complain by submitting a ticket to Valve, they will say that VAC bans are definitive and you can't say anything about it.
I feel an underrated part that not many people talk about was the different factions being removed. I loved being able to play as FBI or Anarchists or just some other faction than Phoenix and SAS. Added depth to the map tbh
THIS! I was in a discord call with a friend who started in CS2, never playes GO. I saw these and made a comment, he was like: "what? those aren't in CS"... I had to explain to him and show him on the wiki cuz woww.
All of this was done purposefully by valve so that you're forced to buy their shitty custom player models that they sell... How can you make a NEW game that has much less variety and content than the previous one? It was obviously a marketing decision from the greedy bastards at valve.
Absolutely. I loved having specific factions for each map because it added a narrative to said map, like the anarchists holding up inside an office building or local SWAT responding to a bomb threat in Vertigo.
At this point, CS2 really needs a petition that Nick Bunyun did for CS:GO. I think a lot of content creators should team up and make Valve listen. Get ready for 1 year anniversary patch notes: - Happy birthday CS2 - Added new Music Kit - Fck you and goodbye
And the music kit is going to be a "deadlock music kit, to support our new game -Valve" to advertise their new game. If this actually happens I will uninstall cs2.
''go play faceit'' is such a weak argument when the cheaters on faceit have also skyrocketed, with faceit staff deciding to close their eyes to all reports and say nothing is wrong
CS2 has become the a Gamling Game with shooter mini game in it, Valve doesn't care one bit as long as it prints them what? 400 million dollars a month in cases and keys and when your primary function is to sell NFTs, the slight bit about some cheating in the mini game shooter is a non-issue...
@@chasebeaversThe bots are part of the business ecosystem they've created. I'm quite sure it wasn't what they intended at first, but they probably were a welcome surprise to Valve when they saw the profits.
it has become a cheating simulator with a big gambling site, thats it. Can hardly call it an FPS anymore. We are considering dropping hosting local cs2 tournaments because people simply don't play anymore.
Man idc if few people played the other gamemodes like arms race, retakes, flying scoutsman and shit i loved those :((( plus i miss all the other default CT and T factions
@@hahayes1122 Completely wrong. It would need only a few lines of code to detect most cheats on the server. AI will do nothing. AI has an inherent error rate which you cannot have in an anticheat. It's the reason why there are false bans currently.
I dont even blame the 5 devs that are still working on CS2. Im sure they are doing their best and everything. But the CS2 launch, as you said, was one of the biggest fumbles I've ever seen. The fact that Valve didnt have entire groups of devs to throw at every single bug is wild to me. They should have had multiple groups of anticheat people work on vac, with overwatch ready to go from the start. They should have had an army of investigators and lawyers ready to be let loose against cheat-devs. Hell, maybe even throw in a few irl hitmen for some spice. "We'll focus on the core gameplay first" is a valid path for a two man team developing their passion project. When you have one of the biggest PC games in the world, that just doesnt fly. And thats ignoring the fact that they havent even fixed the core gameplay.
Valve don't care about the cheaters in CS2 for the same reason they didn't care during CSGO. People are addicted to the gambling and that's a huuuuge revenue stream, and the cheaters also happily buy new accounts when there is a very rare ban wave. While people blindly hang on and put money into this garbage nothing will change, either enough players boycott and hit their revenue stream or the clown show continues.
@@vincentprime740yes are acting like a child. The devs are just workers. You think they can sell the game if they want? Hell they probably can’t even work on what they want.
they are making deadlock with portal and HL rumored to have their 3rd games in production... They dont even have much staff in valve. they dont need any. Their 2 online games cs and dota dont need much updates. if anything too many updates will ruin the winning formula. Should they have delayed cs2? maybe but I am willing to bet they wanted to ship it out in order to go fulltime on their new games. Lets not forget the trash launch CSGO had. Just relax and be patient.
The reason I play Valorant instead of CS is the absence of good casual modes. It is impossible to have a good casual match in CS. It is a chaotic 10v10 where 1/3 of players are spam bots. And, yes, some of the active players are cheaters...
I haven't played CS2. Did they seriously not add a 5v5 casual? Probably my biggest gripe with CSGO. 10 man casual was complete aids, and it played so different from proper competitive as to be useless as a 'casual mode'
Don't forget about the high number of case farming bots, especially ever since Valve disable xp for prime user in non-prime server 3 months ago. Now all the case farming bots has to move to prime server and ruin experience for players that paid $15 for prime. Casual Dust 2 is full of chinese bots with 200+ ping, deathmatch has bots that move around the map, act like a normal players but stop moving when someone is spectating them. There's so many bots in Asia server and some of the empty region like Australia and South Africa.
South African here, 100% true. I get kicked within 2 mins of joining a Dust 2 DM server. I have sent emails(s) to the cs2 team, but nothing. I sent screenshots, links to profiles the works. No word.
What "prime server" or "non-prime server"? You could only ever get XP for prime accounts in official servers since the start of CS2. It was like this in CSGO as well.
@@white5866 If you queue with friends that don't have prime you automatically play in "non-prime" server, same with competitive. Back in cs:go there's an option to play unrank match, but this option is gone in cs2. So the only way to play unrank match is if you queue with a friend that does not have prime. At the start of cs2 you can still gain exp in an unrank match, but Valve update this without telling the community, so now there's almost no point in playing with your friend that does not have prime since you won't get any exp anymore.
the company made it clear that they support Ukraine and i'd say about 20% of their players live in Russia... and at 10 seconds that thing also is perfect showing the situation for Ukraine

