    The mountain buggy nano is 11lbs, lays flat, takes a baby bassinet, and also doesn't require and adapter to receive any infant car seat AND certain toddler convertible seats (the cosco scenera next for example, helpful to stack in when you're going thru the airport or traveling somewhere where you need to Uber, like NYC). Also, it's under $200.

    We are leaning towards the Nuna Tavo. Shame it is very big and will use most of our trunk but at least it covers a lot of typical stroller needs

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад +1

      That is a great option, but I am pretty sure it does not have an adapter for the Mesa. But the Uppababy Minu V2 is great and it does! I considered both of these options!

    • @emiiii

      @@thestrollermom that’s true, but one of our other criteria is that we want it to fit in the overhead bin when we travel, and I heard the minu is slightly too big, much like the Nuna. I guess I’ll need to decide what’s more important to prioritize.

    Do you find that kids slouch at all when sitting in this one? Or is a slight slouch inevitable with lightweight/compacts? I’m trying another brand out and so far I want to return it because my daughter (she’s one) is slouching. It seems to be because of the seat itself and the seat is lacking in depth.

    • @thestrollermom

      I have been most impress with the Nuna TRVL and not having slouching. I had to play with it a bit, but I was able to get it pretty tight. The bumper bar also helps.

    It’s really helpful to know the stroller can’t be used for babies under 6 months, just the infant car seat. I have this system and I have never used the stroller yet!

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  9 месяцев назад +1

      Some babies are strong enough for it to be used fully reclined around 4 months, but it depends on the baby.

    • @jesswang03
      @jesswang03 9 месяцев назад

      @@thestrollermom it’s kind of an interesting system: the infant car seat fits onto a stroller whose seat I can’t use because he’s too small/under developed, so I’m basically pushing extra weight of the stroller in order to use the wheels of the frame. And then once my baby outgrows the infant car seat, depending on his weight and development, there could be a gap between him fitting in the infant car seat and being sturdy enough for the stroller seat which I can use for a while longer. And then I gotta hang on to the infant car seat until I’m ready to sell the system together.

      @@samirs1000no bassinet attachment for the TRVL because the stroller seat doesn’t come off the frame. I think their new TRVL XL has more of a lay flatter feature than the original TRVL. Otherwise, you’ll want the other NUNA systems for the true bassinet

    Super helpful! Thanks for putting this together. What is the major difference between this one and MIXX? Is that - this one is mucher lighter with smaller wheels so that techincially, this one has less function as shock absorbers? Also i assume this one can be used till a kid at his or her 5 yr old maybe?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Год назад

      The Mixx is a full size stroller (bigger fold, heavier, modular, bigger wheels and basket, etc.) and the TRVL is Nuna's compact stroller that has a smaller fold (but AMAZING), more lightweight, great for quick errands and navigating smaller spaces. The suspension is almost always better on full size strollers, but the TRVL is pretty good for a compact stroller.

      So the first few times I found it was a little tricky, but try doing it without your baby in the stroller and take the padding off. They should slide up and down easily, but I know the tension you are talking about. One side might be easier, so try them both to see if it helps you get the feel for it.
