- PSE E-Tac 4 Stock, Manners MCS-T
Comparing long range hunting stocks and my thoughts on what makes a good one.
Tikka T3 vs Boyds vs PDI vs PSE Composites vs Manners.

Keen to see how you groups look too and how much you enjoy it once she all bedded. Im in aus in too mate, and been looking at these stocks for a long time, trying to make my mind up about its worthwhile-ness. Good review
If you're in Victoria you could take a shot with it when it's finished! It's a long action bighorn arms (Zermatt) BDL that will be finished in 7mmRM
Great review and very detailed 👌
Thank you, I find it hard to find reviews on things that aren't just 'here is a thing, its good'. I want to know is it better, lighter, stronger. How does it compare to rivals? Are the alternatives available? Easy to source?
PSE Composites are fantastic to deal with, product looks amazing -- of course I will update with thoughts after using it. So far with the exception of UPS and Border Force the experience was flawless and I'm looking forward to seeing PSE make a splash in this market.
Was able to shoot this exact rifle at the range with pse stock. Was a wicked gun to use and the stock is awesome. Thanks for the opportunity!
Forgot to ask who your gunsmith was?
It was a pleasure meeting you mate, I'm looking forward to you doing some reviews on your channel! Metalwork was Luke from ProCal trading and I did the bedding. The stock is an excellent blend of shape for prone and smaller hand features for offhand than similar styles of stock.
Have a great season this year and I hope to see you again at the range.
The intermediate stock is the E-Lite. I have 1 on my Tikka T3x CTR, and love it. I have the E-tac on order for another Tikka
Thanks
Nice video mate. What’s the price of the PSE landed in Aus with taxes?
Call it $1500. Exchange rates fluctuations etc, ball park the same as McMillan or manners etc
Perfectly executed review mate!
I am so keen to see how it shoots. Who did you order it thru?
Im from Victoria too and am looking at getting one of these as im a left handed and a good left handed stock is hard to come by.
Would love to get in contact with you if i could
I brought it in myself, I'm at little river frequently, if you are it yell out
@@Archfile375 will you be there tomorrow?
@@priznaj I wish, I'm in isolation for 14 days
@@Archfile375 that sucks, i guess ill see you in 15 days lol. Id love to go thru a few things with you a out it there is just so many options ordering it online
Have you completed the build?
You got any pics?
After presumably some usage with this stock - do you still recommend it?
What durability is to be expected (scratches etc.).
I'll reply in detail tonight, tldr version. Live in Victoria Australia, locked in 5 to 10km radius of home, unable to test or even do load development for rifle
The finish is holding up fine with 3 range trips and the handling while bedding etc. These gel coat finishes do chip and mark. But not being a solid color you'll not notice.
The cheekpiece has a little forward and back motion if not tightened up which is user error.
It rides a rest well, it rides a bipod better than a lot of designs due to the low bore axis.
If I could change a single thing, it would be to add 1.5" to the front length, unlike the euro users we tend to run bigger cartridges without moderators and want the barrel length for ballistics. So having a longer front allows for a more stable weight balance for a LONG barrel -- think 28+ inch.
I do love the sharkskin grip texture, weight is perfect and the inlet was good (not perfect, but my action wasn't one they have a listed inlet, I had to jewelers file to get my action in. That is NOT a PSE fault.