@@TheRUclipsUser69 yes it does! Specially in valve. As a valve employee you can work at everything you want. You don’t have a fixed position or role on any title. You can theoretically work on Monday to Wednesday on cs2 and Thursday on tf2(this never happens) and Friday on deadlock. And nobody in valve is questioning what you are doing
As a TF2 player of 11+ years, it unsettles me deeply when TF2 got more attention this summer from Valve than CS. We are living in the weirdest timeline RN.
Did tf2 get an actual update or just the standard cosmetics/ localisations/ maps update? Because people have said things like that so many times over the past few years, I can't help but take this comment with a few pinches of salt.

@@user-xg5jt3vs4q It was good before csgo. OG cs was so much fun back in the day and source despite its issues remained fun for a long time before csgo drew a large portion of the playerbase away and the community servers for source stagnated heavily.
i remember telling my friends when source 2 was announced that it will take 2 years of bug fixes and another year for content parity with GO so according to my schedule we are still on time :(
It just feels like such a wasted opportunity. CS2 was a clean slate to learn from and improve on all the mistakes that held GO back from greatness. Instead it became just more of the same. The most frustrating part to me is the lack of communication by Valve. Sitting there in silence while completely ignoring the feedback from the community, who genuinly want to improve the experience.
when deadlock and hl3 is on the horizon, and tf2 up in arms, yeah cs2 is being really fucked right now, but what can the measly 5 devs do about it unless we do something like #fixtf2 (which is a thousand times harder given cs have a million concurrent players at any moment), yeah no we are not getting updates
There is something about shooting which feels so god damn off. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is, but it lacks the "crispiness" of CSGO in a way. One taps feel much less satisfying, spraying is literally RNG 50% of the time, and the whole game has basically become +W SMG simulator
@@Bunerd No the kills aren't as satisfying as CSGO, let alone feel better. CSGO'S gun sounds were crisp and felt natural. A headshot felt immensely good in CSGO. In CS2, it's more random.
@@shyrtexx4879 True. The hitreg is inconsistent and spraying feels weird. The game has become more R&G. I thought I lost my skills as I hadn't played for 3 months. But I started CSGO legacy and my shots hit accurately. It's a CS2 issue.
Isn't it because CSGO was fully client sided registering shots and CS2 is client>server>client communication. So it takes longer to register & confirm a shot, it registers a few miliseconds after you have already shot. Which always feels off. I think they made it this way to have high-ping players play 'more fair' but it has a big disadvantages for low-ping players because of this newly presented lag.
I actually agree here that the loadout system was actually bad. Because, having the decision of "Will I pick m4a4 vs m4a1-s?", or "CZ75 vs FiveSeven or Tec9" were kind of little strategical choices you had to make. I'm not sure how to explain it, but Hougne understands and maybe more people do too. Oh, also wheel buy menu was still better!
@@berran3459 Agreed. For some reason, I actually don't like refunds a little, but I know they're harmless, and actually good for players so I don't care about it.
For me it doesnt make any difference, I dont see the point of having both M4s in your inventory. Whatever the current balance patch is, one is always better than the other. A1-S with 25 bullets a few years ago was better than A4. Then it got nerfed back to 20 bullets, got lower fire rate and more damage dropoff, so now the A4 is better. The only advantage is being able to spam smokes without tracers. That doesnt weigh up to having less bullets, lower fire rate and less damage at range. I currently have the Scout, M4, AUG, AWP and Autosniper equipped in the rifle slots. Having the auto to buy if I have huge bank is more beneficial to winning games than having the A1-S equipped. Yes, its slightly cheaper, but if you cant afford the A4, just buy an MP9 and play a closer range spot instead. Also, dont equip the FAMAS. It has lower fire rate, lower accuracy and lower DPS than the MP9. Its literally useless. And if you are thinking about using the burst fire. Just buy a Scout instead.
@@TheSuperappelflap I agree with the fact that the "m4a4 VS m4a1-s" battle is always one-sided. It used to be that the m4a1-s had 30 bullets too. They were both fairly balanced, so the choice of "which one do I choose" actually existed. Now, I do have both m4s in my buy menu but only so I can buy a teammate what he prefers. I almost always pick m4a4. Also, the famas is really not that bad, it's especially useful for maps like dust 2. But, I can see what you mean, because yes, the mp9 is almost always better, unless it's a long range.
@@FemtoTheWolf The mp9 has higher first bullet accuracy and an easier spray pattern with less bullet spread. Theres literally no upside to the famas at the moment. It needs to be buffed. And the mp9 has to be nerfed. I dont remember the a1-s ever having 30 bullets, must have been before I started playing. Being able to drop teammates who cant spray with the M4 is a reason to equip it, I guess.
Subtick ruined any consistency in CS. There used to be a "global" (server) hit-authority. They turned every client into its own authority which makes no sense for a multiplayer game. A dude with 150 ping will shoot you around corners all day, a problem that never existed in CS:GO
Yeah I admit it: I was a Valve believer. And when CS 2 launched in its terrible undercooked state I was like: "Um, guys chill - Valve just needs the whole community on it, since the BETA was empty, I am sure they will quickly fix the game - after all they had 11 years of CS:GO experience, right? RIGHT?" . Besides the 3 meaningful big updates and countless fixes, I started losing hope... I honestly feel indifferent about the game and I play it less and less. I miss the ability to buy every single gun, I miss the responsiveness and I miss the fact that the Trust Factor actually worked in CS:GO - towards the final days I barely had cheaters in my lobbies. Probably for 3-4 months I haven't encountered a cheater. A company worth 8 BILLION can't (or doesn't want) to tackle the issues that have haunted the game for years...
The only time Trust Factor actually works for someone with a positive Trust Factor score is when they are playing Solo Queue. When you queue with someone who gets regularly reported because he's a good player his Trust Factor score will be used in matchmaking. And of course since Trust Factor is entirely dependent on players reporting suspicious behavior, e.g. another player 'suspecting' you of cheating, then it's all subjective. It isn't proof like an ANTICHEAT detecting something intrusive. Trust Factor was never going to work, because it was just an ordinary rating system where you just give a thumps up to a guy by not reporting a player and a thumps down to a player you suspect of wrongdoing. The more thumps downs you get the lower your trust factor.
@@whitegoose2017 Well I like your argument and you are providing good points, but can you actually give me the source of this information you are spilling? I am asking, because as far as I know Trust Factor itself was designed to match you with similar accounts and it didn't depend only on reports. In fact Valve themselves said (not that anyone believes them at this point) that Trust Factor is based around multiple variables like: How old is your account, how many games you have, how many hours you have in CS:GO and other games and even something like achievements and badges. And it's true to some degree, because as I said in my previous comment, I was only matched with accounts similar to mine. Very decorated accounts even though it's pretty easy to buy such accounts, I haven't encountered cheaters and it was obvious the owners invested heavily into the game. I was matched with people who had Dragon Lores and other expensive items. Ofc, I hope I am not coping, but Trust Factor did work at least for me and I don't really think it worked (at least before) around reports and offenses. As I said: I am super curious to see the source of your information, because at this point might as well learn something while waiting for the game to actually be good.
