I inherited my Deville from my father, whom he wore every day for as long as I can remember. After AD service , it runs a second +/- every 48 hours. It keeps better accuracy than my near SMP 300M. I ought to wear more often. Good video!

Great video sir, I tinker with watches I've got a Tissot atm Omega is my favourite I found the better the movement the less wear an broken parts and problems I have keep making videos you explain well what your doing.

I wonder if that's because of the price, maybe the more expensive watches were more taken care of? Some of it it probably part quality as well. I love Tissot watches also maybe I'll do a video on one. Thank you! hoping to keep the content coming!
You shouldn't oil the pallet fork pivot jewels. Only oils on pallet should be on the pallet stones as you did. Eventually the oil will work its way down to everywhere else on the fork where it doesn't belong. and cause performance issues. Escape wheel pivots however gets the 9010.
Thank you I did not know this! After some research seeing I was wrong, I am going to correct this issue. Makes sense that the oil wouldn’t stay there since the fork operates differently than other wheels. Again thank you! Always learning
It's interesting how our species can manufacture such small parts. Have you ever seen MEMS devices? They are small machines, very small. There are components in computers that are so small that you can mesure their width in atoms. It's mind-boggling!
I will check that out. Crazy how long ago some of these microscopic parts started being made!
The orangeness of this movement is interesting.
From what Ive read, I believe these movements are rose gold plated brass or copper.
Механика , гидравлика, пневматика с нами давно и надолго . Электричество расширило возможности передачи информации как никогда , но никто не гарантирует , что оно с нами навсегда или надолго. Я за то , чтобы электричество и все с ним связанное , сопровождало нас по дольше , но от моего желания или желаний целой цивилизации вряд ли это зависит.
Может случиться так , что почему то , электричество будет везде , даже там , где по привычным нам законам физики его быть не должно ( ионная проводимость ), но все чувствительные технологии , связанные с электричеством работать перестанут. Везде будет короткое замыкание. На небе проявится некое астрономическое событие , ставшее этому причиной и время можно будет отменять только по механическим часам .
Поэтому , не стоит расставаться со своими механическими часами , они нам ещё пригодятся , когда солнце однажды взойдет на западе и где то будет две зимы между осенью и весной , а где то два лета.
Такое уже было и не раз , и может повториться. Просто было очень давно.
I agree that mechanical watches aren’t near as disposable. Most of these watches have already and will continue last for a very long time.

Мне нравятся все часы и разные , но особой симпатией пользуются у меня механические. У меня их небольшая коллекция , которую приходится периодически обслуживать. Имею для этого весь необходимый инструментарий. С интересом слежу за вашей работой.
Great video! I too have a seamaster that I plan to service when my abilities allow. I couldn’t help but to keep thinking you should have had a sandwich before you started as it sounded a lot like your stomach growling in the video!,,😂😂 seriously though great video.

@@CHWatches У меня был случай , когда мне кто то принес часы для срочного обслуживания прямо домой , а я в это время во дворе рубил дрова . Нужно было всего то , промыть узел баланса , на спираль попала смазка и часы начали спешить .
Тогда я заметил , что после рубки дров руки ходят ходуном ( дрожат ) и к часам после рубки дров в тот же день лучше не притрагиваться .
Снять и промыть баланс-спираль мне удалось , а вот поставить все на место стоило не малых усилий .
