What they said was that they were going to enter their "off period", in which they will focus on solo activites and resting so that they can grow and come back as a stronger group.

I know you won't understand the reference from past. But the biggest one is that yellow bus. They came in a yellow bus (in their debut song - No more dream) and now after completing their 1st chapter with Anthology Album, they left in the same yellow bus 🥺💕 also the scene in the bus in reference to spring day MV, when Jungkook finally found that all his hyungs were in the same train, with him. Honestly I'm not sad because of the news of stepping back a little and focusing on solo work etc. I'm sad because they felt exhausted and burned out and what made it even worse is the fact that they feel guilty because of it. I saw many articles titled "bts is saying goodbye", "bts is disbanding" etc. and they never said such things. But what's new.. that's how media works, always taking thing out of context. Feeling sad that the group activities are going to be limited is okay but now that they shared their feelings with us I totally get it. I would not enjoy any BTS song knowing that behind them are just tired, and unhappy people. Wanting BTS to do what we want and not what they want is very selfish. We just have to support them and let them know that having time to grow as an individual is okay. We often tend to dehumanize them, forgetting that they started really young and the work that they do is not easy. I think that most of us feel the way they're feeling. Even the situation with their dorm, that the contract is over and they live on their own. I'm only 21 but I have been living alone for almost 2 years now. I can't imagine living with 6 other people. The same people that I work with and see 300 days of the year.
Jungkook did a Vlive and he said when he woke up everything was a mess and he wanted to clarify....he said we are not disbanding or breaking up we are taking time to do other projects and we need to recharge..so that’s what armies are hanging on for
i have cried a lot the last few days because we didn't know how much they were wanting a change and break. I am happy they get to be happier in life now. And look forward to the day they can meet as one and create as one again
Their live vocals are outstanding, I don't mind a bit of autotune on the studio version but their live vocals really shine! I could get to hear Suga rapping in an higher octave and Jhope's part more clearly. The drums and the background vocals, the adlibs!!!! Not to offend anyone but this is my favorite version of the song!
lol I totally agree, I think you won’t offend anyone saying their live version of any song is your favorite version. Their live vocals are out of this world and just bring a warmth, richness and level of emotion you just can’t capture in a studio version.
You've come so far, re: BTS. Can you imagine 6 months ago getting upset at anything that might happen to a 'boy band'? But the magic of BTS is that they are so honest, so good, so genuine, that you end up caring for them because those qualities are so rare in today's world. Also, I love how much Gospel influence there is in this song. It really comes through in the live version.
I really understand them, when you're doing something for so long and everybody expect you to improve or to be bigger than you already are, you kinda can loss yourself, it's a bittersweet situation for me but I can't be more proud of them right now and I'm glad they were honest with their situation, they really love music and that's the most important thing for them, so if a break is what they need to keep it real as a group later or whatever they want for their future I'll happily accept it, they helped me a lot in these almost 4 years so I just want them to be happy, plus it will be a fun rollercoaster with, I know it will be, 7 totally different albums 😁