@@BicBoi1984 wdym new engine? Source2 has released in 2015? It's VALVE's own engine, created for them, by them, and they aren't expected, since 2015, to have people ready to use it and code on it?
THANK YOU, Jeff! Its absolutely infuriating how seemingly no other content creator seems care about all of these problems you listed , problems which any normal player with more than 200 hours in the game is aware of. Watching them all just continuously ignore the elephant in the room all for the sake of not hurting their bottom line drives me insane. I hate this toxic forced positivity with a passion.
cs and so many others like it brought on the death of casual modes, because people now care about imaginary numbers and pngs, css surf is still alive though, cant say the same about the other more normal servers as the server browser is just filled with spam servers that redirect you to one russian/romanian/some other eu server that nets you 250+ ping disguised as your lowest native because they use proxy servers.
i remember back in the day letting out my frustration about hackers in the forum only to get told to "gid gud" and being compared to a toddler shitting himself everytime i started the game a message told me players i have reported were banned good ol days
unless you had something like ishowspeed’s viewerbase and influence, you’d barely make a dent on the money cs makes. sucks but it is what it is. So long as cases and keys make Valve an exorbitant amount of money they wont have any incentive to change stuff.
So what should I play to find the same seek and destroy mode with the good feel CS:GO had at the end ? Don't say Valorant or R6 Siege, I tried both they're nothing like CS:GO was.
the worse aspect for me is the workshop. We lost so many great maps, my thoughts go to insertion 1 and 2 that still can't work because of a valve's side problem, and inferno sandbox.
My real issue with CS2 being built from the groud up is how they forgot about some anti-cheat things they added to CSGO like nospread, causing all these people to be able to bhop around and be 100% accurate with cheats when they fixed that in CSGO around 2015/16...
Its a full on failure. The only reason it's not dead is because people are just addicted to CS. If they had CS:GO around CS2 would see a significantly lower amount of player. It has 0 redeeming qualities, the gimmick of smokes washed away and we are left with slop. They are more consistent which is nice but It doesnt make up for all the other downsides of the game. Also the game may be 10 years newer yet you'd never guess that by the graphics(I dont think its a bad thing but its not good either). Not choosing the map is the single worst thing I hated in Valorant and there it is introduced to CS. When you play the normla comp with a chosen map you get matched with the most autistic teammates so there is no point in playing. I play 1 day out of the month where I try to level up but get pissed off and just take a ban. It's probably THE worst competitive multiplayer game right now. Valorant is better and im sad to say this.
I really dont get why they introduced this new premier mode either where you cant play the map you want. My PC is kind of old and my fps goes down from 200+ to about 80 on any map with water on it. So I cant play Overpass, Ancient, Anubis, etc. The only maps I can play are D2, Mirage, Nuke, Vertigo and Inferno. I dont like Vertigo or Inferno. So that means I cant play Premier. Because I would have to leave more than half the games I get put in just to get a map I like and get good enough fps on to be able to play the game. If they had just made the ranked mode the main ranked mode and gave you a seperate rank for every map, that would have been perfect. In the normal ranked mode I get maybe two out of ten games that are decent, with normal teammates. seven out of ten both teams have cheaters, and one out of ten my team is so bad that they manage to lose even if I get 40+ kills in 24 rounds.
Jeff, you're absolutely spot on here. The anti-cheat system is a complete joke. I had the same experience yesterday-almost every match in Premiere had at least one cheater. In one game, a cheater on my own team even blocked us from kicking them out. We ended up leaving the game and got penalized for it. I’ve decided I won’t be playing CS:GO 2 again. And you’re right about FACEIT-why should I have to switch platforms just to play CS:GO 2 with fewer cheaters? I just want the game to work properly. Thanks for being real about it ❤
I just fired up Counter Strike for the first time in years, stopped already due to excessive hacking. Literally every match. Already moving on, looking for a different game
Game is shit, matchmaking is shit, anticheat is shit. I don't know how they fucked up this bad. I still play with my friends a few games every weekend, but it isn't nearly as fun as it used to be. Getting CSGO'ed wasn't fun, but getting CS2'ed is equally bad, and it happens multiple times per game for me.
I keep hearing people about this, but I dont have any issue "getting CS2d". The hit detection is much more consistent than in csgo thanks to subtick. I can actually flick over targets and click them and the bullet will go where I clicked instead of at some random point in between where I moved my mouse on that tick. I also have less problems with enemies teleporting around corners or sliding out tilted 30 degrees with bugged animations, which happened to me sometimes in csgo. The thing is I live right next to an international internet exchange and have fiber so I have a very stable 8 ping to servers in western europe. I think the issues with subtick happen when you have higher and more variable ping. Which is probably most of the playerbase. So Im not making excuses for Valve here. Just saying its not completely their fault.
@@TheSuperappelflapfor those who aren’t as lucky as having your location, they also have to deal with the time it takes for a player to be registered as dead to the player, which is longer than CS:GO, on top of the ping issues. They also made bullet holes unbelievably hard to see, making you more reliant on pure memorization of the spray. That probably doesn’t sound rough, but majority of players don’t memorize every bullet of the spray, in certain maps, the contrast is so bad you can’t even see the bullet marks. The maps are just worse from a competitive standpoint, everything is so washed out. I honestly don’t care that much about any of that personally because I barely play CS anymore, but CS:GO of all games, deserved a better remaster, because that’s all CS2 is. They gave us a repackaged CS:GO with more bugs than it previously had.
@@Grek I already had those issues with delayed killfeed and bullet impacts not being visible in CSGO. I had to learn to not look at the killfeed for confirmation or look for bullets to guide the spray when I started playing this game in 2016. The issues with brightness can be fixed easily by the way, just increase the monitorgamma to 3 in the console and it will look a lot better. The default 2.2 gamma that csgo had is way too bright for cs2.
I'm noticing significant differences in the quality of European servers and NA servers and can only conclude that because we have a much smaller audience in NA, valve is running crap servers for us which is why the game feels so much worse here.
Here is the problem. Valve is an incredibly small private company, and for some reason, they rarely ever expand their team unless they pull in developers for a new project. While most companies can have upwards of 400 devs working on a game, Valve doesn't even have that many employees at all. That means that between steam, deadlock, the new half life game being worked on and dota 2, there ends up being very few devs to work on CS2 I still have absolutely no idea why Valve chooses to be this closed off and inefficient, but my guess is that they do it to maintain a tighter control of their company and established hierarchy. Even if we plead for fixes, nothing will change until their structure does.
Why should we care about how a company works internally? Fix the damn game. They are full of money. And if they got money, they can have everything, it’s their choice to have little devs.

