Thanks Dave for the time you give us. I sure hope I could get one of my bucket list which is spending time shopping with you Dave!!!
I really enjoy all your videos. I like how fair you are to the sellers. Your humor is a huge part of the enjoyment. I watch many resellers and you're at the top of my list now. 😊
Hi Dave! Awesome series! Sorry this is long, but I enjoy your videos so much as a longtime Disney pin collector I just wanted to take a few minutes to try to help out with my own knowledge and experiences with fake pins. My family started collecting Disney pins back in 2001, I've gone to trade nights/meets/events, and I've resold Disney pins from time to time when narrowing down my family's huge collection. First, when a trade or sale seems too good to be true, it probably is, and that's what I felt like I was watching with that guy who seemed so eager to sell off the entire large collection at such a low price. First thing that gave me pause was when I saw all of those pins on what looked like "official" Disney pin black cardboard backer cards, is that I didn't see ANY barcodes on the back of any so someone could have either made them on the right printer or could have bought just cards off of someone to use for fake pins... more likely printed them out if their making and selling fake pins at home.
Years ago my husband overheard 2 guys in the Winter Haven post office discussing how well the one guy was doing selling on ebay from all the Disney pins he was making at home and selling so whether it was fake copies or "fantasy" pins or both, people do make fake Disney pins to either resell to unsuspecting collectors or they trade the fake ones in the parks for real ones as they know how to spot the real pins to turn around and sell... that way they keep good ranking on ebay. These fake pin makers have ruined the fun of trading in the parks. :( Anyway, there are many ways to check if a pin if official or not. When I buy a 2nd hand Disney pin one of the first things I look at on "official" Disney backer cards is if they have a barcode with a price or with a color coded strip under the bar code. If there is a barcode you can look that up to make sure it's the correct pin on the correct card, if it's not, it could possibly be a fake, especially if the colors are different from the real pin shown online on the Disney pin site or on PinPics which is a great source for checking pin authenticity just by looking at the photos of the authentic pins. If the card looks weird to me or no barcode then I check the edges of the pin to see if they're super smooth as many fakes/scrappers have rough edges, something you never find on a real Disney pin. And the fake/scrapper "Hidden Mickey" pins (these have a tiny "hidden" mickey head icon somewhere on front of pin, and are not sold, only traded with cast members) are the ones you really have to look out for, so many fakes out there in circulation. I haven't traded pins at the parks in years because I got so tired of coming home and finding out 15 out of 20 pins we traded were fakes or scrappers. Also, there are several things to check on the back of a Disney pin. I noticed you said something like "yeah the Mickeys are on the back so it's real," but that's only if the waffling of the Mickey icons go to the edge properly, are very uniform (like not different sizes or slightly stretched looking), and there's a lot about how the back should look so here's a very good piece you can look at w/ pics & tips called "Spotting Fake Disney Pins" at www.pintrader.club/articles/spotting-fake-disney-pins Anyway, I hope this helps.
Oh wow, okay I wrote the above after seeing the sale and listening to your reaction to your friend's What Not sale, so upon restarting the video I hear the guy say he gets his pins for $1 each... another HUGE red flag for me! I've never met any authentic Disney seller/trader that sells authentic Disney pins for that cheap, especially if they're on authentic official Disney backer cards. Some Hidden Mickey pins go for cheap, but even $1 for one of those I'd be suspicious of it, too many fakes. IMO this sounds like a buyer who's Disney pin source is passing fakes onto them whether that guy realizes it or not... that's unfortunate. Disney has tried many different things over the years to deter fake pin sellers, but they're still out there due to new traders/collectors not knowing there are fakes and how to spot them. Kind of Disney's fault too for making their pins so dang expensive so ppl turn to those huge cheap lots you see on ebay in order to trade at the parks so it's an endless cycle of fake pins being bought, sold, and traded. :(
He said he got them at a garage sale for 1 each
@@meechibell9602he never said he was an official seller. Lol he had tons of hot wheels, etc. Just a random dude who buys and sales. Think you might be over thinking this
Awesome series Dave! Thanks for taking us along.
Love to watch all your videos especially the ones with your mom . Great content 🎉🎉
That was a great flea market. Full of good plush and other items. Great buys.