But what I got from listening to the song, both before and after the announcement, was anticipation for the next chapter. Our guys aren’t going anywhere. They’re just taking time for themselves to experience new things, to be re-inspired, to recharge, and to come back more energized. Aftwr all the things have been going on these past few days. Their anthology album as a whole hits different, even deeper. Mixed emotions for sure. Most especially MOTS7 album, Black Swan, which really talked about what they were experiencing and they hung in there for 2 more yrs becausw Covid happened, thwy dont want to release the anthology album with the pandemic going. Now that the timing is perfect, they released it and they were so afraid tto disappoint us which is more painful for Armys. 🥹 I lpve this group. Stan a group that dtans you back! Bts always sounds better live. They breathe that extra life in their songs when they're live. Their energy is infectious. There have been some songs where I'm a little iffy about but once I hear and see them perform it live I start to appreciate those songs more. As always love seeing your reactions💜
It was not filmed after the news of the break. This was actually filmed earlier this year in the Mojave desert outside of Las Vegas between the Grammys and their Las Vegas concerts. Obviously they knew what was coming but we didn't yet.
Yeah, always better live. 💜 The MNet pre-recorded video also just dropped earlier for Yet to Come and For Youth. Hope you watch the Yet to Come MNet version, Yoongi played the intro piano (not really sure if it's a piano, grand piano or what but whatever it was, it was amazing 😂) And you might want to also check out Born Singer too, it has the live version as well. I think they made the live version the same time as this live Yet to Come vid. Also, yes, when I first saw the lyrics and MV, it sounded like a farewell to something, but the beginning of another.. I really hated that Emergency Exit sign, it bugged me.. 😅 But I can't even imagine how exhausted they must already be, the world's expectation and pressure on their shoulders. I saw on some articles that HYBE stock plummeted by 25% or so and $1.7B or something loss that day, because of the hiatus misunderstanding. I feel heartbroken that instead of them being able to take a rest, it's another burden or worry now that they are thinking about. It's a really beautiful song, and as RM said on Festa 2022 the song conveys their feelings about finished this chapter and they will come with great music as individual and as a group. I'm a bit sad but also so excited to support them for a long time. When this one came out I felt something different, now I know what it was about. I just hope they rest, 'cause they've been doing this for so long and always trying to get better and better, but unfurtunately that pressure started to make them exhausted. Bryan, I was devastated after the Festa dinner, not because the guys need a well deserved break but because they were suffering so much, in silence and kept pushing on, for us. I couldn’t listen to their music for 2 days because I knew it’d break me more. I truely hope, like the song says, they can take what they need from this break and bring their best in the future. Thank you for this reaction and I totally agree about the production on their recordings. They have amazing raw vocals, no need to over produce that talent. 💜
Thanks for reacting to this, the song is so good you don’t need to know the references in the video, but it will be interesting if you come back and watch this in maybe like a year or so and see if you catch more. I think it’s pretty cool anyway that BTS deliberately made this video for ARMY and it’s a bit nostalgic and bittersweet. We know good things are coming but letting what we know go, can be hard. I’m so proud of them for having the courage to be vulnerable enough with ARMY to say “hey we’re drained and need time to just live our lives, compose our thoughts.” And in the height of their careers too… it’s so brave what they’re doing. And we won’t worry, they made a promise and they don’t make promises they don’t keep. Anyway, if you like their live stuff, I definitely highly recommend checking out the full Proof Live set it’s only three songs including Yet to Come. I also recommend checking out their Tiny Desk concert (in which they sing Dynamite, Save Me and Spring Day) I will preemptively warn you though, if you do listen to the Tiny Desk concert, people are going to beg you to watch Spring Day. I’m really enjoying your journey with BTS and I really appreciate how you try to understand the lyrics cause you already know that they actually speak to us ARMY thru their lyrics. Your breakdown of their lyrics make me realize things I’ve overlooked although I’ve been listening to them for years. Some people try to categorize ARMY into baby ARMYs and OG ARMYs which I personally don’t like. As long as you love their songs and even listen to them every day you’re a legit ARMY no matter for how long you’ve known them. So I think it’s not necessary to call yourself baby ARMY and I noticed that BTS is growing on you since you seem to be trying holding your feelings during your reaction. This song and MV seems to be a love song to us ARMYs and to themselves and has so much references from their past MVs going back to 2013. You might not notice these references right now but you’ll probably notice them during your journey with them. Enjoy your journey with BTS. Our boys are taking a long-waited break for themselves. BTS have worked hard non-stop over the years, they deserve a break to rest and to find themselves again. As ARMYs we will always be proud of the projects of each member. They will return to us again someday, but until now let's give all the support to future projects of the members. when I first heard the news, I was so emotional, it still hurts a little, knowing how much they have struggled. I’m so grateful that they are showing and telling us their feelings and thoughts. I would rather have them take a long break than seeing them being unhappy. This M/V was released before they announced that they were going to focus more on solo projects. Hearing the song and reading the lyrics to 'Yet To Come' after the news hits different now. My instincts turned out to be right because I kept thinking about the way the M/V ended. It felt like a goodbye in a type of way.

They are not disbanding, and they are not on HIATUS. They are still doing group work, just not music, they are doing their solo music and taking a break from group music and promotions, as well as cameras on them 24/7. Look forward to J Hope releasing a full album mid July, and headlining at Lallapaloosa July 31st.

