Clearly sounds better, but I wouldn't stop there! Any plans to change (even though you've painted it black) the rear section? IMO it will further enhance the sound but also the look.
@@TheBimmerBarn I've added an Eisenmann slip-on system to my M2 Comp. IMO If you're chasing power I would suggest a stage 1 tune. Nothing comes close in terms of dollar per KW. I'm waiting for the warranty period to expire, do the tune, charge pipes and fit some wider, stickier rubber on all round. 500 hp in a car of this size - I can't wait!
Hi Chris, I'm going to be doing my install solo. I noticed you started the cutting with the stock muffler installed but later removed the entire midpipe+exhaust. I'd prefer to leave the stock muffler on since I'm installing solo. Did it just end up being too much of a pain to leave the muffler installed when you were trying to cut? Thanks!
We don't have OPF system required here (yet). But for most OPF vehicles, the system is integrated into the catalytic converter, so if you do a cat-back system you won't need to reprogram.
Hi Chris, I wonder if your M2 comp originally had GPF or not. Your OEM sound seems already better than most of the European RUclipsrs demonstrating M2 Comp OEM exhaust sound. I was confused when the dealer says my M2 Comp has no GPF while I initially thought it has...
Hi Chris, do you think the AA midpipe is enough to transform the sound. Not interested in downpipe, but might consider adding a Remus or similar, but I'd like to keep it simple. Also was that Stock Muffler in the video painted black? I think it looked much better. I have a stage 1 tune, but just need to give that exhaust a bit more.
Chris Buisson I might be going to far with this question but around how much money should someone be making to buy an m2 comp I’m a junior in college and my goal one day is two buy one. I know they are around 45k plus.
@@Gripped-ig3ot Haha this isn't my car, but you don't need to be a millionaire to lease one. Your monthly payment can range anywhere from 400-600 a month.

Next up is more likely to be a downpipe to start chasing power! We can always do aftermarket tips for the muffler.

Nice! I’ve got active autowerkes downpipes & midpipe on my M3 CS
Great combo, love AA parts

Is this the single midpipe? Any reason you picked this over equal length?
Nice tutorial vid! Question, you guys in US? You dont have the OPF filters right?

Thank you for the vid, is there any drone?
Thanks for the great video! Does deleting the secondary cat cause any omission problems?
No!

GPF isn't required here in the states so the exhaust configuration from factory is a little different!

Yes the rear muffler was painted, helps it disappear under the bumper. The sound is great, like 30-50% of what you would get with a downpipe
after install was there any weird resonance from cold start as it transitioned into the warm idle? I get a weird hum/shimmy burp during the changeover
Possibly the factory valves changing over and rattling after cold start?
Single or EL? Can’t decide between the two.
Haven't heard the EL in person yet, but the Single is very deep I liked it :)
Hey man are they slip on exhaust tips ? If so where are they from :)
I believe the tips in the video are factory sport tips, hope that helps!
Hi there! Is there just change mid pipe the rest is still original?
Yes, mid-pipe only!
Did installing this throw codes?
No codes! It's a cat back pipe, car cannot tell that it's installed.
@@TheBimmerBarn thank you very much for the info! I’m shopping for an exhaust but I didn’t want to touch coding.
My dream car and my dream sound. Do you mind telling me how much the upgrades cost ??
The mid-pipe from Active Autowerke runs about $900USD.
Chris Buisson is that the only exhaust mod you have cuz it sounds perfect
@@Gripped-ig3ot Yes, factory exhaust and downpipe.

Jon, great to hear from you. Send me an email and maybe I can help you out! chrisb.buisson@gmail.com
Does this bring CEL on?
Fortunately it does not create a CEL! It's just a catback system, the car won't throw any codes
Did it come with the clamps?
Yes it comes with clamp and all hardware needed to install
Is this factory muffler?
Yes, all the rest is factory!
stock tune?
Yes
So no opf programation needed ?
Nope! We didn't touch the primary catalytic converters here, so the car doesn't know what happened.
I think the guys in the US don‘t get the OPF ( gasoline particle filter) anyway, so even stock the car should be louder than a european one
*sighs* I guess it's time to buy more car parts🥴
drone?
None!
Wait it's advertised as no cutting
If you purchase the full rear section, its just bolt on. I just did the center pipe in this video, so cutting required!