What I loved about GO over other FPS games is that there was no loadout nonsense and every player had access to every single weapon and it came down which team used the weapons better. Now however I feel like I can never try different tactics and I’m forced to always have the meta guns equipped because my teammates will need drops or I’ll just be at a disadvantage in general. I quit playing CS:GO few years ago. I got tired of all the cheaters and having to play on 3rd parties websites like Faceit which had its own problem at the time with all the boosters queueing with fresh accounts who were cheating as well.. Decided to come back, not much seems different besides UI, bad map pool, and it is missing this snappyish feeling csgo had. I will say though I do enjoy the nade reworks. So many more teammates are using utility.
So pretty much like every other AAA western dev these days right? Blizzard, Bioware, Bethesda, Valve, EA/Dice. The list goes on. All of them are a shadow of their former self in terms of quality, but they do earn the money anyway
It's CS:GO all over again. It TANKED at launch, pretty much everybody went and played 1.6 and Source. Maybe another petition will do. The weirdest thing is the latency. If you go to a map in Practice or with the map command, it's immediately JUST AS CRISP AS CS:GO. Maybe trying to log every input using subtick is the issue. I'm thinking that it should only record shooting and throwing grenades, not the movement of everyone. That might also explain the issue with movement. It's like a tick or two late. On 64 tick, that's disastrous. I am honestly surprised that VAC can't ban the full-on rapid-firing spinbots, like the rapid firing should get someone immediately banned, right? Nah, apparently. Also, the cheating seems to depend on rank and region. At lower ranks, where I am, I've matched with cheaters less than 1% of the time. I'm from Mongolia, I connect to servers in Hong Kong and Japan. Lower ranks run into another issue, however; since Premier is brand new, people with 100 hours and people with 2000 hours all can get placed into the same rank, resulting in unintentional smurfing. The guys with 100 hours do not stand a chance.
@@Downy1230 Nothing, it's a patch from 12 days ago. Just go to any map in Practice and shoot a bot. You'll see. No console commands required. What I said in the original comment is that you can go to a practice map by typing "map ".
In Southeast Asia server you have the blatant cheaters at ranks 15k and above, so every manner of players ranging from legit cheaters, casual rankeds, Faceit lvl 10's, etc are all dumped into ranks 10k to 15k where every match is a coin toss from either getting dumped by sweats or trashing casuals. It's a literal hellhole down here for my friend group who lies on the middle spectrum of just being good enough against normal casuals, but unwilling to waste time learning multiple lineups, team comms, or grind attrition just to beat faceit lvl 10 5 man teams. It sucks here
Love the video! I have nearly 15k hours in CS, hit top 1k world and top 100 NA and have finally given up on it. My stance boils down to "If Valve doesn't care about this game then I won't either".
I was so hyped for the CS2 release and it truly ended up being the biggest fumble in gaming history. The worst part is that they had so much time to at least announce changes that are coming, but they never did. This makes it seem like they truly aren't doing anything, and that the game will stay in such a dry state indefinitely