Great videos Dave really hate to see these flea market ones come to an end.
I felt like I had a New Show to Watch 😅😊 ! LOL 😅😊LOL A LOT OF FUN VIDEOS, THANKS GUYS!!
I sold a collection and learned a lot about pins. Couple things. The Mickey back part is correct but you also have to see if the Mickey runs off the edge or if there is a lip. The lip would be “fake”. I say “fake” because Disney pins have a heavy quality control and a lot of times the “fake” ones are not fake there just seconds from factory and are supposed to be destroyed but make it to the second market. Older pins don’t even have the Mickey back and there are several new variations to the back. There is a ton to consider when it comes to Disney pins. Hope that helps a little.
Wow, Dave, you spent like a drunkin' sailor on shore leave..lol 😅
Hope they're all great buys!!
Nice video and work on all flea market videos. A lot of fun ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great series a lot of fun!
Just a look for- when you were filling boxes/bags for $5 (bargain) the doll right near the Bluey car you got was a Vintage Lil Miss Magic hair doll- 80s worth $30+ 😊
I’m thinking the customer better be right too I hate it when people say that I am selling fake 🤦♂️after you follow all the items as best as you can
Awww...i hate to see it end! Happy shopping 🛍
Great set of videos , loved the mini series 😊
I really enjoy the series Dave, well done !
Sooo many people make fakes out of Disney pins, it’s sad. And it’s sometimes pretty hard to tell between the fakes and authentic. There are a few Facebook groups and people on whatnot that are very good and helpful with telling the difference
Let me show you something in the back of the trailer...lol If it was dark I would have run!
Some great scores Dave and it looked as though you thoroughly enjoyed yourself
Great deals! Fun video!
Great series.
you passed up that Hulk figure! I asked you on whatnot to keep an eye out for more for me. I guess you forgot... Oh well.
Sad its over. Great videos!
It was awesome guys!!
BUCKET LIST: Negotiate price with a guy holding an RPG. ✔
😂
Yeah I’m think how much does he sell versus armed selling
Dude I so tired of RUclips free money to Americans while we creep up to 34 trillion in debt what’s wrong with American people taking handouts
I enjoyed all the videos!
loved the series
I loved every second of the dailies
Relics from the attic, I met that dude when I was in Florida earlier this year at the Lakeland Mi Pueblo Flea Market he has a big spot out there. Dude is hilarious
It was fun thank you.
i swear those crocs have upped your entertainment value!!! you have always been entertaining but….
Great job
You’ve never seen Cricket? My daughter had Cricket when she was a little girl . It was really expensive at that time
Lol did y'all ditch Paul in this one. He disappeared at the end 😅😅
freeze dried sour skittles ftw!
Still not sure on those pins though...but the rest was great...
You left pink panther??!? Nooo
Very cool
Loved them
I bought Disney Pins from Paul and they seem real to me.
Love it ❤
Loved it
Fun!!!
Lady and the trampit.... 😂
If you think the pins are fake then wouldn’t you question everything he sells?
Hey Oh!!!
Did Rod buy anything? lol
Fun 😊😂
Does Rod ever buy anything ???? His bag is always empty, even in the last 4 videos
I have over 300 cars i would do 150 for all
Biggest purchase ever
P.S. Don’t ever ask someone’s source..😂😂😂
❤
I hope you address the fact that you never paid the guy on a Flipper video. Look at the comments on 2 or 3 videos back. It was the Estate Sale guy. It’s driving me nuts to know if you are going to go back and pay him more. I’m also wondering if he watched the video and caught it 😂
I was glad to see a laughing icon at the end because I didn't want you to drive yourself crazy. 🤣
You crack yourself up, don't you , Dave?
👍🏻
🙋👍
Love your videos so much, but think it’s kind of strange that you would throw Paul under the bus like that, not being part of the auction and just taking rando’s words. That could really negatively effect his channel and store. You get thousands of views per video. Maybe do your research and verify before you hang a friend out there. JMO.
First haha
I sell freeze dried candy.
That was a cool flee market . I never get good deals like that. More like the guy selling the Amy knives at full price .
I have pins from Disney that match them.
Such a great series Dave…thanks for taking us along with you!!
Great series Dave, keep up the entertaining work
