This song is the damn truth. On March 16 of 2017 my wife collapsed in my arms and died a few hours later. I never imagined my life without her, I'm much to much a coward to pull the trigger, yet I've tasted a barrel to a hand gun, so I was going to drink myself to death, which I almost did. My brother called 911 for me and I had a 0.72 BAC. YET I'm sober now just by the grace of God. HEATHER YOU'RE ALWAYS LOVED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN. SAVE ME A SEAT RIGHT NEXT TO YA!!!
Sorry I never comment but my old girl was diagnosed that same damn day in 2017, she’s still here thankfully but we’re not together but still close. We catch up from time to time. Heather is with you always my man and one day your souls will reunite, but until then, love and experience everything that she would want you too. Always a DM away, know what that metal feels like I promise but we’re here and our girls can live through us ✊🏽🙏🏽
@@QuantumJugs thanks for the reply, as far as doing everything that she'd want me to do, check this out. We were very much alcoholics together, in fact that is what killed her. Today I am one year two months and two days sober. She wouldn't believe in less she'd seen it. Living life sober I definitely feel her love and I actually feel her still with me.
There's an interview out there somewhere where he tells the story of his songwriting. Most of it started while he was in the navy. He would come back to the barracks with his buddies and they would write songs

Putting Nashville on notice
The last 30 seconds gave me chills
When the crowd took over you can tell he really enjoys doing shows. I just wonder how long theses songs where wrote before he put the album out