Half of those are just GONE, a year has passed and they're still GONE, it's like they just one day decided to delete half of CS:GO, give it a new name(which is pretty much it) and tell me it is in fact an upgrade. Then there's the cheaters, now idk if the game brought along these issues or just bad timing but HOLY SHIT how many cheaters we got in the game, me and my friend went from playing thousands of hours and rarely see blatant cheaters, sometimes suspicious to my friend sending me pics of him playing with 9 fucking blatant hackers spinning and walling, even better, you can't just +left in console to afk for the rest of that match either because that's been removed. Damage stats from console is gone, which would normally be fine in games, except it is rough if you say someone is low because you see them bleeding all over the wall only to then actually be at 90 health because those hits were client-side only, oops sorry for bad info, guess he wasn't glockable after all. Well, I play Premier for like two months now (FaceIt before that, since Premier was unplayable at the end of last year) at ~20k elo and encounter a blatand cheater only once every 50 matches or so, maybe even less. We usually queue 5-stack, though. It's honestly not that bad - at least from my perspective. I'm actually quite satisfied with CS2. After I quit CSGO in 2020, the release of CS2 brought me back and so far I'm having a blast. There are obviously issues with the game still, but it has gone a long way since launch already and I like the spot it's in.
What's even funnier about the cheating problem is that Valve have shown that they have the ability to remove players from the game for using "programs" they don't like such as Snap Tap, but can't do that for cheats? funny.
The worst part is one of my friends is saying "CSGO was out for 10 years, ofc there will be problems". Like no, CSGO fixed loads of its problems, so they shouldnt even really be issues in CS2, and if they are, they should be fixable within a year easily. And also - just release a game that functions properly. Why are jumpthrow smokes now fucked? All my lineups are fucked because Valve wanted it to be consistent on different maps. Who fucking careS??????? If it was WORKING, it was WORKING. No need to change that. MAybe address the actual fucking problems.
"Do you even realize how crazy it is that your regular playerbase only sticks around thanks to a lifeline thrown by another company because of how bad you are at allowing your own service to get". This is the line that I constantly think about and is significantly underrated. It also amazes me how many people still dick ride Valve for the state of the game.
I have played many games and still go back to cs because how perfect the game is. Sometimes i think the game should be under some other company because valve seriously doesn't care about cs.
There’s a lot of fair criticism that CS2 deserves. And then there’s a lot of bullshit, like «the only thing that’s good about CS2 is graphics» and «there’s a cheater in every game». Calling out bullshit comments like this is not dickriding. If anything, a lot of people who don’t even play the game are dickriding each other on the hate train. There are so many positives, and so many negatives about this new game. The discussion about CS2 is not balanced in the slightest. cs2 is horrible. as a casual player that has experienced only like 100 hours of csgo and 100 of cs2 I can say that the first 100 hours felt like heaven and this now... pure frustration. I dont care about the "better" graphics, I just want a game, that feels smooth and is fun to play, that has a good matchmaking system, a good ranked system (like csgo had)... basically I want CSGO back.
If you ever ask yourself "why?" just remember brothers, VALVe *DID NOT* make counter-strike , counter-strike was made by 2 hardcore fps lovers cliffe and gooseman , their vision of the game evolved with time and became loved and huge, that's why VALVe bought it off from them, VALVe didn't make CS , i wouldn't say CS made VALVe because VALVe hit the ground running with their first game in 1998 (Half-Life) but they are americans at their core and they will always have that narcissism of the glorious beautiful bay area silicon valley programmer, they just can't accept that counter-strike isn't theirs, if you look back at their update history through that lense then suddenly things make a lot more sense, every update regardless of how pointless, detrumental, lowering the skill ceiling, etc. has been done with the clear intention of VALVe putting "their mark" on the game, they desperately want to make people think that somehow *their* vision of CS is the real CS, and for as long as VALVe continues to hold the rights to counter-strike, that will never change, it will just be an infinite loop of decadence and casualization. It's all about the bottom line.

