But yes, speaking of fitting into the "norm", skinship is very normal in SK. I thought I would add this. Yes, there are groups that fake "skinship" to be seen as close with each other. Or some would use it as a act of "fan service" (do certain things not because you're actually close but because your fans expect it and like it) And please do not think that skinship is queer baiting. I've seen some discussions on twitter. There is queer baiting and it happens in k-pop too and there's skinship that has nothing to do with queer baiting.
Also, agreed with another commenter who recommended you two reacting to 'A Guide to the Bangtan 7' by Taylor. It'll give her a nice snapshot of what they're like musically and as people as well as their interactions with each other. Especially since she mentioned how tactile they are in their affection. She'll get to see it in a more real-world context so she can see their bond and friendship away from just the music. I think she'll enjoy the positive, funny, sweetness to their little family.

I normally don’t comment, but I have been brewing on this and I just wanted to put it out there. That was an interesting discussion during Spring Day, and I’m sad you were so crushed by the comments. I agree that art is meant for open interpretation and to grow and age with circumstances. Despite artist intention, once its “out there” the art lives and takes root that should resonate with whomever encounters it. One of the reasons they call Spring Day “the queen” is because it has stayed in the Korean charts for however many years. It’s not just ARMY that keep it on the charts, but because its a good song and even people unfamiliar with BTS like it. It speaks to them for whatever personal reason. The song has taken form as whatever the listener interprets it as, despite what RM or Lumpens intended it to be. Personally, the reason why I love this song is not necessarily the message, but the poetry of the lyrics that really can’t be properly translated into any language and I want to say that’s okay too. I enjoy your monologues, but this discussion was just as enjoyable. I’m here for Mel’s channel whenever she is ready.
FIRE is a song about living to the fullest and not being afraid to make mistakes, because everyone is allowed to take risks, make mistakes and learn from them. I suppose "fire" represents that youthful passion, that has no inhibitions.

I adore Roundhouse already. I've said it before but I'm gonna say it again. Your friendship just makes sense. You both are so open minded and introspective while also being observant and empathetic. You seem like two lovely people (in as much as you can judge a person you've never met based on what little you see of them online of course). It's cute that you two had a little food exchange hangout where she brought snacks and you shared your drinks. I'm still sad that your interpretation got shot down when you first did Spring Day. I still think your perspective was beautiful and perfectly valid considering all of the pieces you put together. There was once a theory in media called The Magic Bullet Theory which was debunked a long time ago. It was the idea that if an audience consumes a particular kind of media, it will affect them directly in a specific way based on the content. Eg. violent rap music will make people violent. The concept was that the messages in media will go straight to the minds of the audience like a magic bullet and affect them. In the end, it was found that media didn't work that way because audiences aren't passive consumers mindlessly reading/watching/listening to content as blank sponges soaking everything up. Otherwise we'd all react to the same media in the same way. Instead we all have our unique personalities, life journeys, interpersonal experiences, cultural influences, etc that form a unique perspective. And we all consume media and filter it through that perspective. It is less likely that the violent rap music made the person violent so much that a person with a curiosity, interest, inclination or tendency toward violence will seek out that material because it interests them and that speaks to an existing mentality. Meanwhile someone with no violent inclination will hear the same music and feel no pull and may even feel revolted by it. My point is that it's silly to think that any piece of art can be interpreted only one way. That's not how media works. We can all read a book and come out of it with different ideas of what it's truly about because different things will stand out to different people. Your reading of Spring Day is just as valid as anyone else's. I think the connect to the Sewol Tragedy struct such a huge chord with many that they like to think of it as The One True Meaning but BTS has always been multi-layered. It's an injustice to them to now decide that no one can apply their own perspective to their art. They always make music for themselves and Army and so however their music speaks to Armys is always right if the interpretation is out of sincerity, not malicious intent or intellectual dishonesty. I won't condone antis trying to twist their words to misrepresent them out of meanness on purpose. What you did was sincere so it's valid.

I watched all the shorts but I'm glad I sat and watched the whole thing. I love Roundhouse! I make kimchi too! I was born in Korea, I'm actually a quarter Korean and a quarter Japanese. More on skinship, physical affection- I recall seeing a video from an American guy teaching Jr. or Sr. High in Korea and he commented on skinship. Boys will touch each other’s hair, rest their head on someone’s lap, etc, it’s just part of being friends. I’ve seen in Korean and Chinese movies and shows, that girls, women, men that are friends hold hands while walking too. V acted the same way with his 4 buddies on the 2022 reality show In The Soop Friendcation, which are very famous Korean singers and actors including Parasite actor Choi Woo Shik. Close physical contact with the same sex is not considered gay. Actually Korea is very conservative and unfortunately not very welcoming to LGBTQ people so there are very few celebrities that are out of the closet. It is also not acceptable in Asia for (straight) couples to kiss in public, show public romantic affection beyond holding hands.
