      Race bikes don't have that B.S.
      The S model is for girls.

      +wasn't me i was wondering the same thing, but i guess they removed the electronic suspension on the 2015 Panigale R, the previous Panigale R had it.

    Good job on the video. I would think the 1299s is more suitable for you, interesting choice going with the 1199r.

    Adey,
    I had the chance to test ride a 2014 1199 paginate S. Great suspension, smooth riding. One downside I saw was the quick shifter. Coming from a Daytona 675R, during shifting, the quick shifter worked as if I was in one continuous gear. On the 1199 S, it seemed to not be that way. Any reason why from your riding experience?? this maybe the one feature that prevents me from buying the 1199 S. What are your thoughts?

    Question is how does it fit a tall rider?

  • @thomasdixon7152

    Thanks for this review . I know this video was made years ago. I wanted some feedback. I have been riding track for 5 years, next season will be my 6th, but really my 2nd really aggressive season. July of 2017 I purchased a 959 Panigale which I love . Coming off a gsxr750 it is hands down a better machine. Last season I was able to put in 19 track days. I made dramatic improvements and dropped 9 seconds a lap on many tracks I ran. I was considering putting full ohlins on the 959 and magnesium wheels to help the handling and doing exhaust. But what I have learned I will be racing the same classes on my 959 as I would if I purchased a 1199r. I wanted to put another season or two on the 959 before making that jump. Next season will be my rookie year. Do you think The R will be a more competitive machine once I am developed at a higher level as a rider. I also own he 1299rFE which is an absolute animal on the track. Yes I was and am foolish enough to run that bike on the track, how can you not. He way you described the 1199r mimics the feeling I got from the 1299r. I had to recalibrate the way I rode compared to the 959. The R flicked in much faster, felt so much more light. Power delivery is like nothing I’ve ever felt and the braking power is instant and effortless.

      If you're gonna be racing, I'd probably choose an easier bike to be consistently fast on. Like an R1 or RSV4 RF. The Panigale will give you a fast lap if you do everything perfectly on it. It won't allow for small mistakes like other bikes.

    How comfortable is this new pani for a tall rider. I'm 6'3 and felt cramped on the older 848 super bike.

    • @Adeysworld
      @Adeysworld  9 лет назад +4

      Cman The Panigale feels like it was built for a tall rider. I used to think the R1 was until I rode the 1199S back in 2012. The 848 had horrible ergos for anyone...tall or short.

    • @syk9855
      @syk9855 8 лет назад

      if you felt cramped on the 848 then you are gunna feel even more so on the panigale. I gotta disagree with adey that the panigale feels like it was built for a tall rider. The panigale is a lot slimmer and might feel uncomfortable to grip the tank if you have long legs.

      Pedro Rio I would have thought that is what he was talking about. Auto blipping down from 4th to 1st seems to be the new electrics on the 1299. I think the title and supporting info isn't matching the commentary.

    honestly the only way you're gonna do a proper review on this bikes capability is on the track. nice bike though I'm considering either the 1299s 1199r or even found a superleggera (but really I don't think for a couple lbs its worth it. I'm a Suzuki GSXR guy so its kinda wierd for me to venture in this direction.

    The R break in is done by the factory, waste of time. Only the 1299 and 1299S needs a break in process.

    • @syk9855
      @syk9855 7 лет назад

      all engines are tested prior to leaving the factory. either way this is never a waste of time as you get to know your bike better before smashing on it. #peanutbrain