Thanks for posting this Jeff. This encapsulates all of my gripes I have with CS2 and with Valve. Games 100x smaller have better communication, anticheat and content updates than this and it just makes me tired to think about now.
So many new videos! Personally I think Source 2 is a necessary upgrade, however, the state that it has released in, and the updates we've received have been very half baked, CSGO still FEELS better to aim and move in. When the fundamental mechanics don't feel as good or even better than the previous game, don't release it just yet.
I have stopped playing CS 2 for almost a year now, just played for 1-2 days when it came out, it felt like i have to re-learn spray pattern, spraying somehow felt weird. Thank god i didn't waste anymore time. It really is sad i had 6800 hours on CSGO. But i guess every good thing comes to an end.
Funny enough, my favorite thing about this video is that you have friends of varying skill levels that you're just hanging out with. I'm happiest to hear that you have pals who have stuck by you.
I know this isn't a problem for most people, but for a small minority of people, including myself, the networking in this game is just straight up broken and results in insane rubber-banding that makes the game feel even sloppier than it does normally. Man I miss GO
Thank you for making a whole video on this. Ive been playing for many years as a casual player mostly and i knew there were many issues like constant cheaters and a majority of content available but never really could piece it all together. After a long time away from the game and getting older, my ability to do well has been declining but I was always stuck at one rank for the last few years even when id try and put work in to help, I dont fully understand how the rank system works but its weird to experience no rank up and no rank down when you do really well and mostly top frag for more than a few months... Loved the video covering most things very in depth! Much love!
To me, the ONLY upgrades Cs2 has compared to GO is the graphics. There are more cheaters, less maps, less content, more bugs, doesn't feel as snappy or consistent as GO. Etc. This game to me is such a step back