I couldn’t listen to their music for 2 days because I knew it’d break me more. I truely hope, like the song says, they can take what they need from this break and bring their best in the future. Thank you for this reaction and I totally agree about the production on their recordings. They have amazing raw vocals, no need to over produce that talent. 💜

Thanks for reacting to this, the song is so good you don’t need to know the references in the video, but it will be interesting if you come back and watch this in maybe like a year or so and see if you catch more. I think it’s pretty cool anyway that BTS deliberately made this video for ARMY and it’s a bit nostalgic and bittersweet.
We know good things are coming but letting what we know go, can be hard. I’m so proud of them for having the courage to be vulnerable enough with ARMY to say “hey we’re drained and need time to just live our lives, compose our thoughts.” And in the height of their careers too… it’s so brave what they’re doing. And we won’t worry, they made a promise and they don’t make promises they don’t keep.
Anyway, if you like their live stuff, I definitely highly recommend checking out the full Proof Live set it’s only three songs including Yet to Come. I also recommend checking out their Tiny Desk concert (in which they sing Dynamite, Save Me and Spring Day)
I will preemptively warn you though, if you do listen to the Tiny Desk concert, people are going to beg you to watch Spring Day. And from there you also will need to watch one of the Spring Day explained videos and that can be quite an emotionally taxing experience.

I’m really enjoying your journey with BTS and I really appreciate how you try to understand the lyrics cause you already know that they actually speak to us ARMY thru their lyrics. Your breakdown of their lyrics make me realize things I’ve overlooked although I’ve been listening to them for years.
Some people try to categorize ARMY into baby ARMYs and OG ARMYs which I personally don’t like.
As long as you love their songs and even listen to them every day you’re a legit ARMY no matter for how long you’ve known them. So I think it’s not necessary to call yourself baby ARMY and I noticed that BTS is growing on you since you seem to be trying holding your feelings during your reaction.
This song and MV seems to be a love song to us ARMYs and to themselves and has so much references from their past MVs going back to 2013.
You might not notice these references right now but you’ll probably notice them during your journey with them.

Our boys are taking a long-waited break for themselves. BTS have worked hard non-stop over the years, they deserve a break to rest and to find themselves again. As ARMYs we will always be proud of the projects of each member. They will return to us again someday, but until now let's give all the support to future projects of the members.
when I first heard the news, I was so emotional, it still hurts a little, knowing how much they have struggled. I’m so grateful that they are showing and telling us their feelings and thoughts. I would rather have them take a long break than seeing them being unhappy. I respect their decision and I respect them as people even more. They are taking time for themselves and it's an important thing for an individual. We all need time to charge back ourselves. I'm happy that the Tannies talked about it.

Namjoon even got so frustrated with the misinformation going around in the media that he made a post addressing it on weverse, where he wrote that everything they wanted to say, they said during festa dinner just as it is.
This M/V was released before they announced that they were going to focus more on solo projects. Hearing the song and reading the lyrics to 'Yet To Come' after the news hits different now. My instincts turned out to be right because I kept thinking about the way the M/V ended. It felt like a goodbye in a type of way.

They are not disbanding, and they are not on HIATUS. They are still doing group work, just not music, they are doing their solo music and taking a break from group music and promotions, as well as cameras on them 24/7. Look forward to J Hope releasing a full album mid July, and headlining at Lallapaloosa July 31st.
They only taking a break from group music to promote their solo music and focus on it but they will keep filming and doing group content like they always been doing on the festa dinner the rapline said it's so hard for them to make lyrics and have new idea for the group so they felt exhausted and what made bts cry was that they were afraid to disappoint us and not matching our expectations on them as a group and we cried because we didn't know they were going through a lot of sadness just reminds me of their possible breakup in 2018 because they were so exhausted by the fame and everything but I'm happy they took a break before they got more and more exhausted and end the group now they will try new things specially the vocal line it's their first time to try something like this

Para mí el significado de esta canción cambió muchísimo después del dinner party del Festa 😢, ahora tiene otro significado que no percibí la primera vez que vi la traducción, lo primero que pensé fue “oh, hablan sobre las cosas por venir para el grupo, quizá un nuevo estilo musical, o algo así”, después del Festa fue como: “oh, ahora todo tiene sentido, es mucho más de lo que me imaginé” 😔
No voy a mentir, el primer día estuve súper triste por varias razones, no solo por la pausa momentánea, pero ahora, después de procesarlo mucho, puedo darme cuenta que esto es lo mejor, ellos lo merecen, confiaré en ellos y en sus decisiones, los apoyaré individualmente (como lo he hecho con los mixtapes de la rapline y OST de la vocal line) y seguiré esperándolos cuando estén listos para regresar como grupo. BTS left many references, even though I didn't see the lyrics, when it premiered I was already crying, because the meaning of those songs is a journey that I and bts went through. Happy to be an army, I just hope they rest and fulfill their proposed projects for this year.