there's a reason they had to delete (hide) CS:GO or they'd have another 1.6 Source community split
and because the community split forced them to make CSGO better to get players from 1.6 and Source to play go.

I saw a clip that Warowl shared during the beta of someone getting banned live and the match being cancelled. I really thought the anticheat would stay consistent. I had this happen two times, saying that there was a cheater in MY team, the twist : we are a 5 stack and i know them all, none of them are cheaters.

I haven't played CS2. Did they seriously not add a 5v5 casual?
Probably my biggest gripe with CSGO. 10 man casual was complete aids, and it played so different from proper competitive as to be useless as a 'casual mode'
Good. Casuals can play the casual rootkit childrens game operator mess copycat valorant game
At the start of cs2 you can still gain exp in an unrank match, but Valve update this without telling the community, so now there's almost no point in playing with your friend that does not have prime since you won't get any exp anymore.

i remember telling my friends when source 2 was announced that it will take 2 years of bug fixes and another year for content parity with GO so according to my schedule we are still on time :(
It just feels like such a wasted opportunity.

There is something about shooting which feels so god damn off. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is, but it lacks the "crispiness" of CSGO in a way. One taps feel much less satisfying, spraying is literally RNG 50% of the time, and the whole game has basically become +W SMG simulator
But if you managed a kill is more satisfying than csgo.
But shooting in general is still worse than csgo
@@Bunerd No the kills aren't as satisfying as CSGO, let alone feel better. CSGO'S gun sounds were crisp and felt natural. A headshot felt immensely good in CSGO. In CS2, it's more random.

Isn't it because CSGO was fully client sided registering shots and CS2 is client>server>client communication. So it takes longer to register & confirm a shot, it registers a few miliseconds after you have already shot. Which always feels off. I think they made it this way to have high-ping players play 'more fair' but it has a big disadvantages for low-ping players because of this newly presented lag.
spraying has always been RNG
I actually agree here that the loadout system was actually bad. Because, having the decision of "Will I pick m4a4 vs m4a1-s?", or "CZ75 vs FiveSeven or Tec9" were kind of little strategical choices you had to make.

My real issue with CS2 being built from the groud up is how they forgot about some anti-cheat things they added to CSGO like nospread, causing all these people to be able to bhop around and be 100% accurate with cheats when they fixed that in CSGO around 2015/16...
They didn't forget about it. It was intentionally removed because it was utterly useless.
@@TheSuperappelflap hi, competitive exists, it's seperate rank for each map, literally you dont even need premier if your pc sucks like this
Jeff, you're absolutely spot on here. Thanks for being real about it ❤
I'm saying it here and now: Without collective action against Valve, this thing will continue to move forward at a snails pace!!!
I just fired up Counter Strike for the first time in years, stopped already due to excessive hacking. Literally every match. Already moving on, looking for a different game
2 videos in 2 days, my man is back on the grind :D
@@timothychartier the audience in western europe nowadays isnt big either.
Here is the problem. Valve is an incredibly small private company, and for some reason, they rarely ever expand their team unless they pull in developers for a new project. While most companies can have upwards of 400 devs working on a game, Valve doesn't even have that many employees at all. That means that between steam, deadlock, the new half life game being worked on and dota 2, there ends up being very few devs to work on CS2
I still have absolutely no idea why Valve chooses to be this closed off and inefficient, but my guess is that they do it to maintain a tighter control of their company and established hierarchy. Even if we plead for fixes, nothing will change until their structure does.
At least they don't have a Cosby Room /s
Why should we care about how a company works internally? Fix the damn game. They are full of money. And if they got money, they can have everything, it’s their choice to have little devs.

My least favourite thing about CS2 is the loadout system. @@TheCapitalWanderer no one's forcing you to play the meta, if you can play with something off-meta just put it in your loadout, most of the time you only need to drop aks/m4s for your team, other times who's gonna stop you from r8 the entire enemy team

Everytime I play there are no cheaters, but then again I only play a match a week
The limited buy menu was such a stupid idea, that alone made me question their development strategy. (which is to say, they don't have one)
I quit playing CS:GO few years ago. I got tired of all the cheaters and having to play on 3rd parties websites like Faceit which had its own problem at the time with all the boosters queueing with fresh accounts who were cheating as well..

It's all about the bottom line.
what is bro yapping about, just remember that VALVE THEMSELVES made CSGO the beauty that is today. CS2 is a shitshow, yes, but to say VALVe broke CS is just plain wrong. Also Cliffe and Gooseman is also in VALVe so I don't see your point mate.
or just stay in your 1.6 dreams, idk

@@hellothisisme2010Valve didn't made CSGO lmao, everything good about that game was from the original console port, all Valve did was tweaks numbers and animations
Thanks for posting this Jeff. This encapsulates all of my gripes I have with CS2 and with Valve.
It frustrates me to no end that a company so large can be so inattentive to a game that makes them billions.
CS2 is the Meet your Match of cs
From Cs go to Cs2, Valve took 1 step ahead, 5 steps backwards.
more like 0 steps ahead, 10 step backwards -10 steps worse than nothing
CSGO is for gamers
CS2 is for spectators
I have stopped playing CS 2 for almost a year now, just played for 1-2 days when it came out, it felt like i have to re-learn spray pattern, spraying somehow felt weird. Thank god i didn't waste anymore time. It really is sad i had 6800 hours on CSGO. But i guess every good thing comes to an end.
RUclips filter is so nasty. Took me 30 minutes to write a elaborate post and it's just gone. Wow.
kitty at the end summs it up, looking angry and dunno whats going on 😂
imagine you are a real police or soldier and then you see your mates suddenly bunny hoping.
Much love!
VAC = Valve Allows Cheats
I see youre having fun with the new Davinci Resolve 19 effects :D I love them too :D
The shooting and peeking feels dreadful to do and play against, and I blame it entirely on subtick
it feels the same as csgo to me, I have been playing cs2 since launch and csgo for years before launch
open the game itself is like a lottery, you might get smooth experience, and many times you get choppy experience
